  Generally, I prefer Intel based computers, but in this case based on the specifications you cite, the AMD model has better video and would be better for the games.

  I'm not even to try to predict the service life of each model, because it depends of so many variables. Laptops now becomes obsolete in 3-5 years anyway even if they could last longer.

  and I wonder if it's worth the purchase and construction of a new, intel Core i7 - 920 system. I know the top end, 970 would be better, but I don't want to drop $1 k on a processor - 920 is what I am looking at.

  I would like to know (users who have used, or who are familiar with both platforms) which powerful system with the Adobe production suite and if it is worth the investment to move from AMD to Intel.   I can't speak for the first. For AE, perhaps is it marginal compared to the number of physical cores.   In AE, OpenGL previews are designed to provide a smoother and more responsive experience when it interacts with the application. It won't help with rendering in most of the time. Support for high level of consumption of range card should be good. No need to sell the House for one of the models at the pro level. Keep an eye to the list of card/driver combinations officially supported.

  I am a novice user of Labview, but I went through essentially through the 6 hours on Web site tutorial for NOR and that I'm currently going through the massive list of examples included in Labview. I heard the two Labview for everyone and learning with Labview recommended texts. I'd rather pay one, unless I really should bring both eventually. Thoughts and opinions by comparing the two?

  The two books are very good.  If your just starting, go to Amazon, buy a copy used learning with LabView 8 or 9.  I got mine for $18 shipped.  You can download all the vi.  Can also buy LabView for everyone $61.  LabView for everyone covers almost everything on LabView and brings you to some more advanced things, but learning with LabView has been better for basic stuff.

  I recently bought Pavilion DV7 with Quad processor i7, 8 GB ram and ATI 7690 m XT (2 GB) GPU (with swichable GPU Intel)

  On paper, it takes a monster (better than AlienWare) game machine but the GPU is slowed down by the other Jurassic GPU software support old Catalyst software.

  The catalyst used for this particular GPU is the catalyst for 2010 (which was fundamentally changed to support the new graphics)

  ATI mentions even this new 7690 m XT on their website alone while a real up - driver support date. !!!

  The 7690 m XT should have no problem to start Batman Arkham Asylum or City™ but it doesn't...

  It behaves like my old Toshiba with Nvidia GT330M graphics processor... (what is shameful)

  Ideas or the rummors of HP in fact ask ATI to provide new drivers? or are we stuck with 1000eur machine with graphics driver 3 years?

  I need some serious help please someone... I get a message that Windows File Protection is! and he says that "files which are required for Windows to run properly must be copied into the DLL cache" that I know, but I do not know why this has happened... I think it happened because of an update which took place about 2 days ago cause that is when it started, but I've tried all t0 get rid of it. I tried to disable using "regedit" in the run screen and it did not help... I need help with fixing this. I don't have my copy of Windows XP Professional Moose because this Pc is old, and I just kept to upgrade. Can someone guide me please in the right direction and the easiest that I'd appreciate it, thanks Chris!

  Thanks to all who tried to help, it means a lot!  I have no idea what happens but I tried to run a complete scan with antivirus program McAfee I was BTW it was free because of the internet service gave to me to be a customer with them, (I guess they have an ongoing case) not much of a cause I had nothing else problems with McAfee all for about 5 years and they are so much better programs out there (to new my opinion) but on with my story so whenever I tried to run a full scan or fast he rode every time error cannot start scan try again and so on, so I called them and they could not understand what the problem was and finally reinstalled but it doesn't work and of course they wanted me to buy a version... So I said forget it and went with one of the best Antivirus out there (my opinion only) programs free and it scanned and found some articles ad and he never came back! So I'm lucky so far and happy! Once again thanks to Jose @ and @ John for help and getting back to me, that shows the high level of awareness and dedication... So thank you to you two! I have no idea of what the problem was I think that he had with the Ad-ware and anti virus program does not properly and somehow obtained a "bug" If you want to.   Recently, I switched from PC to Mac, and I have a program from my PC (Quick Books) I want to be able to turn on my Mac.  I am considering the merger of 6 to do this, but I have a few questions before I dive.

  1. I have a xp sp2 installation disc.  I read in the documentation of Fusion 6 it supports xp sp3.  Can I create a virtual machine using my drive?  If not, is there a workaround? Yes, I have a certificate of authenticity.

  2. my PC has xp sp3 installed so I guess that I would be able to migrate, but I wish that all the operating system and the QB without all the other applications and files that are installed on the machine.  Is this possible?  And if so, how buggy would?  I'd be better off buying a new copy of windows to

  I work in Discoverer 10 g 2 and 10 gr 2 Oracle database.
  I developed a few business sectors and handed over to the company and the system works well.
  Now business wants a link or a feature that requires to connect 5 existing folders and this link will appear on the screen 7 items these records.
  As it is a complex join, I think to provide a custom folder with all elements of reaquired (which exist in those folders) in the tables that connects all these tables in a view.
  There are two ways to do:
  One, create a view in the database and map a simple folder to it.
  Two, create a cutom folder with the same query.
  I was wondering if a method is preferable on other maintenace point of view or any other consideration.
  There are no restrictions in our society to create new views. If I create a view, I grant all users the right to select on that. In the custom folder I need not to worry about privileges.
  I was reading another thread last: migrate folders customized views of the database which, in my view, that view is a better option.

  If you are able to create views this option is always better for complex joins. Dependencies are managed in the database and complex queries are stored in the database to which they belong.

  You don't need to select all your users privileges, because you should use database roles. You just need to grant the role of discoverer database selection.

  The biggest problem with the tablets of flow and win 10 is battery draining, especially in "standby mode". The only work around is turn off wifi, bluetooth and the location in the settings before you let sleep. Not a very good alternative.

  You can return if you delete the old Windows folder that was created during the upgrade.

  Go to settings > update & Security > Recovery > go back to a previous version of Windows.

  Follow the prompts.

  If you can not go back, and you have not created a recovery image before the upgrade, you will need to contact HP support for recovery media.

  There should be no significant difference in energy between 32-bit and 64-bit, you will need to check your settings of power and performance.

  As for which is better, it depends on two basic points. 1 do you really use all that needs or benefits of 64 bit, not a lot of programs don't. Second, how much memory is installed. 32 bit is limited to 4 GB native but about 3.2 GB of technical limit. However, 64-bit requires more memory base so in fact will help only if you have more than 4 GB
