Help me my Inspiron 5520 core i5 factory reset

I have a blue screen error of death (no mountable bootvolume) I can't login on any mode screens in nothing works just reboots so I tried to reset everything as a last attempt, but I don't have the cd. So I bought a cd - r and what he was going to put what I had there and the computer would read what he has implemented. Can someone link me to whst I need or tell me it will work yet?

Unmountable boot volume might be a few things, maybe a bad hard drive. So you do not want to perform a factory reset without diagnose the problem first. And what I would do first is to test your hard drive.

To test your hard drive using your Dell Drivers and Utilities disc:
1. reboot your system. When you see the Dell logo, press F12 to open the start menu.
2 insert the Dell drivers and disk utility in your CD/DVD drive.
3. choose the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.
4. you will be asked to hit any key to continue booting from the CD/DVD drive.
5. you will be asked to hit 1 to run Dell diagnostics. You can see two of these menus.
6. Select the test system.
7. Select Custom Test.
7. use the arrow keys or the mouse to select your hard drive.
9. click on running Tests.
10 write error messages.

  • (Redirected) Inspiron 5520 isn't start with Windows 10

    Hello

    My Inspiron 5520 isn't start with Windows 10. When starting, it shows the Dell logo and it progresses... I can see down to the right options such as the INSTALLATION of F2, F12 BOOT OPTIONS.

    But nothing happens after that... I'm getting a blue mix black screen with the cursor flashes with circult (sign of transformation of windows). If I kept the system - once in a whiel his flashes with / black screen loading nothing. Sometimes, his watch a blurry square colors in the middle of the screen but nothing doing.

    Trid repeatedly check BIOS and Setup F2 or F12 to diagnose, but nothing has worked.

    I completed successfully - Pre - boot System Dell Diagnostics without any problems - all tests passed but still its not start. (I have disconnected all connectors like hdmi, wireless mouse etc.). Problem not solved.

    I am totally stuck... Warranty period of my laptop is complete. Your help is very appreciated.

  • Inspiron 5520 with i7 3632QM - Turbo Boost does not

    Hello, I have an Inspiron 5520 who originally i3 2370 Mr. I upgraded the CPU to i7 3632QM and it works perfectly, but I discovered that Turbo Boost is not activate during labor. This is the diagnosis of HWinfo:

    As you can see, it shows that the Turbo Boost is not enabled. And my tests, I can definitely say that the CPU's maximum speed is rated - 2, 2 GHz without any still on the rise according to the specifications of Turbo.

    Also, I tried to install the Intel Turbo Boost monitor utility, but it gave an error saying that it cannot find CPU with Turbo Boost support. But the 3632QM says of course.

    BIOS settings have not all Turbo Boost options so it can be turned on/off from there. The version of the BIOS is available last A14.

    Why Turbo cannot be enabled on this laptop? And I saw that many other people with different computers cannot do as well. It's so unfortunate and unfair. :( How can I enable it? You are looking for your help please.

    Problem solved, I loaded a [security] default BIOS settings. Turbo Boost now works normally. Looks like it was necessary for the motherboard/BIOS card recalibrate after replacing the CPU.

    I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my Dell Inspiron 5520. (i.e. no error displayed during installation)

    However, there seems to be no effect on the audio whenever I have switch between MaxxAudio modes or turn it off completely! (using the control panel Audio Dell). Pressing the quick set button shows the audio mode has been changed, but it has no effect on the audio.

    Really appreciate any help to understand what the problem is.

    Enter the serial number of the computer and choose the operating system installed on the computer. Please upgrade to the latest version of drivers and BIOS for your PC.

    NOTE: Make sure the battery is more than 30% of load and the power adapter is connected during the BIOS update.

    Once the BIOS and chipset driver is installed, restart the system and install the audio driver.

    Have you installed the utility of the portable system and the first chipset drivers? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

    Restore your Computer´s factory settings software is a much easier method.

  • Inspiron 5520 Headphone Jack does not work

    I have a Dell Inspiron 5520 and his works well, except the headphones does not work.     the test turns on and at the end there is a radio button to test the Audio, which plays several tones through the laptop speakers. When I plug in the headphones, I have no sound in the headphones and more tones are played through speakers for computer only. Also I have heard no "instrumental piece of music complete with battery" according to step 2 in the above link.

    Is this a hardware problem? Please guide me further.

    Whenever you connect the headphones to the computer, you should get a notification that the headset is connected. If the sound comes only through the internal speakers, the issue may be with the audio port. I suggest you to connect other headphones or external speakers and check. If the problem persists, hardware may need to be replaced.

    Please let us know the exact error code that arises during the diagnosis.

    If the code was 0142 or 0146 or DST smart test failed, then the HD is faulty and should be replaced.

    If the sectors are corrupted, then factory reset and windows installation will help only to a certain extent.

  • Dell Inspiron 5520 - replaced Hardrive now what?

    Hello and thank you in advance for taking the time to read and reply to this message. My hard drive recently failed on my Dell Inspiron 5520 (Windows 7), and I replaced it with the HDD of 80 GB of my old Dell Inspiron E1505 for cleaning. Question is, now what? I have a few options:

    (1) I have a laptop HP with Windows 7. I can somehow create a disk usb (or cd) to reinstall windows 7 on my Dell 5520?

    (2) if not, then download the appropriate Dell recovery media and put it on a Usb key? (or CD)

    (3) otherwise, then I should order from Dell recovery media CD? Is this my only option?

    Hello and thanks for your help! I have a Dell Inspiron 5520 in which I replaced the hard drive. Now when I run the ePSA test powers off the coast towards the end of the test during the memory test. Is this thing toast? Any help would be appreciated!

    To skip the activation of sim card, you can use iTunes if you have a CDMA iPhone. However, if you have a GSM model you will need to insert a sim card to activate your iPhone (it can even be used/inactive).     Recently, my touch screen laptop was suffering from extreme "ghost key" that made the laptop basically unusable until what I disabled the human and used only the mouse interface. I went on a popular site that has accompanied me through many scans detailed and determined that it was not a virus/malware issue.

    So, I tried a system restore and that didn't help. Next step was a factory reset picture using the recovery disks that I made at the time of purchase. After 3 attempts, resetting continues to fail.
