  • Embed BI Publisher into a Web application

    Hi all

As part of a BI project, we must develop reports statistics for customers and we can user BI Publisher for the case.

Our customer already receives a web application, so we wonder if it is possible to incorporate the BI Publisher in this web application and allow the client to view the reports.

    Thanks for your help

Of course, use BI Publisher webservices. There are a few articles that talk about this.
    Look at this:
    1 Webservices documentation:

  • Is BI Publisher, a Client or a Web Application

I'm just checking if BI Publisher is a Web product or customer.

I had always if it were a client product, you could use a data source to create reports. However, I just installed OBIEE 10-1-3-4-1 and I would point out that if I use the < my URL > http:// host: 9704/xmlpserver /.

I get a BI Publisher Enterprise login page

What is c? What is a web server of BI deployment

I assume that port 9704 is simply my OC4J port - so BI Publisher is deployed through OC4J?

But I get not much further - I enter my BI Server admin user / password and then get the error:

Cannot use the server because of a configuration error. Please see the BI Publisher user guide

all advice / answers greatly appreciated
    Jim

In a Word... BI Publisher is a web application.

The web interface is used to create and run reports, among other things. BI Publisher reports usually use a layout template. Available models are usually constructed using a tool called BI Publisher Desktop (can also be done manually). It is essentially a plug-in for MS Word allowing to build models of page layout using the Word BI Publisher interface. It lets you also connect to the BI Publisher server to browse the benfit of report and download templates available that you build. BI Publisher Desktop is an important tool for reporting, but it is as a component of the application of BI Publisher. The desktop component manages the design layout, the web component does all the rest.

  • Publication of Web Applications on the local IIS server

    Hi all

I have problems trying to publish a Web site on my local server.

I got up a local box of Windows Server 2008 with IIS running by default on its site.

What I'm trying to do is to publish a 5 ASP.Net MVC application to test and run on my local network.

The application is built successfully on my dev machine Windows 8 using Visual Studio Premium to 2013, but when I try and publish it, publication fails.

I am trying to publish via Web Deploy and have installed and running on the server of WWW Publishing Service.

    The error I get when trying to test connection is;

Unable to connect to the remote computer ("PRDAP01") using the process specified ("Web Management Service") because the server did not respond.

Make sure that the ('Web Management Service") process is started on the remote computer.

    More on «...» "/fwlink/? LinkId = 221672 #COULD_NOT_CONNECT_TO_REMOTESVC.

The remote server returned an error: (403) forbidden.

The user name and password with which I used to publish are valid.

In the Web Publishing Wizard, I use the following settings before confirming the connection.

    Server: PRDAP01

    Site name: PRDAP01/home

    User name:

    Password: *.

    Destination URL:

Should I create whatever it be put in place in advance on the server before trying to publish on it?

Is there documentation that explains just what I need to do, in order to allow the publication?

  • Publish a web or my-RIO service

Hello and good day to you all.

IAM trieng to publish a simple web service on the NOR my RIO which turns on and off one of the LED dashboard.

If I run the application normally it works, but if I try to post I get an error message that says: no web application service is enabled.

When I go into the properties of myrio in my LabVIEW project I find the option "configure web application server ' not selectable.

Can someone advise me what code will be at the origin of this problem.

    Kind regards

    Ahmed

Hmm... I didn't think you needed web installed app server by the example to work, but maybe you do.  I don't know whether I've installed it on my myRIO.

You can install the application through MAX Web server

(from memory here so some the designation may be slightly off)

    1. Launch of MAX

    2. Find your myRIO under remote systems and expand it (click on the +)

    3. Make a right click software and remove choos

    4. Choose custom installation or recommended software together and then make sure you put a checkmark next to Web application server.

The myRIO will reboot and you should be good to go.

Let us know if that solved the problem.

  • Deployment of Web Services has failed. Web applications server OR still load.

I installed LabVIEW 2013 and I am trying to publish the web service. Every time I try, I see this message: "unable to Web Services deployment. The Server Web applications OR load again. »

I don't know how to stop or complete this loading. I have reinstalled LabVIEW 2013, removed LV 2012 and other software. In addition, when I restart the 32-bit server, I have old web services installed. Even if I do not publish them, they appear after the transition to 64-bit-> 32-bit server.

