Want to 6 1010sv: Intel rapid storage 10 Windows software/driver

Hello everyone!

I noticed that Intel Rapid Storage process (32 bit) crazy sometimes, consuming a lot of CPU and RAM. In addition the control application storage quick, accessible via the Control Panel does not start. I would like to reinstall the drivers.

Do you know the correct driver win10?

Is there an official driver of HP? HP has failed so far nothing on the section of the driver.

That's all for now.

Thank you!!!

Hello!

After experimentation and testing, I think I found the solution.  Install the latest driver from here . It is the latest version of the Intel RST pilot. It will also update the drivers in Device Manager. Just make sure that your computer uses the technology of fast storage.

Unfortunately, I found an official driver of HP...

Before installing, enter the BIOS and check if your SMART response and RST settings are enabled.

  • Area 51 R2 - controller Dual HDD - Intel Rapid Storage questions

I have here a system of area 51 R2 (new). After power on, I went to check the options available in the bios. I was surprised to see that there is no way to change the way Intel SATA AHCI/RAID controller that I found bizarre. After installing the OS on the SSD while keeping the HARD disk as a data disk, I noticed that the system comes with 2 different controllers.

The first, running in AHCI mode, is an Intel C600 + / C220 + party controller, while the secondary is a onboard Intel RAID controller mode normal (can not get the exact chip). It seems that the STRANGE and the two SSD 2.5 "put in place (SATA4 and SATA5) are plugged into the controller AHCI while the other 3 3.5" HDDs (SATA1, SATA2, SATA3) slots connectors are all on the SATA RAID controller.

While this will create a RAID with any installed HARD or SSD installed in slots 3.5 "drive, you cannot create a RAID of 2 2.5" SSD or HARD drive using their location designed in the case. And if you want to create an SSD RAID, you need to get your readers to a location 3.5 "using 2.5" to 3.5 "adapter.

    FIRST QUESTION:
-Why are there 2 different controllers instead of using only one? Why not as another system, use a simple controller 6 SATA3 ports. If it is of split the possible performance for the SSD's in RAID AHCI mode on hard drives, which almost locks to make an SSD RAID by using the default locations. I know you can just reroute/reconnect the SATA connectors to make it fit, but it's just extra Needless to work on the system.

    SECOND QUESTION:
-Why we cannot change or the other controllers in the bios mode? What happens if I want to have 2 x SSD in RAID mode for my games while having 2 x HDD also in RAID for my OS? I can't because everything is divided into 3 / 3 for ports and no way to make 2 different RAID systems unless I have buy a 3rd party RAID PCI-e card and use instead.

Now, here's something else, I discovered. Both controllers have need for different type of Intel Rapid Storage has to be installed, but you can not get either to work along with the other application. The C600 + / C220 + controller requires Intel Rapid Storage Company install the driver 'correct' and the application will run only if you disable the RAID controller. You will see that the STRANGE and the two SSD connected using the application. If you re-enable the RAID controller, the application will give and error and will refuse to start.

The RAID controller on the other side requires normal Intel Rapid Storage install the driver and application. The application will run only if the driver generic windows is installed for the AHCI controller or is installed when you install the Intel Chipset inf utility (showing C610 / X 99 AHCI controller). The application will launch and show all 3 of the hard disks connected to the RAID controller. It will crash if you try to run it when the driver IWH suitable for the installed AHCI controller.

What is the idea behind this? This whole business of 2 controller, you cannot change the AHCI/RAID mode on either and only 3 ports for each controller. In addition both controlled by different versions of Intel Rapid Storage and you can not have both installed at the same time so you have to use generic on one or the other drivers if you want to use them. Looks like this last generation of Alienware were not really thought to become with the creation of the weird storage options (which includes the option WITHOUT RAID for R2 of Alienware systems 15/17) which locks the user away from opportunities that other less expensive systems (XPS/optiplex) have at the base!

It's really disappointing. I have a R4 M17x at home (which was 3D until the video card update) and I'm still in love with this laptop, but I continue to be discouraged in buying any of the new States with all these weird things being disabled or locked down the value of the systems.

