  Blocks of database entries are by DBWR, not dedicated server process: so if a session database issues some write actions that they cannot be declared with corresponding wait events in the user database session, but you will see waiting for associated events to make journal entries because database session must either wait to VALIDATE the execution returns (redo written log is made by LGWR and not by dedicated server process) or the order of log file (also made by LGWR).

• 'For' the command line in the file Tab does not work in Task Scheduler

  I am able to do my work of script .bat with 'echo' and 'set' command in the file lines beats using raykor suggestion to put the .bat file in program/script and put the path in the field "start in". However, 'for' command line stops all other lines in order to run.  Please see the below script. Please help how to do the command line 'for' to work. I need to add the date and time for the name of the file/folder to keep track of a copy of the file on each day. This script works perfectly when I run a line by line at a time on the CMD command prompt. He copied the files and folders and gave me the date and time and concatenated to the name of the file/folder. The first 2 lines do not work. If I delete the first 2 lines, it works fine.

  I have a large amount of support .png files that have been placed on my C:\ drive, by some malicious programs or the system.  Whatever it is, I want to remove them because they take a disproportionate amount of space (about 25 GB to an indicative value).  They are in a sub-sub-sub etc directory and appear to be copies of random images as advertisements for computers, cars, soccer players and goodness knows what else, since every time I try to see, explore stops at halfway through, due to the large amount of files.

  So my question is: is there a way to delete these files without the help of Windows Explorer, for example by using a command line? or is there another utility of file management that I could use?

  I use a batch process to watermark all my images coming out on my site Web etc and social networks.

  I ran this process in PS CS6 and this would automatically save the files with predefined file (save as .jpg) as planned options. I would not intervene at all, just let it run in the background. However after the 2015.5 of CC PS, it is prompting me to "save under" after that each individual picture is a watermark. Is not really viable as I can sometimes be the treatment of hundreds of photos at once. I save the picture watermark to a new location and do not want to use the names of existing files, I do not know I do something wrong, but I don't particularly want to do a new action to save to a new location for each specific set of photo, I'll take. Any suggestions?

  Simply record the action for the watermark in your image with no. save step.  Then use the Image or the Image Processor plugin Pro processor script.  Set the script to save as many image files and file types that you need size and save where you want and have the script includes your action processing of image files from source to watermark your images...

  I created a folder level script that runs at startup of Acrobat. The script adds a menu item, that when clicked, calls another function.

  I wonder if I can create a batch sequence and add a menu item for that also? I mainly want to avoid going through the whole advanced-> processing statement->... Processing batch-> find the command sequence, and then click Run.

  I've seen a lot of examples for adding menu items that call the folder level scripts, but nothing about batch sequences. Has anyone already done this?

  You cannot create an element of a sequence of commands menu. Nearest you

  can get is to open the batch sequences window, using the execMenuItem()

  method and "BatchEdit" as the name of the command (I'm not sure that it is still

  the same in Acrobat X).

  I'm very new to Photoshop and have tried to do it myself for hours without result. What I'm in train/wanting to do is batch overlay a file of 700 + images on a single image of 260 x 300. The folder containing the photos I want to overlay contains 700 + images, all 251 266 x which must exactly match the empty/transparent space in the 'lid' and then saved in a different folder than the original images. This is the main 'background', followed by one of the images in the folder to 700 + images, and then finally I want the end result looks like. As is, I can do it with a single image but cannot for the life of figure me out how to batch all the images in the folder on the single "background."

  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. A script pre-made or a droplet would be also welcome.

  

  From what I understand, you need to make a copy of your file containing 700 + images.

  but the new folder should have the images ended with the image of cover ("in the background".

  To do this, you must create an Action.

  I know there are a lot of steps, but they are very easy to follow...

  Backup your original filesand work on a copy - just in case you replace the images by mistake.

  I recommend you print the steps to avoid unnecessary clicks in photoshop while trading

  between photoshop and your browser to see what's next on the list in step.

  Follow my steps carefully

  To create the Action that will do the task, follow the steps:

  1. open the image of the background (case)

  2. press on "Ctrl + A" (select the entire image of the background)

  3. press "Ctrl + C" (to copy it to the Clipboard)

  4. press "Ctrl + W" (to close the background image)

  5. open one of the 700 + images

  6 start recording of the Action (Palette Actions open by pressing "Alt + F9"-> Select 2' nd the right icon on the bottom of the range of the Action "New Action")

  7 name your action, and then click the Save"" button.

  8. now select the Photoshop main menu: Image-> canvas size

  9. Select "Parent".

  10. Enter '8' in the height box

  11 Select the "UP ARROW" in anchor

  12. click on 'OK '.