I will be grateful for your help.

    Peter

    Hi all

It was a problem introduced with the new deployment of LabVIEW web services in 2013, specifically on laptops (classified as CAR 422680). It is fixed in the patch of f1 2013 LabVIEW. This patch is available for download here and you can get more information about the patches in the patch here. The patch will travel via Service Update OR later this month.

  • Is this normal duplicate planning entered appear in Weblogic after a web application deployment?

    Hi all

I am currently installing Hyperion Planning more v11.1.2.3.00 on 3 different servers of MS Windows 2008 Server R2 (x 64) (that is to say, HYP01, HYP02 and HYP03) in a mode of Standard deployment typical, as follows:

    -HYP01 Server: Essbase;

    -HYP02 server: planning;

-HYP03 server: Foundation (IE, SSP, workspace), EPMA, Manager of calculation, financial reports, Reporting and analytical framework, analysis Web, Essbase Administration Services, Essbase Studio, WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server.

as noted in Chapter 1 of the Standard EMP Deployment Guide.

I followed the steps to install Planning on HYP02 and then noticed that he appeared in the administration console (installed on HYP03) WebLogic as "Planning0" (see attachment 20141210-MJ-ORA - OWLServerStatus_BeforeHPDeployment.jpg) running on the server HYP02. I was able to access the login page of planning, but due to some problems with the workspace, I was not able to verify whether the planning was available in the workspace (it's a question I've been working with Oracle's Support staff).

After the launch of the EPM on the HYP03 system configurator, I noticed that he had picked up this planning remained to be deployed... so I have authorized its deployment. At the end of this step, I restarted all servers and access the WebLogic administration console again. That's when I noticed that there is now an entry for 'Planning0' and 'Planning of the depenses1' (see attached 20141210-MJ-ORA - OWLServerStatus_AfterHPDeployment.jpg), showing that 'Planning0' was no mention of a server it was running on when 'Planning of the depenses1' will run on the server HYP03 (IE, not the HYP02).

Without being able to access the workspace again (I'm working on the resolution of a recurring problem with the Support of Oracle), I would like to know the following:

1 - is normal\advisable to 'Planning0' and 'Planning of the depenses1' appear in the WebLogic administration console?

    2. If it is normal\advisable, how can I remove\delete 'Planning of the depenses1' of the WebLogic administration console? The removal\deletion will cause problems with my installation?

Any other advice\pointers would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    JBM

If you intend to deploy to both HYP03 and HYP02, then that is what you did and stick with it, if you only intend to be deployed to HYP02, then you need to change the configuration.

I don't know why you think that all EMP products are now highly available as it seems only that planning is such that it has been deployed on two servers, what Essbase and other web applications?

    See you soon

  • Access to Web applications

    Hello everyone,

I try to access a web application resides on an internal network to internet through portal workspace 2.1.

I added the application in the catalog simply copy the internal URL, without authentication profile. On the internet, I am able to access the user portal and see all the app and the desktop as well. No problem of access to the desktop that I put the url of the Security server in the range of external network, but when I try to access the application, another browser window are only open pointing to my internal url that is obviously not be solved.

The question is, my web application is to be published on the internet or, as I'd hoped, is the portal of the workspace that should act as a "reverse proxy" to my internal web application?

    Thanks a lot

    ALE

Portal of the workspace reverse not traffic proxy or tunnel to internal resources. You must connect to a VPN, publish the application on the Internet or use Airwatch with by the VPN application functionality. Workspace management law, but clients must be able to connect to the resource.

  • Problems to open the Web Application host with only IE comments

I'm running a Windows 2008 R2 using VMWare Workstation 7.1.5 prompt.  The customer has an installed web application which is only compatible with MS Internet Explorer.  The guest network is configured to use NAT.

When my host is connected to the local network of my company, I can use Internet Explorer to host to access web applications of the customer without any problem.

When my host is not connected to the local network of my company (completely disconnected, or connected to a different network) I can't use Internet Explorer of the host to access web application of the burst.  But I can use the host Chrome or Firefox to access the customer applications.