You will probably get a better response if you re - post it in the forum of the Club of Alienware .

    Keep it short and simple.

A couple of weeks ago, I replaced the hard drive in my laptop Pavilion dm4-3090se with a 240 GB Samsung SSD (the laptop came with a 500 GB Hybrid HDD which is now my backup).

Everything works fine, except when I first put it in, I get the screen shown in the image below and it takes a good 5 or 6 seconds before it closes and opens Windows. How can I make this screen go away?

You are running Windows 7 or Windows 8? I see that you still have the installed cache acceleration mSATA 32 gig drive and it has the Intel Rapid Storage, just off acceleration partition. Can you find the control panel Intel Rapid Storage and reformatting the drive to 32 gig Accelerator? It will look something like this:

I suggest also just remove acceleration 32 gig of hard drive. You have really no more. You can not acclerate a SSD and shouldn't do anyway since having a main SSD is still faster than having the accelerator. See page 44 of the Manual:

I had a virus on my computer. am at Best Buy and stares at me I got a new Antivirus program and a lot of things when changed when I get back to my computer. And this program has been one. Someone has an answer. The antivirus program is Kaspersky Internet Security.

This is a feature of the application provided by Intel to improve the functionality of the Intel SATA chipset and add additional features.

It is not the real chipset drivers and is not required for Windows work. If the computer uses individual drives standard configuration, it actually serves little purpose other than to provide a disk interface analysis.

  • Intel Rapid Storage driver

I have two desktops Dell XPS 8700. They are both about a year. A few days ago I installed the update of anniversary of 10 windows on two of them. That seemed to go OK. I used the two pcs for a little while, after the update is complete. When I stopped the first machine, there was already an update. I chose the update and close. The next day, I was on the other pc, and after I used it for a few hours, suddenly a program does not open. I finally restarted and I might have expected, there was an update being installed. (I had this same senario happens sometimes so I wan't surprised, that is to say, things quite normally, then you will find Microsoft has eliminated a update requires a reboot, but does not tell you.) But then the trouble started. The update takes a long time and then came the login screen, but every time I tried to enter my password, the screen would freeze and it will re-start. After 5 repetitions of this, I got a black screen that says from ASR and then it went to a blue screen that says that WRkrn.sys is damaged or missing and I need a disc or a system administrator. I couldn't remember if I had created a recovery disc or where I had put. I ran to the other computer to create one, but when I started it up, exactly the same thing happened. I called Microsoft and they wanted me to them starts in safe mode, but I couldn't. Then, they had me create an ISO image. I'm sure it was the last version. I tried to repair, System Restore, etc, but nothing worked. So I got finally from a Macrium backup. But now I'm afraid of any update from Microsoft.

I watched this show on the web and some have said that the Intel rapid storage driver update fixed that problem for them. So I wonder if I should update this driver before that Microsoft is trying to push it on me once again. But how to find the right driver for my system. I searched Dell and I found one that is a 32-bit driver. He said that it also works on 64 bit systems. But is there a 64-bit driver.

How can I find what other drivers are available for my system? I have to enter my service tag?

Honestly, I got no problem with every machine since I bought it and I hate to fix it if it ain't broke.

Been a number of probs with recent updates MS causing problems like yours...

You can always go to the Intel download site and enter their driver update scanner. It will review your material and recommend the updated drivers.

    Hello

I recently bought a HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe desktop computer, during a performance of the construction in the auditor of updates to HP program that it is announcing the following update available for my machine and I was wondering if there were more details about what he actually did and/or updates/patches?

    Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

    Description
This package provides the driver for Intel Chipset SATA RAID solutions and SATA AHCI Controller in models supported that are running a supported operating system.

As you can see the description of correction and improvement really provided no details as to what is fixed or improved.

If I need to apply this patch, it would be nice to understand a little better what to expect and what is fixed and/or improvements.  You have to forgive me because I'm old school and I usually generally follow the routine "if it ain't broke don't fix it".  I'll do what it takes well so I have a better understanding of what is going to happen in the case where updating mess something inadvertently.