  13 image-> canvas size

  14. "next of kin" should be already selected

  15 field and enter "27" height

  16. Select the "arrow down" in anchor

  17. click on "OK".

  18 image-> canvas size

  19. "next of kin" should be already selected

  20 enter "9" in the width box

  21 select the "arrow pointing to the LEFT" at anchor

  22. click on 'OK '.

  23 hit: "Ctrl + V" (paste the contents of the Clipboard)

  32 file-> Automate-> batch (back to the main menu of Photoshop)

  33 select the name of the action you just created in the menu drop-down

  34. in Source, select 'folder '.

  35. click on the 'Choose' button and navigate to the folder where you store these 700 + images

  You will need to convert RAW to DNG for use in LR 5. Or you can go to LR 6. CameraRaw plugin is not relevant to LR. This is for Photoshop.

• SSD for the Scratch, Cache and swap file?

  Certainly, startup disk and RAID3 9-drive (7K 3000) the map of Areca-16. HDDs but... I was wondering, as I refine my construction, on the use of SSDS Strath, Cache and the pagefile.

  It seems to me that constant random access to these files (small for most), could be somewhat competing for overall throughput (they have been configured on the RAID3 alongside media and project). In an ideal configuration, it would be a practical or advantageous to have 2 x SATA3 SSDs RAID0 for Cache, the Scratch and the pagefile? (and whatever else reconstructible temporary structures). In addition, in order to move the traffic far form the Areaca PCIe lanes, would it be more effective to RAID0 on SATA3s to the mobo? What would be the ideal size for these disks (min and max)?  2 x 60GB would do? Or 2x120GB? More?

  I have also heard that, because of the nature of the scratch and cache, it would be better to have them on two separate drives? Or is it just an urban legend?

  Bays of drive and the system configuration questions are good, but if I or someone had to answer us would be influenced by our own test files, projects, we have worked on, controller CPU, RAM, the card (or the lack of) and much more.

  Given that what you're building has several similarities to mine, I'll share some of my own conclusions. To the topic specific answers like "how many disks in a RAID before it's inconsequential", it depends on so many things you should probably stop asking questions like this, because it may depend on certain things - CODEC, number of layers, transitions, filters, etc..

  Things I'll comment based on similarities between the system you are creating and mine (X 58, 6-core CPU, 24 GB of RAM, controller Areca w / large cache (2 GB or more)):

  1 move the pagefile seems really make a big difference on my system. So therefore, I keep in my table of OS/programs.

  2. faster I ran used two large paintings with the projects, the media and all the files "scratch" on a table and "hide media" and released on the second. While the difference was not huge, the fastest result for PPBM5 comparative analysis was achieved but put 'media cache DB' on my OS/programs, which use SSDS.

  So, how do proceed you?

  1. load your operating system and programs on your disk boot or start table.

  2. set up your Areca and drives in RAID 0, load some concrete projects similar to what you'll be using this system for, and test. Run PPBM5 too, it's a very useful common denominator that can be used to modify your own system and do it before / after comparison of the changes you are trying. IMO, a drive of 9 or 10 RAID 3 or 5 (or 6 besides) works well enough for everything. [Readers here who have a big RAID 0 out of their motherboard, I don't know if this is true for you or not, my test was done with all the great paintings hanging on a controller from Areca]

  3. for answering your question about "Hard drives how much you" on your own system and with your own projects, simply repeat step #2 using a small RAID 0 array. Latest Areca SAS RAID controllers so fast, that I would say that you can count on very similar performance with a RAID 0 array with one less than road when you build the dos system to desired PARITY RAID; with the exception of RAID 6, of course, who would actually perform '2 disks' more small.

  4 configure your final bar selected with parity, load your projects and you're done!

  Another way, you can go forward? (Less time, less optimized, version case potentially filled with several discs, heat and energy than the 'optimal' generation) Note that I tested with a few large RAID 0 arrays that will be in my final build, and I use these disks for the storage of off-site backup.

  1 build your big array with PARITY from the outset.

  2. start to use the system and if it works well for you, you are finished.

  As for RAID 3, 5, 30 and more, I use my table of data for editing more video, so go with RAID 5 was a simple choice for me. That being said, it seems to me that in my system (using a large cache ARECA controller and drives of 1 TB 7200 32 MB cache) a player "a less" RAID 0 seems to work only about the same as a RAID 5, so I don't think that the ineffectiveness of the RAID 5 or RAID 3 for large files (aka video editing) may be noticeable.