My company has my locked host IE while I can't make changes to it.  Is there something I can do with my network settings to get IE think it is connected to the local network of the company?

    Thanks Steve

It wasn't a DNS issue since I knew that I was able to connect using Chrome.

It was a restriction of IE, but I was finally able to work around this problem.  My company gave me access to a local account on the machine that had full administrative rights.  Since it is a local account is not all corporate policies pushed to him.  In case you're wondering, I created a shortcut with the following command:

    C:\Windows\System32\runas.exe/user:\administrator "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.

Runs like a champ.  You will be asked for the password for the local account and then you are able to IE without restrictions.

I wish that we thought of this earlier

I have a requirement like this. I have a category of articles and Blog posts

So lets say blog category needs on field

    Title

Suppose the blogs will have the following fields sets

    Title

Category (a list of categories of category webapp)

    Description

Can I know how can I get the dropdown category from another Web application? Or is there a solution for this instead of creating a Web application?

  • Elements of Web application with the user that the entry of the item on the list

I have this point of web application that I will use it in a sort of forum, and I need to have the username who posted the question on the list view.

I can't do it to show to the user who published the article I also have this code were it shows you users who are loged in the area secure real-time.

{module_whosloggedin, page} hope this helps for something I really need this.

    Thank you in advance.

I already found the answer if any of you guys need too.

It was pretty easy if you understand the business catalyst site, what I wanted to do was that whenever a registered user of my site made a web app point for the entry of username on this element of specific Web-based app, a bit like in the forum, you have the user who posted the article.

This has been possible thanks to a module, I've done that I created another field of the web application that is named user and it was a text field, and then click the web entry form app, I put this entry as hiden field and gave a value of {module_username} in the page layout view I put the {tag_user} and I had this entry field named user have the value entered automatically and my users has failed on the ground, information was made by himself and in the list it shows that displayed the web application element.

hope this helps someone, if you want more information on this solution do not hesitate to ask.

  • WebHelp display in firefox called from web application problem

We use RoboHelp 7.03. When the WebHelp is generated, it seems that the topics of navigation all start immediately with some illegal characters. This isn't a problem in Internet Explorer: it does not take into account these characters and displays our pages to help very well. In Firefox, however, the WebHelp loops trying to open the page of the main topic and does not display the "show TOC" link to subpages. (Navigation pages, to which I refer are the skin files whgdata, whdata, etc..)

I must point out, this happens only for the project that we call for in an application based on the web, we offer our customers. Firefox displays the WebHelp correctly opening regularly from the browser.

I did a search and -replace operation on the WebHelp published to the web application. Remove illegal characters took care of the problem, but I wonder that if there is a way to remove these characters from the output, so he can't remember to do the search and replace whenever we publish the project? (It's in beta right now, we will be republishing help quite often.)

These characters are known as the BOM characters. See point 22 of http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh7/using_rh7.htm.

You say that the behavior is different when you run help independently, and when developers are calling for help. If you are viewing from somewhere else? What happens if the aid is run from the use of the developer location but regardless of the application?

  • SE Oracle develops custom web applications?

    Hi all!

I want Oracle to develop this web application. Of course, I'll give you all the details and specifications, but Oracle will do real programming. Oracle does this? If this is not the case, do you know of any company that does?

    Luke,

I think they will sit down with you and get to a document specifying your functional needs. This will result in an estimate of how long it will take and how much it will cost. They build and perhaps even administer it.
They will use Oracle products as much as possible, it will be at least Oracle's RDBMS and Oracle Application Server (full product). Oracle Application Express looks like too low for your purpose.
As for "exactly what you want": it makes me smile. I was however quite a long time to see many projects fail because of unclear customer specifications.

  • the difference between the Web application server and Web server?

What is the functional difference and the relationship between the Server Web applications and Web server, for example: Weblogic is the Application Web server, IIS is the Web server, Apache is the Web server and Oracle Application Server is the Application Web server? Someone said, Web Application Server is a Web server, but more functional superset, seems in this case, we can also use a server of web applications as a web server. For example, we can use Weblogic, but do not use IIS and Apache, please correct me?