    Hello:

What is the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology software.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/chipsets/IMSM/sb/CS-020784.htm

It is not necessary to install the update if you do not want.

I doubt you will notice a difference in performance if you have it installed.

It is unlikely that all the problems would result in the update (however could apply Murphy's law), but like you said... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

  • RAID 1 active but Intel Rapid Storage doesn't?

    Hello

    Have a new Dell XPS8700, 4th gen i7. The motherboard is Intel 8 series C220 - Z87

I have a 1 TB Seagate drive which has Windows 8 on it and WD two hard drives of 2 TB. I formatted the two WDs and selected the RAID in the BIOS. I chose the HDs of WD to create a RAID 1 array with CTRL + I. Windows 8 does not recognize, I went to disk management, and create a simple volume. The volume has been formatted (not quick format) and now it shows as healthy Partition. I guess that it is ready to use, because Windows Explorer now shows as a HD 2 TB in size.

My question is, keeps Intel Rapid Storage, arise the "you may have a problem with your hardware" I go take a look, and the only readers who are are the original system 1 TB drive and the DVD drive. No sign of the RAID 1 volume I hit refresh, but it does not appear. I'm going to report and HDs system all appear. What do you think is happening? How can I have Rapid Storage show the RAID volumes? Thank you in advance.

I could make this work. The only way I could do work needed to install an another HD 1 TB I had in hand, select RAID in the BIOS, do a quick CTRL + I and create a volume with two 1 TB disks. This erased Windows and data on both drives (contrary to what said the Dell technician). Had to reinstall Windows on this volume. Once done, TSRI saw volume.

Then I reentered the TSRI (without needing to restart or to deal with the BIOS and CTRL + I) and created another volume w / two 2 TB disks - this time, he actually asked if I wanted to keep the data on one of the disks. This would have useful had I not as well data reformatted all 2 TB disks in trying to configure raid earlier. I have backups on the third HD but it would have saved a lot of time if I had not gone through the previous steps and did not remove everything on these two discs.

I know that's not logical, but the Dell representative was probably right, for some reason, the system does not allow only a single Windows system drive and a RAID 1 with two drives. What I did above was a work around, but it should work fine. I now mirror both the system's hard drive and hard drive data.

  • Cannot install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology

    Hi all
I'm having a problem with technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I will describe my problem briefly at the outset.
    Here's my problem:
I have a Dell inspiron 14z 5423 model ultrabook with Windows 7 Home Premium. He was fine, when suddenly the system crashed . Whenever I started it, a blue screen flashes and restarted. I tried everything to keep it. I have googeld for each solution, but could not repair it. Unfortunately, I have expense installing the operating system. And other MISFORTUNE, I only tried to format and delete the C: drive (C: drive was approximately 250 GB and removed to create other partitions of it) but my ENTIRE score got DELETED and MERGED into a single Partition. Fortunately, I managed to recover my data very Important. (End of part 1)

Now, later, I installed Win 7 Professional.
Previously, he had installed TSRI and seems to work correctly. Now, I try to install TSRI in my ultrabook but could not do so. Without knowing it, I installed the operating system with the SATA Mode: AHCI instead of Intel Smart... (RAID). Now when I try to change SATA RAID BSOD mode flashes then restarts. I also tried the following technique:
    http://www.overclock.NET/t/1227636/how-to-change-SATA-m...
    But can't make it work.
I want to install SORTS on my ultrabook and do not want to reinstall win 7 in RAID mode for this.
Please help me with this problem.

    Hi Christophe,

As the report makes clear that the Intel rapid driver is the root cause of the
question, we can try to run restore the system to an earlier point to cancel the update of starting on the recovery Partition.

You can see the Sony guide learn more about the problems of system recovery:

    http://community.Sony.com/T5/Windows-8/Windows-8-upgrade-Troubleshooting-FAQ/TD-p/41893

To go in safe mode since the Partition configured recovery on your computer, you can
    Follow the instructions below.

