Want to reinstall Vista

I have my laptop with Vista but I installed Windows XP in there, now I want to install windows Vista again until I do
How to recover my old vista or tell me another way to solve this problem?

Hello

If you want to install Vista you will need to use Microsoft Vista disc or the Toshiba recovery disc.
This should be clear to you.

Then boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen.

Good bye

    Hi all

    I want to reinstall Vista without touching the second partition that is full of data.
    I'll be able to do with this procedure? http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm#

    The confusing part is when it says in the explanation that the * entire hard drive * will be formatted (step 2) but on one of the photos, it is written that only data on C: will be erased.
    I have Satellite L350, and the hard drive recovery process is the same as on the connected tutorial before (I'm not completely obviously)

    Hi amigo

    I tested its operation, and from my experience, I can confirm that when you use the HDD recovery procedure as described in the Toshiba document all data saved on the second partition won t be deleted.

    Only if you are using recovery DVD (please create a) will be formatted the whole HARD disk.

    Hello

    There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

    They should do this for a small fee.

    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista from how you bought your computer, IF the 8 Windows Installer do not wipe it.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    Hello

    normally, netbooks do not have a DVD player

    but they should have a recovery partition to reinstall vista to the way in which you bought

    Depending on the brand, it would probably be one of these key combinations

    ask the manufacturer for the correct key sequence

    you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 (ACER is normally ALT + F10) to start to begin the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
  • Upgraded to WIN 7 can reinstall vista with a new product key the use of dual boot even reinstall disk and computer
    OK, so I've upgraded windows vista to windows 7 and now I want to reinstall vista as a dual boot. I understand that my vista OEM license is now linked to the 7 upgrade, but if I buy a new vista product key can I still use the vista reinstallation disc came with my Dell laptop. I do not know because the drive is a Dell reinstall the drive, but it is on the same computer. The disk is bound to the OEM key or a different key will activate again with her.
    Dell drive is related to the OEM license and, normally, the motherboard.
    If you want to dual-boot, you will need to buy a separate FULL Vista / / license-product disk key.
    It comes as a Package
  • I want to reinstall windows and upgrading vista to windows 7. I don't have the recovery CD. How can I do this?
    Yes, it is said that in the title.  I want to reinstall them and upgrade.  If I buy and download the upgrade windows 7 will there be an option to wipe the hard drive and delete the partitions?
    Hi NoahFrank,
    No, you will not get an option to erase hard disk or delete partitions during the upgrade of your operating system. However, you will get this option during custom installation.
    Formatting your hard drive during a custom installation of Windows 7 permanently erases everything on the partition that you put in the form, including your files, settings and programs.
    What I would do, my computer has so many unwanted programs, is to reinstall Vista and not all HP programs that I don't want.  It seems to make the computer too slow.  I don't have a Vista disc, only the recovery CD I did in the beginning. Can I recover and just reinstall Vista, or should I get back it?
    original title: recovery
    If your "Vista recovery disc" is provided by the manufacturer of your computer, be it Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, etc... Then chances are he's doing a thing. Completely format your hard drive and restores your computer to the day you brought it home. It's a major nuisance for many people these days, as if you have an error and Windows says 'Please insert the Vista CD to fix it Windows' well, you do not HAVE the CD to correct the error. Your only option is a complete erasure of all data.
    So, my advice is to avoid ever NEED to use the recovery CD, and if you don't... hope you have backups of your important data (which is another thing, backup your important data often!).
