Wait with microsecond resolution

Hello

I am currently using the LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM Microcontroller to implement a custom protocol of bit - hit so that my LM3S8962 Board can communicate with an audio module. However, I ran into a part of the Protocol where the program should pause for 100 milliseconds (100 US or 0.1 ms) before continuing. Is there a any function that will allow my program to wait this time? I don't think that waiting for 1 ms, the minimum possible time with the normal wait function, will work.

Thanks in advance,

Dylan

Dylan,

There is a clock 12 MHz on the ARM evaluation board, but we have access to the millisecond timer. I've seen a few attempts really hacky for the schedule of the microsecond, but it is not reliable. We seek to make it available in the future. After reviewing your request to you, I think that try the timer "millisecond" instead might work. Let us know if we can help your application from C works with your Audio Module. Thank you!

The camera is communicate with the Board of Directors NI PCIe-1433 in the PC with the camera link. This device can operate with a rate of 2000 frames per second. For the treatment of each image in the pc I need a time loop that work with microseconds. The problem is that this time loop only works with MS Windows. If I use the real time module, can I configure this time looping with microsecond or is there another solution?

    Thank you

    Hi xisco,.

with LabVIEW Realtime, you could create a loop with the order of a microsecond wait States.

    BUT:

Why do you think you have need of these wait States? What is the purpose of these expectations?

on the other hand, when I start a game I have only the choice between these two resolution: 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768...

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I put t know what games you want to play, but generally speaking, it of also depending on the game you can use screen resolutions. For example if your game supports only 2 screen resolutions, you can only use these resolutions.

So all you can do is update the driver DirectX and display. Then, look for an update (patch) for the game.

    Good luck! :)

  • m8120n with a resolution of Dell U2711 Max

I bought a Dell U2711, tested the monitor on another system with success and get a maximum resolution of 2560 x 11440.  When plugged up to the HP with a Dual Link DVI cable, somehow I can't get 1600 x 1050.  When hooked up via a VGA cable I get 2048 x 1152.  I contacted Dell, reduced to HP itself (not much help from Dell if they tried).  I've updated the drivers for the monitor and the graphics card, Geforce 7350, nothing does.

(Ah, FYI, I searched the forum, found nothing on this subject, my warranty is also up.)

From another thread, it's because of the card ATI 6570, set up with an Nvidia GT 430 has solved the problem.  Don't know if this applies to me since for some reason any VGA got better resolution, as well as the HDMI Jack.  (Oh yes, I also tested the cables on another system, works very well it)

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Media Center m8120n desktop. According to the specifications, the computer came from the factory

    GeForce 7350LE

1 - DVI (and VGA with included adapter)
2 S-video (and video Composite using adapter SV-CV)
    Interface: PCI Express x 16
    Maximum resolution:
DVI (single bond capable): 1920 x 1440 @ 60 Hz with reduced shutter
    TV (S-video or Composite video): 1024 x 768 interlaced

As stated in the specs, DVI is a unique link with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 max. It's not affecting your monitor, but 1600 x 1050 is perhaps the best compromise between the two. Please install a new graphics capable DVI (DL) double bond to support higher screen resolutions.

  • Tecra S10: undefined screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800

    Hi all,

I have a strange problem with the resolution of my Tecra S10.

    My system:

    * Windows Vista, later lowered to Windows XP SP3 with the last update
    * Latest Toshiba nvidia drivers

My default resolution is 1680 x 1050 initially and the display is sharp and perfect proportional to the screen (15.4 ", 16Million color), even if the icons are quite small.

I changed my resolution of 1280 x 800 using the steps described in the user manual. But the screen is fuzzy and ill-defined.
According to the manual of Toshiba (Tecra S10 Satellite Pro S300) my NVidia video card supports the resolution of 1280 x 800 WXGA mode.

How can I put mode WXGA?

I appreciate all suggestions that solves the problem.

    Best regards
    Biagio

    Hello

To be honest you write on this is certainly not a problem but something usual for views. The display will be sharp and perfect when you set the view to the native resolution only.
If you choose some other low or high resolution the illustrious office will be either too big (does not fit in the display) or will be blurred.

The same situation is on my Tecra M1. Test it on all laptops, and the situation will be the same. I'm now working on Satellite P200 with 17 inch screen. For this display's native resolution is 1440 x 900.
When I reduce the resolution the office is always fuzzy and ill-defined.

  • Satellite of swapping screen LCD L850-150 to another with more resolution?

    Hello

I am owner of a Toshiba L850-150, with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 and I want to know if it is possible to change the Lcd display to another with more resolution, say a panel that is capable of displaying a resolution of full HD 1920 * 1080.

