VSOM-POC-Clarification needed

Dear Experts,

We do a POC project. Need to give demo for 2 cameras of cisco & 2 third-party cameras.

We have a box of UCS220 and Esxi6.0 is installed on it.

-Are there any license required for Operations manager.

-Are there any license required for the media server.

-Are there any license required for third party cameras

-Can afford to media server in the same VM operation Manager. (as without adding new virtual machine for multimedia server)?

Secondly,.

What is the minimum space required for video recording.

Hello

-Are there any license required for Operations manager.

Yes.  I suggest that engage you your local Cisco representative to purchase.

-Are there any license required for the media server.

Yes.  I suggest that engage you your local Cisco representative to purchase.

-Are there any license required for third party cameras

Yes.  I suggest that engage you your local Cisco representative to purchase.

-Can afford to media server in the same VM operation Manager. (as without adding new virtual machine for multimedia server)?

Yes, that's what we call a "co-located" Server and it's easier to activate both roles when performing the initial installation of the installation of the VSM.

-What is the minimum space required for video recording.

Then that technically is not a 'minimum' to save the archives, I wouldn't start with less than several hundred GBs of storage media repositories.

There is a lot of information to consider... so I suggest that you find out the card of the following resources:

See you soon and good luck!

Once the data are updated and committed, it can still be present in the cache of the buffers as buffers "Sales".  Oracle can write down to the data files on drive sooner or later.

Anyone questioning the data after that validation will probably recover in the buffers in memory.  If, however, the data has been written to disk and the buffer memory are no longer available, the application must make a reading of the disc (data files).

  • Several CPU VM - Clarification needed

I have a few questions that I need stated on several CPU VM. So here it goes... one of our existing ESX servers, we have 8 logical processors (2 x quad core). All our virtual machines are uniprocessor VMS however a running SQL server and is now run out of resources because there have been some changes. Here are my questions:

    1. since it is a single CPU VM, does this mean that he can never use more than one of the logical processors (although there may be a large amount of free resources available on the ESX host)?

2 is it bad to add a second processor to a virtual computer and why? I noticed it says in a configuration that it could cause the VM to become unstable.

I would like to hear answers to the foregoing the benefits and disadvantages... personal experiences...

    Thanks in advance!

    (1) it is correct - a single vCPU can only work on one logical processor at the same time - a dual vCPU runs on two logical processors.

    (2) it is not bad to add a second vCPU if this is doen for the right reasons and it looks like you need a second vcpu - the reason why the recommendation for a single vcpu must with planning the vcpu - the vmkernel plan vcpus all a VM multi-vcpu simultaneously so if he can't schedule vcpus all the non-volonte get on demand - think of it this way it's easier to schedule 1 vCPU 2 or 4 - and if you have enough resources, you should be okay to add a second vcpu to your server SQL - the other thing to do if you add a second vcpu are of course the HAL is configured to support multiple processors.

  • Javascript break when thrown app.alert

    Hey everybody,

So I'm pretty new to Javascript, so be patient.

I created a form with several combo boxes that I validate when using final, click on send it via the email button that I created.

Very simply on the mouse upward javascript code that runs:

    var DD1 = this.getField("Dropdown1").value;

If (d1 is "Make a choice")

    App.Alert ("Please make a valid selection");

Then I have the code that sends the form by e-mail.

My question however, is if the app.alert is thrown to an "incorrect selection", the script still continues on and begins the email. I tried to move the electronic part of the script in a separate event for the mouse to the top. However, there is continuous on and launches the email.

What I would like to have happen is the code eliminate at the end and skip the electronic part until all the app.alerts not throw himself.

  • Several General Questions VMSphere/hypervisor - of a VM noob

    Hello

I am trying to wrap my head around the vm technology and I was hoping I could get some general indications. Any intervention on my sub questions would be more useful.

    1. What is the difference between ESXi Hypervisor and VMSphere?

    2. do I buy hardware from the HCL list to install the software?

    3. I am able to get a free license for VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESXi 4.1 + on the VM site. When I read the ESXi Setup Guide mentions buy licenses and will host to the evaluation mode. What it means? I complete the feature with the free license?

    4. is it possible to calculate the necessary RAM? The ESXi setup guide suggested that the 4 x demanding guest OS as 512 MB of RAM each eventually require 4 GB of RAM in the physical hardware. Does anyone have a guide for the calculation of costs? Is there a fixed RAM overload for the hypervisor software then determines the amounts for each additional guest OS that is actively running?

    5. can I operate more than one guest per core or processor operating system? Should I assign that one operating system prompted by core or processor?

    6. here is the application that I want to create - the VMSphere would be the correct software tool?

