  • What configuration of VMWare will work better for me?

I have two sets of applications currently residing in two servers for exchanging information between them. A set of applications runs under SUSE Linux. The other set of applications runs under Windows 2008 Server x 64. I can rebuild both the Linux SUSE and Windows applications as 32-bit or 64-bit 32 vs 64-bit isn't a concern. To reduce the cost of deployment of the equipment, I want to run both sets of applications on a single Intel Blade base server. I'm envisioning running VMWare on Linux (if possible) which will then host a Windows VM, but I'm willing to accept another configuration that could be the best idea. What is of critical importance for me is stability applications must run under an SLA (Service Level Agreement).

After the VMWare web site, is not clear to me what product I should consider to achieve the above objectives. What would be the optimal configuration and the VMWare product to achieve this configuration to satisfy my above stated requirements?

I guess you are talking about a BL460c. It works perfectly with ESXi. With 8 GB and (hopefully) RAID 1 mirroring it should work perfectly. Make sure you have BBWC for your RAID controller. This makes a huge difference in the performance of the disk.

  • If your computer comes with a hard drive of 32-bit pc will work better by adding another hard drive of 60 bits or transfer all files on the hard drive of 60 bits?

The pc is a hp pavilion a706n and windows vista ultimate.

    Hello

You confuse the version of Windows with the hard drive.

A hard drive is a physical device for Windows (operating system)
are the programs installed. When the data is created and saved which are written in the
hard drive. A hard disk is analogous to a wardrobe as a storage device.

Hard drives are not little dependent, which means that you can run Windows 32 or 64 on them
If the rest of the system is compatible with every version.

Windows can be 32-bit or 64-bit. But not all hardware systems can run both.
Many 32-bit systems cannot run 64-bit Windows.

Your computer came with at least a possible hard disk to add possibly
    internally, and certainly outside.

    WiKi - hard disk drive
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive

As TrekDozer said that your computer cannot run as 64-bit Windows if you need to stay
with 32-bit Windows. However, you can add additional hard disks of extra disk space.

  • Portege R600-140: message says: device would work better with USB 2.0

    R600-140 win 7 prof
I plug in a device of capture usb video and a popup appears saying (roughly)

+ This device would work better with USB 2.0 - Click here for a list of usb ports.

I thought all the usb ports 2.
I just checked the drivers in the Panel, and I thought they are all up to date.

The laptop supports without a doubt USB 2.0 ports.
I guess that this message can appear for many reasons: for example the USB device malfunction.
Also the problem of USB port could be responsible for such error.

So as the first workaround I recommend you remove the USB hubs and controllers in the Device Manager list.
Open the Device Manager, look for the controllers and USB hubs and uninstall the driver.
    Reboot the laptop

Usually the system will begin to recognize USB devices.

Note: during this procedure, all external USB devices must be disconencted

  • Windows 7 will work on my Satelite U205-s5044?

I plan to install the Windows 7 operating system.
It will work on my satellite u205-s5044?

    Thank you

I think so. I mean why it should not work on your laptop satellite. The question is if your laptop model will be supported for Win7.
When Win7 supports begins to check the U.S. Toshiba support page to see if some drivers are available for your laptop model.
As far as I know for now, Toshiba WE offers a few BETA for Win7 drivers.

    Bama11, welcome to the forum.

After reviewing the specifications of the computer and the monitor, I see no reason why the monitor does not work very well.  I suggest to update the software and the driver to the latest version for the monitor and video card.  I have a suggestion, if you have not ordered the compupter buy 600W power supply (PSU).  It will be better food for the video card and the future updates.

I would be grateful is we would give you an update when you buy the computer.

  • HP pavilion p6777c: what upgrades would work better with my system

    Indy76, welcome to the forum.

The processor is good.  I do not recommend change.  You can add more memory.  This is recommended by Crucial memory memory .  In addition, if you want to increase the speed, a new SSD better.  The essential link, he recommends SSD.  The MX200, 250 GB, SSD for $99 would be very good.  There is a guide for upgrading to a 2.5 "SSD in to the lower left corner of the page.  You would need an adapter to install a 2.5 SSD "in a 3.5 drive Bay".  If Crucial recommends they guarantee that it will work.

If you upgrade the video card, you will also need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The most recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was the GT of the 640.  If you like the card, I recommend that you contact EVGA Tech Support (1-800-880-3842) in order to ensure that it will work on your computer.

I love Of the PSU from Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.  It would give you some excess power for maximum use.  The one in the link is modular.  It allows you to use only the necessary cables for a better air circulation.

  • HP Pavilion H8-1120: Radeon HD 6970 will work with my motherboard?

    Hello

I currently have a HP Pavilion desktop computer. The product is H8-1120, with model #QP771AA

My motherboard is Carmel2 (IPISB-CU), with an i7-2600, 350W electric chip and the video card Radeon HD 7570.

