  XP can handle drives of 1 TB to NTFS without problem - it's the motherboard on computers more elders who may have problems, that it is not compatible LBA.
  There is really no need to partition the disk, but I would tend to opt for about 60 GB for the operating system and 100 GB of data and then move the folder My Documents (using the option in its properties) of the data partition.   I'm U400 too and I m running Win XP and Vista without problem!
  At that time, I m using WiFi and everything works ok

  I think it s not a Wlan related question, but there must be another reason why this laptop locks maybe a problem of RAM or something like that.

• Satellite L750 - no WiFi after fashion 'sleep'

  My L750 unusually blue screen of death would be while I was checking fanatic TV on sitejabber then I restarted in safe mode, turn off wi - fi with FN + F8, made a backup and then rebooted normally. But now, after that every time that the computer wakes up fashion 'sleep' it says 'no networks are available. If I hit FN + F8 it says it's 'on' but seems to be lying because if I hit again to turn it off and then once more to make it back, then it auto connects as usual. • Satellite A500 - 17 X frequently disconnect the router wireless - weird

  Had this problem since I bought the laptop about a month ago. It connects very well to our wireless (full signal, speeds), but sporadically disconnects for no apparent reason. When I try to reconnect, the signal passes of five (full) bars up to three bars and it won't let me log in again, no matter what I try. When I click on it it loads just for a while and then said it was impossible to establish a connection. Troubleshooting / repair does nothing. The only way to fix it is to pull the power on the router and then plug it in again, resetting the connection.

  It seems that this is a problem with the router, but I have tried in other houses and it does exactly the same thing on the connections of others. Other devices are still able to use the connection after mine died. My laptop and install broadband (Virgin Media) are only one month.

  I tried to install the WLAN drivers on the toshiba site, but it changed nothing.

  Someone can think all possible solutions before you give up and take it back to the shop?
