• vCloud Director or vRealize Automation?

  I was hoping I could get some advice regarding the choice between vCloud Director and vRealize Automation. We have set up a test environment for vCloud Director however read some articles, it seems that it is a product that reaches the end of life for businesses, but not for service providers.

  So my question is a service provider should us be implementation vCloud Director or vRealize Automation? We do not want to be in a position to migrate off vCloud in a year.

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  I can't make any kind of recommendation between the two, because I don't know what you want to do with the products.

  Addressing the availability of the product and the support of it:

  vCloud Director just won't be available to independently purchase and withdrew the license of the Suite from 6.x.  You must purchase the license 5.x to get it (assuming that it is available)... This aspect, if not suite your needs right now until mid-2017 (when vCloud will end support for users of the company).  From 2017, you have to make a decision as to what will replace vCloud or continue to use vCloud Director, even if we will not offer support for it.

  VRealize Automation will meet your needs?  I do not know without knowing your use case and requirements... that is for discussion of a VMware sales representative.

  Apart from all this: VSPP is the VMware service provider program.  A version of vCloud Director will exist for them, but it is precisely for them (members of the VSPP program).  Unless you work for a member of the VSPP program, the statements above concerning vCloud Director are what you think.

  If you are Member VSPP, vCloud Director for the providers of services (5.6.x) is available as the direct vcloud Director 5.5.x successor.  Then by all means we will continue to support these versions, and it can be used to manage resources like a Cloud provider.

  I had a number of people say they are service providers, which is very beautiful.  Be a VSPP means being in a specific program of VMware, which gives access to certain things (which AFAIK is vCloud for Service providers).

  I'm not trying to be harsh or terse here, but I want to just make sure we do differentiation key on what is available to whom and how.

  I have a request to vRAAS presented at vRA. It deploys successfully in the catalog of vRA.

  Currently DPPA does not know that the machine is expired or deleted of the vRA so that she feels her place and running so that him point will not be removed from DPPA.

• How to remove the missing element of vRealize Automation Administration Console?

  When I destroyed a VM some error occurred while the VM has not been properly destroyed.

  If you are able to find the item in the database, then you will find just the respective ID column that contains the GUID. Just to get the GUID and paste it into the bottom door place.

  (Here to replace the item id that was removed in vCAC and run the above query.)

  Dear all,

  I'm new to the cloud of vmware. By studying the Rainpole scenario published along the VRA 7.0 documentation, I managed to the initial installation of the unit and everything went well.

  I'm afraid we're getting top of my head now. The only things I can suggest to check are:

  (1) the endpoint name provided installation has on exactly match the name that you provide during the installation (and I think you mentioned you knew that)

  (2) account of the privileges for the credentials you provided for the management of vSphere: scenario: create credentials of vSphere for Rainpole (and if, during the installation of vRA, you have configured the agent vSphere for "integrated" credentials - check if you have provided these same credentials then)

  (3) name of user and password - just check double is the one who has enough credentials and password entered correctly

  (4) port requirements (especially 443 must be open on vSphere machine) vRealize ports required Automation configurations

  Nabster uses the Initial Catalog of installation element to set the end point: it's a little different than configuration traditionally by infrastructure > endpoints. (See attachment)

• vRealize Automation 6.2.1 and business 6.1 fresh install on vSphere/vCenter 5.5 u2

  I'm still current SSO and vCenter on u2 5.5.  I installed all DNS and double checked all network configs.

  I installed devices and Automation joined my SSO very well.  So I could get a very good business to join the Automation SSO.  My problem is in the console of the automation in the business management tab.  He continues to request a license key.  I entered the license key of the corporate aircraft and I also tried a business license now vCloud I update to version 6, but the circle swirly maintains just spinning.  If I hit save that nothing ever happens.

• Vrealize Automation 7 IAAS is not visible in the web interface VRA

  I'm new to the automation Vrealize part. I just did the full setup of vRA 7 successfully and asked that the content original all works very well. But when I design, I don't see the IAAS ASAX tab. I have VMware vRealize Suite 7 Enterprise key and its accepted also in vRA 7.

  Can someone tell me why I can't see the tab of IAAS. Second, even the software components are empty, I can't import the ISO images that I have in them.

  IM do not know a way to do this through vRA using native properties. I have to do this through vRO modirying the property of 'vm.config.bootOptions.bootDelay' of the VM object.

  You can always add a crowd of VRA rest with no authenticaction, but you will still need to obtain an authentication of the symbolic holder and who spend using an authorization header. I would recommend a disconnection of your output chip once you are done so that you do not leave chips remaining. Once you have a workflow to get a token, you can then start to take advantage of the API normally... 6.2 has a new service of booking via the api REST of COFFEE, or you can use the CRUD operations and linqpad to create and edit reservations based on the plugin infrastructure, vRA.

• vRealize Automation Server 6.2 configuration problem

  Hi all:

  When I config the SSO in vRA settings, I have a problem. When I typed the password and host SSO, click on save settings, the application gives me an error: error calling vCAC tools.

  The identity unit works very well. Anyone get it at? If I missed something, pls advise.

  I had a similar problem when connecting to an external database that appeared to be from my password starting with a symbol.

  

  Note: all services have started/saved.

  

  After having changed my password on the database other than starting with a symbol seems to solve my problem. Hope that helps.

  When I try to create an endpoint inside vRealize Automation 6.2 EC2, I don't have the ability to select EC2.