A physical set of hardware in a laboratory to run several virtual machines that are different flavors of windows server. Our application will be loaded on every version of windows so we can check to see how the application reacts to different OS. The traffic/impact on our application server is negligible.

If there is no clarification needed please let me know.

    1. What is the difference between ESXi Hypervisor and VMSphere?

ESXi Hypervisor edition refers to VMwares free ESXi license edition.  vSphere refers to the paid version of ESXi.  This is the same code and the license key that you apply (whether free or paid) determines the features that are available.

    2. do I buy hardware from the HCL list to install the software?

No, but if you go with low quality material, you may find yourself with questions of performance or stability that reflect the choice of the material.

    3. I am able to get a free license for VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESXi 4.1 +. When I read the ESXi Setup Guide mentions buy licenses and will host to the evaluation mode. What it means?

When you register for free ESXi, you will get a serial number.  Apply the same way as described in the installation guide.

    4. is it possible to calculate the necessary RAM? The ESXi setup guide suggested that the 4 x demanding guest OS as 512 MB of RAM each eventually require 4 GB of RAM in the physical hardware. Does anyone have a guide for the calculation of costs? Is there a fixed RAM overload for the hypervisor software then determines the amounts for each additional guest OS that is actively running?

Allocate 2 GB for ESXi and overhead, and then add what you need for virtual machines.  One of my guests of tests has 9 virtual machines allocated 13 GB and the host reports 14 GB in use.  ESXi is very good with the sharing of memory between virtual machines, so you can no longer allocate memory, but ideally get as much as you can.  It will make it easier if you find that you use several virtual machines that you have planned for.

    5. can I operate more than one guest per core or processor operating system? Should I assign that one operating system prompted by core or processor?

You can run more than one vCPU by heart.  If the host is lightly loaded, you can get between 5 and 8 vCPUs by heart.  It really depends on your VM load.

    6. here is the application that I want to create - the VMSphere would be the correct software tool?

A physical set of hardware in a laboratory to run several virtual machines that are different flavors of windows server. Our application will be loaded on every version of windows so we can check to see how the application reacts to different OS. The traffic/impact on our application server is negligible.

It'll be just fine for this.

  • Need a Clarification on the installed component and run Simulator Configuration

    Help!

I need clarification on what the plugin Eclipse is telling me. There are two parameters that are confusing me. For components installed (found under preferences/Window/BlackBerry JDE/Installed Components), I have a choice of 5.0.0 4.7.0,4.6.1, 4.6.0 4.5.0 and 4.3.0.

Depending on which component I select when I go in the tab Configurations.../Simulator/course walk, I see a different mix of devices.  In all cases, there is a default Simulator.

Initially, I assumed that each JDE component supports a mixture of different devices, and that is it compiled correctly, I would be assured that the app would work for all devices on the tab run Simulator Configuration.  In my tests, I found theopposite.  I also assume that, for each component of the JDE, there is a 'default' Simulator that was representative of all devices in the drop-down list run Configuration Simulator.  In my tests, am not sure what actually represents the Simulator 'by default'.

Can someone clarify how to JDE and Configuration simulators run installed interact and a developer show how to ensure that their application is running on a mix of devices?

When I finally get to the point where I am ready to deliver, what are the points of decision of installation?  Is it enough to simply require a specific version of an operating system (for example 4.7?) or do I have to create a grid and check the two model number and version of the operating system?

You can save a. CPTX (project) as one. CPTL (model) and convert later than for one. File CPTX? I just need a little clarification on this operation in Adobe Captivate 8. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, but I neglected to include a bit small (but essential) information on this thing cptl.

A file cptl is a model of Captivate. When you create one and create a new project based on a template, you point to the .cptl file. And at this time, no matter what the .cptl file has inside of it at this time is copied to a new project file. From there, you simply save the project and .cptx is assumed. The CPTL will already have the draft resolution together and many other things. The beauty is that once it is all set up correctly, it allows you to create faster training because you don't have to stop and consider things like the resolution of project, which should show the first slide, which should show the last slide, but also a host of other possibilities.

The reactive substance, you need to ask one of the new kids on the block who is struck with it. I'm old school and have yet to fully embrace it. It's new and full of contradictions. And I really struggled with how many people ask to see training which normally runs on a large monitor displayed on their tiny phone screens where text messages are often barely legible.

I want to know if the ANSI join is goig work properly or it will give me any Cartesian production information.

What happens when try you it? Is it produces the results you want?

Whenever you have any questions, post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results desired from these data. Explain how you get these results from these data.
Always tell what version of oracle you are using.
    See the FAQ forum {message identifier: = 9360002}

Why the SELECT clause includes only NULL? Is that going to serve as an EXISTS subquery? If so, why bother to make the outer joins, and why do you care if it is a Cartesian product? What is the query to go for?
For the purposes of debugging, you can include something that you see in the SELECT clause.