I wanted to play some of the newer games on the decent quality (usually, I would need to run on parameters below and even reduce the resolution, just to get 20 + FPS), and so I recently bought a new GTX 750TI graphics card to improve my computer with. But I had the same problem that everyone else did, where their HP Board would not accept the new card and nothing has helped my problem.

Now I'm back TI GTX750 and I am looking for a good upgrade from my current GPU, at a reasonable cost, and I absolutely want to know, 100% that I won't not motherboard compatibility issues with the new gpu.

I was looking at the graphics card Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6850 cards. Both are a little better than my other current graphics card, and I will also update the food too 550-600W.

No one knows for sure if I'll be able to run the HD 6970 graphics card on my motherboard, with a 600W POWER supply upgrade? I checked online and the Radeon Series 6000 was released to the year 2010, a year before my current BIOS (FRIEND 7.16 / 10/05/2011) was released. My BIOS will be able to work with this graphics card?

    Bozhidarc, welcome to the forum.

The reason why GTX 750 it won't work in your computer is to UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  I know the last video card that requires no UEFI EVGA's GTX 660.  Anything after this model requires UEFI.  The best thing to do is to find the card you like and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to ensure that it will work on your computer.

MSI is a GTX 750 Ti with a BIOS card hybrid switch that allows to work with a standard legacy BIOS or UEFI.  Yet once, however, I recommend to contact MSI to ensure it will work with your computer.  I heard some members who have managed to make it work with the BIOS of their inheritance.

  • What is the largest hard drive that will work in dv6324us laptop computer?

What is the largest hard drive that will work in a HP Pavilion dv6324us laptop?

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01035677.PDF

Support for HARD drives and capacities are listed in Chapter 3, page 3-25.

Personally, I think you could install a SATA II 320 GB to your laptop.  Maybe even a 500 GB.

You could also probably install a drive of 7 200 rpm for better performance or if the battery life between charges is more important for you, then stick with a disk of 5 400 rpm.

  • What Flash Speedlite will work with my Canon Rebel EOS T3 1100 D?

Hi, I'm new to the era of digital and older than 55 years.  My husband bought me a Canon Rebel EOS T3 1100 D in July.   (I fought the "technological" upgrade until my old film camera Canon quit on me).  I took pictures since 1966, so I'm not new to photograph, just for our technological advances.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me with which Flash Speedlite will work with my Canon Rebel T3 D 1100 camera specific.

I thank very you much for your time.

I just got my 430EX II that I bought for use with my Rebel T2i. The main reason I bought the Canon product was... using Canon products, I have never had a failure or a bad experience of 60 years. I use the LL 430EX for a few days and I'm very happy with the results. Much, much better than the built-in flash. It is on sale now with free shipping of Fed X. It is hard to beat.

Good luck with your new camera.

Nope the above are links are legit copies provided by microsoft, as long as you have a valid COA code they are fine.

Although sometimes (as in my case at least) you can have high phone microsoft, but this seems only to happen when the material changes, was easy enough to validate a copy real tho, if not a bit long winded.

Hello, I am wanting to update my graphics card as my current one is finally fall behind on current games, BF3 beta is a restless nighmare and BC2 must be smooth running low (ick). I was satisfied with the weaker graphics for now, but its time for an upgrade. In any case, I think I have my selected updates and I just want to confirm that they will work with my computer until I pull the trigger. My current equipment:

    8.00 GB RAM DDR3

    Vista 64-bit

Creative Sound Blaster X - Fi Audio Xrteme

I plan on upgrading the graphics card on an Asus NVIDEA GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi)

And the power of a passionate Corsair 850W 80 + CERT (I know this is perhaps an exaggeration, but I can update to motherboards in the future to run two SLI cards and do not want to upgrade again)

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=17-139-009&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&PUR...

I removed the side panel to check the dimensions of the new card and it looks like it fits. The only thing that could be a problem of release the cables SATA for the hard drive and hard drive because they are both plugged into the two slots, I don't think that the two superiors would be no problem at all. Depending on the thickness of the new card is also, it may be very close to the sound card that is spaced only a slit above the graphics card. I have another location available PCIe x 1 go back one level more that I should be able to plug the sound card in if there is no problem.

My question is that these two will be compatible with my system? (physical limitations side)

Also, can I change which SATA plug the hard drive and disc plug in, without having to reformat? Is it just unplug and plug in the new housing? (setting power off + unplugged of course) Basically passing SATA0 and SATA1, SATA2, and SATA3. Or do need to be filled in order? (0 then 1 then 2, etc...)

Finally, If I can't move the sound of a standard card, do I need to do anything other than the physically move when the computer is turned off and unplugged?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    John

    jkalbin,

You have thought through all scenerios. Move the sound card does not any problems. The hard drive should stay in header SATA 0.
