I wake it up - I have to enter my password - and he says there is no internet connection... I have to stop it and restart it.

This problem occurs using only the LAN connection or have you noticed the same situation using Wireless LAN?

In case this happens only by using the LAN connection, I recommend you to check if you can update the LAN driver.

You can also right click on the network icon (in the taskbar) and could choose to diagnose and repair.

  • Cannot share the internet connection on the network with sprint card

    Hi all

I'm stumped on this one. I'm working on my network of fathers, and he lives in a rural area. Unfourantely, there are not a lot of internet service here. It uses a printed card that connect locally to a windos vista home pc. From there on, the connection is shared and that the pc is connected to a linksys router. The router, then hosts a wireless network and hard line connections. About three weeks ago, the Internet stopped working except the computer, map of sprint is hung directly. I tried the following options below to solve the problem.

    1. I can plug the card sprint to any computer and it works.

    2. I replaced the network adapter on the host computer

    3. I have tried the card sprint on other computers and tried to share from there. Same result

    4. replace the router

5 opportunity anotehr card Sprint which has been known to work

    6. replace the network cable between pc and router

    7. I tried removing the router from the equation and ran a network of host pc card form for directly to another computer

    8. the host and also renovated of other computers reformated

    9. do you have an ipconfig/release and renew

10 tried sharing all NICs on the host PC

When sharing the connection, I can see all the computers on the network. They arise, there is simply not an internet connection.

The only mistake that I seem to get is not able to find the DNS. I put everything on dhcp.

Any ideas that anyone can come would be most appreciated. Thank you

  • After an update of Windows (XP), my internet connection hangs up

Earlier this summer after letting one of my netbook computers have a "update" for Windows my connection switched to internet hangs up.  I don't have to troubleshoot it at the time because I got another XP netbook that had not been updated and it continued to work.  Unfortunately the next time I had a connection high speed available let him update this netbook also, and now it crashes on the dial-up connection.  In both cases, I use the same modem.  I connected the modem to a Windows 7 computer and he composed and connects to the internet and works very well.  It's something to do with the Windows updates for XP netbooks.  Is there a known issue with this?

... I am a little concerned about any specific questions about my internet security

You should be concerned!  McAfee (and Norton) applications are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

Note: The following assumes that none of your McAfee subscriptions (or free trial period) have already expired...

[You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. [If a step said to restart, restart! ]

    1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. physically disconnect the computer from the internet and local networks.

4 uninstall McAfee Internet Security via Add/Remove Programs & reboot.

5 IMPORTANT! => Make absolutely certain that the Windows Firewall is enabled (Yes, even if you are not connected to the internet).

    6. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then reboot again.

7 to reconnect your computer to the internet. Do NOTHING else online until you have completed ALL the steps below!

    8. do a clean install of Norton Internet Security using your CD.  If you purchased the software directly from McAfee, go to https://home.mcafee.com/Secure/Protected/Login.aspx to connect and download your software.  FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS!

9 IMPORTANT! => Manually and repeatedly updating McAfee Internet Security until you get a "not more than updated" or similar prompt.

    10. open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

11 IMPORTANT - DON'T SKIP THIS STEP! Open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 of => [ignore all DO NOT APPLY or NOT RECOMMENDED warnings] & run the difficulty in DEFAULT modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1] [2].

  • Satellite A210-SP6812 hangs after hibernation with a Wi - Fi connected

I have a Satellite A210-SP6812 running with win XP SP3, and when I turn into suspend mode and later he attends the hibernation (I have the choice in Toshiba energy saving) it will, but after that you will wake up never the system again unless you reset the laptop.

It is important to note that this only happens when the WiFi is enabled (Realtek RTL 8187 (B). I'm updating this driver but nothing works. Once it happened when the laptop was inside my bag and despite the hibernate after the suspension, he hooked up with all coolers & heat inside was amazing.
An idea of the cause of it?

    Thanks for your support!

    Leo

Have you updated the BIOS? Perhaps the problem will be solved.

If it isn't, then it might be another problem in Windows. Maybe a 3rd driver is causing a conflict. Recovery time should solve the problem.

  • Windows live family safety makes the network/internet connection hang at 6 + minutes at startup

When starting the laptop, the system hangs and does not connect to the internet for another 6 minutes after it starts.  Programs such as MS office Internet will work, while wait us... and wait...

After 6 minutes it just connects and runs normally without assistance.

I am running windows live family safety on a Vista sp2 with all updates completed.

If I uninstall WLFS then the problem disappears.

This happened for several months, but has only been bought to my attention by my niece, who, at the age of 12, all machines take 8.5 minutes to start to work!  I guess that there is a bug in an update somewhere causing this as it was working fine when I initially installed and set up the machine.

  • Internet connection no longer works with WRT54G Router V3

I had a router WRT54G V3 works successfully for a few years now, with a couple of PC wireless via a cable modem Comcast as my ISP.  All of a sudden yesterday, no PC can access the internet.  No changes had been made to the router.

I contacted Comcast and they had me of course wire hard one from my PC to the cable modem.  It worked and I was able to access the internet.  However, when I tried to put the router in place (in a wired or wireless), I couldn't access the internet.

I tried after the Linksys online troubleshooting documentation.  The lights that lights turn on on the router are on.  I can access the router setup web page that displays the settings still intact.  I tried to go through the sequencing of power without result.  Comcast says my router is the culprit of my problem, but I don't know why it would suddenly stop working.  My wireless printer still works as well as it detects a signal and my PC shows that it is connected, but no internet access is possible.

What should I do?  Are there other available diagnostic tools?  Cat people won't help because I am out of warranty.

First update the firmware for routers to the last level.  Once hard reset the router and reconfigure from scratch.  Now, try to connect again.

  • Satellite L750 system hangs after disconnecting the WLan

I bought Satellite L750 series laptop I have connected Wifi. If I disconnect the Wifi system get hooked. I can't do anything to that. I've updated the driver software and I checked all the possibilities that my knowledge.

    > if I disconnect Wifi system and then get hooked.

I assume you are using Fn + F8 to toggle the wifi.
    Right?
Have you tried to restore the system to verify if there is a system problem?
I think you should do and need to retrieve the laptop using the HDD recovery procedure
Turn on the device, press F8, choose repair my computer, choose HARD drive recovery and follow the instructions on the screen, then you will get the system with the factory settings.
    Then test the WLan.

I have Win 7(32bit) installed, internet is to be provided by the cable operator but I can t set up a connection. As mentioned system is Virgin up, has no drivers or service packs, etc., which is obvious since I can t have internet access. What should I do next?

    Asia

At first install all the necessary drivers, tools, and services public, especially with LAN and WLAN driver (internet connection). After having done that connect the LAN cable and check the internet connection.
