• Dreamweaver mx 2004 license transfer connection error

  I'm trying to transfer my software to dreamweaver mx 2004 from an old computer to a less old computer.  I've done it before.  You come to transfer the license from the old computer and reactivate on the new computer.  However, when I try to transfer the license on the old computer, dreamweaver gives me an error page telling me that there is a problem with the license of macromedia server and suggested that I call a phone number.  This phone number no longer works.  so I contacted adobe via chat to get help manually transfer the license and said they no longer support this verson on dreamweaver on their live chat and I needed to get help through this forum.  I know the software is 10 years old, but it is paid for and I need to transfer it to another computer.  what I can do, or who should I contact to get there?

  Hi all

  I just installed wamp and created a database for my PHP site to connect to, I added a password for the root user, so to fix while I work on it and I put my site to the top and the test server in dreamweaver

  When I try to connect the database of Dreamweaver CC I open Control Panel database and everything appears as checked (PHP files will appear very well when I test them), I then click to add the database and complete the connection sql as well:

  Login name: Testingserver

  MYSQL server: http://localhost/

  User name: root

  Password: Pa55word269

  then I try to select the database and I get the following error;

  HTTP 404 File not found error code. Here are a few possible reasons for the problem:

  (1) there is no server running on the server test.

  2) the test specified for this site server is not mapped with the _ http://localhost/testsite/, mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL. Make sure that the URL prefix is the root of the site.

  I looked on the test server and I don't seem to have the MMHTTPDB file.

  Please someone tell me how to solve this problem until it became a night of Whisky instead of wine

  OK found the problem and fixed,

  the main problem is that the two files must be on the server are no longer included in the default installation so you have to manually enter and place them on the server and it works first time

  If you ask, MAMP use 8888 for Apache http and 8889 for mysql. I can change these for 80 and 3306 by default (and write only 'localhost'), but I have the same problem. Infact if dreamweaver did not find a connection message speaks of a 404 error, so I don't think that the problem is on the configuration of the port.

  In another post, I found on the internet about this, someone said that it is a problem between different versions of php or mysql in dreamweaver and MAMP. But I have the same problem on windows with XAMPP.

  This PHP: mysql_pconnect - manual should answer your question.

  In case you do not understand, the said function is not valid for PHP version 7. If you install PHP version 5.4, you won't a problem except on the track when PHP7 becomes public.

• Why Dreamweaver cannot connect to my remote server - I use ftp.

  I made changes to my site (I am a user of type copy / paste, without a lot of knowledge... but enough to get what I need).  I use a Mac and I have Dreamweaver CS6.   I downloaded a few pages of changes successfully.  Then, I tried to download the next page and received the message that Dreamweaver could not connect to server - with a list of possibilities of why I couldn't.  I had the help of my website host support team and they have been able to connect to my ftp server.  I was also able to connect by typing in ftp.website in Safari - however Dreamweaver does not connect.  I went through all the troubleshooting tips, which were extremely easy to follow and I have upgraded to Dreamweaver.  I can not connect.  Anyone had this problem before.  I'd appreciate some advice.

  The time I saw is that the username and/or the password is not correct. I recently had just the same problem and I didn't have my correct password. Get with your hosting provider and check (types each on independent) these two. I have big fingers.

  You just go to Site > new Site and navigate to your local folder existing for the field "Local root folder", then add the second set of FTP info.

  I'm relatively new to mysql and its connection in particular to my dreamweaver by coding php site - I managed to get everything working on things like login script and product descriptions and details, but trying to pull in the binary BLOB fields to display images related to certain products came to a wall.

  I have seen tutorials by David Powers on the books section of recipes from this site I really want to adopt in my site, but can not create recordsets to work because I can not connect my dreamweaver for the correct database site. I can retrieve the information properly in line (except for photos) and don't know where I'm wrong in dreamweaver to establish a working connection.

  As I can't get a db connection works, I can't a Recordset working properly. I entered:

  MySQL server: localhost

  Username: web118-xxxxxx (my hosting is done through internet in the United Kingdom which provide phpmyadmin, etc. required of heart)

  Password: xxxxxxx

  Database: web18-xxxxxx

  Whenever I have try the test or search the database, neither get MYSQL Error 1045 saying access denied (using password: YES) despite the fields being entered correctly, or I get an error 404 not found record of localhost.

  Can anyone help! ? Even if a simple explanation of how set up a connection to a database work. I searched the forums online and help adobe, but all what I'm actually seems to result in exactly the same mistakes.

  In addition, if the problem of Recordset will not be possible to fix it, I managed to pull a BLOB of mysql in a php page, but when I try and add something on the page, or wrap the returned image is holder of a picture or a table, looking at the Webcam live image Web page disappears and is replaced by a very small blue box with a question mark white in it.   I know how to connect to a MySql database in Dreamweaver CS3 using the MySql connection string server behavior. However, I now need to connect to a database on port 3307 and I've never done this before. Is it possible to manually change the php file in the Connections folder to achieve? I tried to simply change the variable hostname to "myhost.com:3307" but that doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty inexperienced at PHP. Thanks for any direction I can get. Here is my sample code:

  The default MySQL port is 3306. To connect on any other port, you simply add a colon followed of the port like this number:

  localhost:3307
  

  If the MySQL server is on myhost.com, the correct format is

  myhost.com:3307
  

  If you can't connect, it's probably because the host has blocked remote connections to MySQL. Without knowing more about your configuration, it is impossible to give advice.

  I have Wamp installation on my computer to test a database work, that I do.
  
  I was able to connect to databases on my hosting service but need to do some tests locally.
  
  Through many WAMP forum post, I have no chance to know why I can't connect to my server if Dreamweaver to my database.
  
  I followed all the instructions, I think, but I must be missing something.
  
  Config:
  I Mcfee (bummer I know) with firewall, but he says he gives full access to WAMP. I even turned off and tried.
  
  I don't have Skype or IIS running or installed.
  I've only installed apache once I can tell.
  I have install 'root' password and name.
  I've built my directory of databases www.
  All services run in WAMP.

  I thought about it.

  I checked the Apache error log and saw that he was looking for _mmServerScripts.

  The file for my site was deep in the www (number of files sup). I moved it to the top so that apache could find the _mmServerScripts and bingo I'm Golden.

  Dreamweaver is a front-end development tool. Databases and processing of forms are back-end development. You can certainly use DW as your environment to work with backend scripts, but it is relatively unimportant to the main development workflow.