I think that the graphics card has enough power to deal with. (No pun intended)

    Hello

Graphics chip is able to handle a higher resolution, and I think it should be possible to change the LCD screen.
You certainly need a 15.6 LCD.

But the new LCD isn't cheap part I mean isn t better buy an external monitor and connect the laptop to the such full HD screen?

  • layout with different resolutions

    Hello and Hello!

Once more I need some advice:

I have a program that is running on different machines with different resolutions.

Is it possible to avoid, that the provision is paning all around?

    Best regards

    Hilby

    Hi Hilby,

No.... This is currently a limitation of the layout, where we try to adapt to each screen, but objects and the page layout is not appropriate in different proportions with a different number of pixels.

The aspect ratio is the most important, followed by the total of the resolution of the screen.

Additional information about elongation are below.

In summary, DASYLab is unable to completely adapt the layout "Screen" for the size of each screen and resolution. If you want to have a fixed provision which is not completely in some monitors, then consider using a size fixed, such as A4 or A3.

If you do something on a large monitor, 1600 x 1200, for example, and move it to a screen wide monitor, 1600 x 900.

    Of my friends on Wikipedia

With computer screens, wider than 4:3 aspect ratios are also known as widescreen. Computer monitors widescreen previously generally 16:10 aspect ratio, now they are moving in 16:9.

Until the about 2003, most computer monitors had a 4:3 aspect ratio and some had 5:4. Between 2003 and 2006, monitors with 16:9 and especially 16:10 aspect ratios (8:5) became commonly available

  • Problem with the resolution when you connect to a projector

I regularly used my laptop connected to a projector via a cable VGA for PowerPoint and video clips view in Windows Media Player.   It is automatically detected and adjusted for different sizes of screen of the laptop screen (1366 x 768) and projector (1024 x 768) and projected with success.   Recently I connected the laptop to a second monitor - also 1024 x 768 - instead, and even once, it fits perfectly.

It suddenly stopped setting for the resolution of the projector; When I go to the resolution of the screen, the option to set the resolution of the second screen is grayed out.   No matter if I use extend or duplicate, he insists that the two screens are 1366 x 768.   This has happened with two projectors, all two used to work properly.   I also tried different VGA cables.  The end result is that the image of the projector is hurry to tray.

I can connect fine to the second monitor via the VGA port and sometimes with different resolutions for both screens.   I can also connect to a TV via an HDMI cable.   I can't try a HDMI cable for the spotlight as it is ceiling mounted, and the other is old and is not an HDMI connection.

I checked the drivers and they seem to be up to date.

My laptop is a Dell Latitude running Windows 7.   The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics 3000.   I tried many suggestions already given on these forums without success.   The real puzzle is that it was working fine and nothing I can draw has changed except that I connected on the other monitor.

    Hi Tony,.

Thanks for the reply with the status of the issue. I'm sorry to know that the issue is still unresolved, your efforts to solve this problem are much appreciated.

I suggest to follow the method below and check if that helps:

    2. type device manager in the start search box.

    3. Select Device Manager in the search result.

4 uninstall everything that are grey also uninstall the drivers to display completely.
5 restart the computer and install the drivers to view the manufacturer's Web site.

Hope this information helps, just reply to the State of the question to get help.

    Hi Rizwan

Unfortunately, I do not have a restore point old enough until the problem occurred.   I have not found any that was relevant in hidden devices, but in normal Device Manager mode when I clicked on "monitor" it opened a "Generic PnP" entry even when there was no extra monitor or projector fixed.   When an additional monitor has been attached, there were two of these entries.   I disabled them both, and I found that I can now adjust the resolution of a second monitor to a different setting of the laptop screen.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Videos with a resolution of portrait (1280 x 720) play with a black screen, audio is heard, in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7

    Hello

I noticed that the video playback for videos (with a resolution of portrait, specifically 720 x 1280, appear black with audio being heard in Windows Media Player 12 (WMP 12) on Windows 7.  A Playbook has been used to capture video to the resolution of portrait.  I also noticed that if the Playbook capture resolution 1280 x 720 of the landscape, the video plays fine in WMP 12, so I know it is not a Codec problem and seems to be related to the dimensions of the video picture.

The same portrait videos can be read normally with VLC and other video player applications.  Is this a known problem or limitation with WMP 12 on Windows 7?

    Thank you

    RS

P.S. as an aside, Playbook captures video in MPEG-4 AVC video Codec and Audio MPEG-1 layer 2 Audio Codec format.

    Hello Rami,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community.

I understand that whenever you play a video (720 x 1280) Portrait format, it shows a black screen.

To resolve this problem, we need to do some diagnosis so I would say that you check out the link and follow the steps.