Once you are on the recovery Partition, you will be asked to press any key to load sound
content, to do. First, you will need to select your keyboard type. Press the page layout you want to use. If you want to browse the available options, press 'see more keyboard
    layouts'
until you find the one you want to use.

Windows asks you to choose an option. Press help.

In solving problems screen, tap Advanced.

In the Advanced options screen, tap Start parameters.

You are informed that you are about to restart to change several options of Windows, including activation of the Secure Mode. Press restart.

Your computer or your device restarts again and displays nine startup settings, including Safe Mode, Safe Mode with network and Safe Mode with command prompt

Press F4 on your keyboard, to turn on Safe Mode, F5 to activate Safe Mode with network and F6 activate Safe Mode with command prompt. Windows 8 and Windows boot 8.1 now depending on the setting you have selected.

It will be useful. Please let us know in case you need more information on issues related to Windows.

  • Tecra Z50 - A - Intel Rapid Storage Technology does not

    Dear Sir

We bought a lot of laptops Toshiba Tecra Z50 - A with a hybrid HDD (with SSD cache).

    The exact model:
    TECRA Z50 - A
    PT544E-00D01TBT

We staged and repartition laptops via SCCM.
However, when you install all the drivers and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software, I see that only rge WHAT HDD is used and no partition SSD with the Intel RST.

    How we enable this?
The problem is that the performance is incredibly bad.
Laptops are very slow, even if the specifications are good:
    CPU i5-4200U
    8 GB RAM
    Windows 7 x 64

No idea how to turn this Intel RST?
In the BIOS I find no option for RAID, as must be enabled for the RST to work.

    Thank you

To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly the RAID mode. There is no RAID mode.
The laptop was equipped with a 500 GB SATA HDD HYBRID.

The part of the HARD drive is used for writing, the SSD part for the reading of the data.
The performance of SSHD can be placed between a HDD and SSD, but it s significantly slower than an SSD.

If you have already installed the - Intel Rapid Storage Manager driver, then the service should work

In the case where it does not run in the background, try to install the latest Intel RST page of Intel driver.

  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology and envy 700-330qe

I'm a new 700-330qe CTO. Include updates of driver on the hp support is for technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I first thought it was a driver of hardware like my former lodge (he had a card Intel Matrix Storage Manager who managed the RAID 0, 1 or 0 + 1).  Now I see that it is a software emulation of RAID. Nowhere in the documentation supplied with the machine is there any mention of the capacity of this machine to run any form of RAID. I have two HARD drives, and they are the same size, so, theoretically, that I could run RAID 0 or 1, if I so wish, but is nowhere mention of a way to do it. I see the BIOS must be configured to run RAID.

I'm NO expert. I was wondering where I can find more on how to set up a RAID machine. So far, I still didn't look in the BIOS (not even sure how to do this, while some of you think I'm stupid). I guess I get a little twisted shape when a product has features that should be out in the open but seem to be hidden. Any help would be appreciated to reallyhl.

    Hello

You can use the TSRI for caching, but you must first disable ExpressCache to run.  If you buy a longer MSATA card of 64 GB (128 GB) then the remaining space can serve as a data storage area.

  • No command in Intel Rapid Storage after the reset of a device of available Cache

There are in my book of 15-4010nr XT the spectrum of the HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 1 HDD and 1 SSD (30 GB).

The SSD was initially used for acceleration in Intel Rapid Storage.

But I zero it available in Intel Rapid Storage and now I can not "activate the acceleration' even once, because there is no such a command in the interface of the program - it only shows the disk information in the 'status' and 'Manage', but no orders at all (except Acivate LED). How to help?

    Hi Alice-Wonder,

Thank you for your request, I will do my best to help!

I understand that after changing the SSD for available in the Intel Rapid Storage, you are no longer able to activate the acceleration once again, since the command is no longer available. State Manange without any option of the command.

I suggest you do a restore back before making this change. Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

If that did not help, I would do a factory recovery.  Performing a recovery system (Windows 8) HP.

During the recovery process, you will receive a prompt to back up your data to avoid loss. If you did not recently, I suggest do you it now.

Restoring files that were supported by using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8) upward.

    Good luck!