  • Need a bit of clarification here...

Hi, I was wondering if my machine 9210 M52 Thinkcentre (Small Form Factor) could support the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, because my Pentium 4 HT is getting old and I am looking for an upgrade.

I looked somewhere on the lenovo/IBM site and it says somewhere that the computer is capable of managing the Core 2 Duo. Then I looked on several forums, ask questions about the compatibiltiy with the processor, and they said that it was not possible. I also looked on the Intel site and it also sets out the motherboard and chipset is not compatible... what I need someone to actually clarfiy is that it can or can not handle the Core 2 Duo.

    Data sheet:

    Motherboard: Thinkcentre M52 - Socket LGA 775 3.3 Rev

Chipset: Intel 945G Express Chipset Family

    Thank you

    EDIT:

In fact, I read the page on the M52 detailed specifications and he registered the Pentium D taken processor supported higher... but the chipset CAN support the Core 2 Duo?

    Check these:

    http://www.Intel.com/products/desktop/chipsets/945g/945g-overview.htm

    http://www.digit-life.com/articles3/mainboard/Foxconn-945g7ad-8EKRS2H-i945g.html

Format of different plug and voltage, you have to replace the whole motherboard for possible upgrade.

This is going to be a long post, because I want to give good background.

I wrote a message on the cancellation of the automatic updates. Here, it is pasted:

"Windows updates are updates most of the time required of course there are glitches but then you must restore to the last frame of work and try to update again." Constant updates is a good indicator of your operating system is corrupted and you need for your system back to factory recovery install and update again.

Everyone has an opinion about updates.  On a Windows 7 system, the need for updates - once the system is installed and the main updates are installed, AND assuming that it does not install no matter what additional programs or software - is mainly to preserve the system of some security problems are hiding everything.

If you want to turn off Windows updates, then do it.  You are the admin.  It is your machine that is at risk - or not - and it is your decision to make.

You can switch automatic updates / stop in

Control Panel > set view icon > Windows Updates > settings

Windows updates - turn auto update or disable

    Essential programs

As a general rule, you must the programs running on the computer when it starts up which are included in the list of programs in the system and Microsoft programs in your startup file configuration list.

How to use MSCONFIG in Windows 7

Note the general Word - depending on what you have installed on your computer, your boot file can be filled with, well, an interesting range of programs that can indeed have slowed down the performance of your system over time.   Yet once, however, most of the programs - unless they are poorly written, or you forced them into the startup sequence when they belong there – are not by themselves slowing down the system by law "to be in the startup list.  In other words, you might consider doing some homework before snatching the programs in this list.

    -Comment-

Your computer contains only 4 GB of RAM and he is older; We say "vintage".  This is not to start with a lot of resources and Windows 7 can, in itself, consume a lot of what is available.  Windows 7 is greedy.

Add a gourmet operating system, a file system (perhaps) fragmented, a couple of badly written programs (bad code), less fast blazing to the Internet, and you might have the recipe for a slow computer.  I'm not saying that your computer is under one of these weaknesses, only that many computers don't have these problems.

    Resource monitor

Resource hogs could be traced using the resource monitor.  Even on Windows 7, the tool is pretty sophisticated. You can spend time learning how to use it effectively.  However, the program is very effective to help you quickly catch programs that are hogging resources (memory and network, for example) that you have available.  For example, if you have a program that took all the memory and ran Amok, so to speak, the monitor will be able to quickly show what offending program to the wrongdoer.  In most cases, you can kill the culprit (identify, right-click > kill).  If you trash your system and really hang things up, press the power button and accident-shut down the computer.  You really want to do it very often. but every Admin has made at least once a clearing.

    Maintenance

If the system is corrupted due to lack of maintenance, then you can provide this service by giving him some of the attention, he needs without actually going and perform a complete restore.  (Shudder).    Good maintenance, especially on a vintage with a limited capacity system helps the computer make the best use of its resources.

    Fingerprint login

After that all other maintenance was performed, it is possible that the following might help to restore the connection of fingerprints.  Understand that I have NOT used digital personal in a certain number of years and this is a quick overview of the subject.

    If you use a laptop:

    • Close all your programs and shut down your computer
    • Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
    • Perform the Hard Reset for your model of laptop
    • Start the computer and connect
    • Reinstall your driver validity sensor:

    validity sensor Driver V2.1.0.2 RevA Win7 sp52354

    • Restart the computer and log in
    • (Re) Install the Digital Persona software

sp50048 Digital Persona Fingerprint Reader Software V5.1.0.175 Rev A

At this point, I restart the computer once more and sign in, although this software is so robust that you could get away with jumping final restart.
