Want to K204TX: A factory reset will erase my custom partitions?

Problems with Windows (installed programs are NOT displayed is the Control Panel / programs and features).

When I got the laptop, she had 2 partitions (visible), a C:\ with almost the entire HARD drive is assigned to the and a D:\ (Recovery) of about 30 GB.

I have since created two partitions more and resized C:\.

At the present time, I have C:\ (100 GB), D:\ (The recovery partition, didn't monkey with it), E:\ (654GB) and F:\ (100 GB).

If I launch a factory reset by using the F11 key, or the recovery disks that I created, it will erase my E:\ and F:\ partitions and re-create a huge C:\ partition? Or he will leave E:\ and F:\ intact and just reset the OS in the C:\ partition (100 GB)?

Please answer, I have things in my other partitions that I can't lose...

Thank you.

Hello:

If you use both methods, the hard drive will be reset to its status of "out of the box", then Yes, you will lose the partitions and the data on them that you created.

Is the toolbar in the toolbar area? If you switch to full screen mode, this area will usually slide upward and out of sight. You can switch between normal view and full screen by pressing the F11 key.

Usually, an additional toolbar in the toolbar area is added by an extension. Oddly enough, your "more details of the system" does not show an obvious extension of Yahoo!:

    Name: Firebug
    Name: MeasureIt
    Name: Session Manager
    Name: AVG Security Toolbar
    Name: HP Smart Web Printing

If the toolbar is your home page (the page that is displayed when you create a new window using Ctrl + n), you can reset your default homepage using either:

  • 23 all-in-One Pavilion: a Factory Reset also renews the recovery Partition?

I just did a Factory reset on my 23 all-in-One Pavilion. Previously, in the past, I had inadvertently erased the recovery disc. Fortunately, as I just discovered in the rebuilding process, I did a flash backup restore.

    (1) now that I have to order, updated to 8.1 has done that also recover this recovery on the hard disk drive.

    (2) the last time I did the flash recovery he had only windows 8. Now that I have 8.1 on that I should make a new flash with window 8.1 on this recovery?

I know that last time I did restore flash he reported that it was a matter of time. Could not do another restore backup discs or Flash after this one. So I suspect that if the recovery disc has not been restored too it does not allow me to make a new key USB recovery stick?

    Thank you!  Jack {":-Dx}

  • Factory reset for Windows 7 will restore my BIOS too to its original state when I bought it?

I now use Windows 8, I bought my laptop in JULY 2012. It came with Windows Home Premium and I have the recovery disc for Windows 7. I intend to factory reset my laptop because of my disappointment with Windows 8 and supprt for Windows 8.

I want to know if the "factory Reset" will restore the BIOS of the laptop in its original state. I mean I have my BIOS set to update to the latest. I want to return to its former State. How long is the factory reset also takes? I own edition HP DV6T Quad 7000 with 32 GB WSSD.

Intel RST does not have anything, my HARD drive is shown in non-RAID and there is no way I can change it to RAID. My last option is to try the Factory Reset and see if it helps. I'm sure that TSRI will work if my BIOS is restored to the original condition with everything so it starts to detect my HDD in RAID.

    Hello

A factory image recovery will not affect the version of BIOS or current settings. The duration during which the factory image recovery takes wil depend on what type of recovery media that you have. If you have a usb recovery media that it will probably wait maybe thiry minutes. Use you a recovery value disk while recovery might take a few hours to complete.

Once you start the recovery not to touch the keyboard.

Make sure that the wireless is turned on before commit you to the recovery.

    Best regards

    ERICO

my laptop does not light and I discovered that I can reset hard, but I don't want any of my data on HDD to erase. is this possible?

  • Ipad factory reset

First of all I'm not tech savvy. I want to do a factory reset on my iPad 2. I read a post on how to do it using i Tunes. I don't know what to do with the iPad before I connect my cable to the computer. Should I start in the general tab and go from there. So when I see the iPad in iTunes, click on it and will it invite me on what to do?

I read so much and I'm so confused. I have Pad 2 and my laptop is Windows 10.  Is there an easy way to tell me how to do this?

I would really appreciate any help.  All of the tutorials I found are old enough.  We showed how to clear the I Pad, but did not show how to put in place again.

    Thank you, Cindy

Even if you have an iPad and instructions to mention an iPhone, the principle is the same.

Just make sure you have a reliable backup, and you should not lose your data.

I did it with my devices and things proved ok

  • Help me my Inspiron 5520 core i5 factory reset

I have a blue screen error of death (no mountable bootvolume) I can't login on any mode screens in nothing works just reboots so I tried to reset everything as a last attempt, but I don't have the cd. So I bought a cd - r and what he was going to put what I had there and the computer would read what he has implemented. Can someone link me to whst I need or tell me it will work yet?

    Hi Oppositeofhood,

Unmountable boot volume might be a few things, maybe a bad hard drive. So you do not want to perform a factory reset without diagnose the problem first. And what I would do first is to test your hard drive.

To test your hard drive using your Dell Drivers and Utilities disc:
    1. reboot your system. When you see the Dell logo, press F12 to open the start menu.
2 insert the Dell drivers and disk utility in your CD/DVD drive.
    3. choose the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.
    4. you will be asked to hit any key to continue booting from the CD/DVD drive.
    5. you will be asked to hit 1 to run Dell diagnostics. You can see two of these menus.
    6. Select the test system.
    7. Select Custom Test.
    7. use the arrow keys or the mouse to select your hard drive.
    9. click on running Tests.
    10 write error messages.

  • Have I not correct recovery DVD for a factory reset?

    Hello

    My laptop is a ProBook s 4540

When I bought it, it came with 4 DVDs:

    • Application and Driver Recovery DVD (windows 7)
    • Operating system DVD Windows 7 Professional SP1
    • Application and Driver Recovery DVD (windows 8)
    • Operating system Windows 8 Pro DVD

At some point I want to Factory Reset my laptop and I wonder if this dvd is to do it since I do not have the recovery with the recovery discs manager.

Have I not correct recovery DVD for a factory reset?

    Hello

Even better. Factory reset will bring more information, including the bloatware. Two sets of DVD (for Windows 7 and Windows 8) are the BEST companions. You will get your machine under control and you can download other software also under control.

We all love having two RST for each operating system.

    Kind regards.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, right-click on disk cleanup, click on Run as Administrator. Scroll the menu drop down and you should see the option of cleaning of Windows Update. Check the box before this option.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options , the System Restore tab and delete all but the last system restore point.

There's probably a way to initialize the factory restore, but it varies depending on the brand.  Let us know the brand of your computer and that we are able to help you.

On a computer Dell, for example, by pressing F11 at startup Initializes the factory restore.
