My system does not recognize the 'Magic wand' VuPoint portable scanner when connected to the USB port.
Jennifer has it worked fine from the start, or have you always had some problems with the connectivity?

I recently bought a Portable Scanner from VuPoint Magic Wand. I wish I could use my Photoshop program with these scans. I can locate the images, open them in Photoshop, make adjustments to them, but I can't figure out how and where to put them for export to a Web site. I have 58 years, and advancements in technology, left me a bit confused on what to do next. The SD card doesn't let me "Save" the changes to the image. So, how and where should I go from here?

Once your scans on your computer, you can run Photoshop, click on the word "File" on the top menu and mouse down to the word "Open". The open dialog box is displayed. In this dialog box, you can navigate to the location where you stored your scans (the library of images, for example). Once you have found it, click on one of your digital images and click on the 'Open' button in the open dialog box.
At this point, you can make adjustments in Photoshop as you want. When you are finished, click on the word "File" on the top menu and mouse down to the word "Save." You can save the modified image with the same name, or you can change the name.
One last thing: 58 is not old! ;-)

Cannot remove malicious software toolbars
My husband has foolishly agreed all downloads and now there malicious software toolbars. I tried everything I could find to remove them, but can't get rid of them. They don't show up under control panel - uninstall Firefox - Addons or Firefox - Extensions. I searched my hard drive for files that support pages told me to pick up, but none of them are there.
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Firefox 37.0.2. I tried:
1: execution of malware, viruses, spyware, adware programs etc. Nothing found. Here's what I ran:

SuperAntispyware Portable Scanner
Microsoft safety scanner
Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
AdwCleaner
SpyHunter
Hitman Pro2: I have reset firefox.
3: I ran Adblock, NoScript and started Firefox in Mode safe. No help.
4: I did a search here and did all the steps in each section. None of the permits.
I tried so many things that I can't even remember all. I've attached a screen capture, smart toolbars.
Can anyone help?
Hi, I see "clicks.beep etc." but is not a toolbar, it's a bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar. If you don't want - or other, just right click > delete.

Firefox freeze at the start, no error message
One minute to the next Firefox crashed. Whenever I opened it upward, it became unresponsive. Never an error message, just a pure gel. The CPU is not going into overdrive. I did a complete uninstall. Created a new profile. As soon as I closed my session, the problem persisted. Even in safe mode, the application crashes completely in 1-3 seconds.

After uninstalling firefox, I reinstall using the version 18.0. It installs without problem. Once installation is complete, a firefox window opens and works. I can do what I want. Once I quit firefox, each new instance that I open freezes:- Normal mode: Freezes when i click on the + sign for a new tab or click on the address bar or just wait a couple of seconds. - Safe mode: I try and open it up in safe mode, a window appears asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox. If i click on reset firefox, the window disappears, a firefox process in open (task manager) but no window opens. - Reset firefox. If I try and reset firefox, the window asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox. Upon clicking reset firefox, a new window opens warning me that doing so will delete ... when i click ok, the window closes, however the original window asking me if i want to open it in safe mode or reset firefox freezes.
(5) I ever get an error message. Where are they kept so that I can join them.
(6) I installed the recommended 'SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner Personal Edition' and ' user of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I left these travel at night and removed some threats. This solves the problem once I rebooted and reinstalled firefox. I hope it was the last time I have this problem again.
