Want to update to adapter wireless on HP G70t-200 need advice

I have a hp g70t-200 with a map of Atheros AR5007 802.11 wireless network b/g. Comcast has recently upgraded my service to 60 down and 10 up led me to do a speed test revealing that I'm not faster than 25 speed to the top and 10 down through my NetgearWNDR3700v3. If I connect directly to my router by ethernet test comes back to 57 12 upwards down.

After some research and a few posts on the Netgear forum I've identified my Atheros as the problem, but finds it difficult to find an adapter to two son N I can be sure will work with my RESUME. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't really want to buy a new laptop but want to enjoy the speed I pay for.

Hello:

Install another wireless card in an HP laptop is hit or miss due to the BIOS white list that blocks all the cards not supported to work wireless.

Here is the link for the manual service alone, I could find for your laptop. What worries me is that the Atheros 5007 card in your laptop is not listed in the service manual.

http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01573159/c01573159.PDF

The manual shows a possibility.  Chapter 3, page 3-5.

Module WIFI 802.11a/b/g/n the Atheros AR9280 HP part # 482260-001.

If you are willing to risk $ 2.40 on a big bet, it is cheaper than what I could find on eBay, which actually shows the HP part number in the image.

Before you roll the dice, see to install the latest driver for your current card provides an improvement.

  • Windows Update wants to make a driver update for my wireless 1505 dell minimap

I have a dell inspiron 1720 with a dell 1505 wireless Mini PCI card.
I've used rc1 Win7 32bits almost since release and had the same problem but blamed the rc1 status.

I recently installed win7 ult 64 bit and the initial drivers automatically install for this card (version 4.176.75.21) released on 10/01/2008 work very well and I can connect to my router N to 270 MB/s.

However, Windows Update wants to update the drivers of 5.30.21.0
on this operation, it limits the connection to 54 Mbps

After speaking with the support of dells, they claim that the 5.30.21.0 drivers are not intended for the mini-map 1505

restore drivers allows me to connect again to 270 MB/s

I'm pretty happy with it except for 2 things.

    1. I fear that other people with the same card be the victim of a bad update from microsoft.

2 and my main concern is that I had a very hard to solve the problem with the 4.176.75.21 drivers when using the win7 RC 1.  My computer when making fashion 'sleep' declares that he is not stopped correctly and he was attributed to incorrect wifi drivers.

It is extremely difficult to solve because it is not all the time.

I'm just the eccentric? I have hard to find someone else with the same question. but that could come from several different reasons.

    any help would be appreciated.

Live and learn. Experienced users only get updated driver required/need to download pages for the device manufacturer or the computer, never update Windows.

To avoid the download and/or installation of driver updates, you need to configure automatic updates to the updates but let me choose whether to download and install them . If & when there is an update, you don't want to download/install, disable the update then "hide".

  • wireless lan driver installation update always fail and the update corrupted my wireless driver I use Samsung series 5

Updates were recently fired the SW update. I have installed all the other updates the BIOS etc successfully, with the exception of the wireless Lan driver. Instead of doing an update, it has disabled my wireless totally when he said that the installation has failed.

During my first attempt, I downloaded the driver 100%. Then a pop up message appeared saying that "the installation may take several minutes", and then another Intel logo appears and disappears, but said later that he could not install. After that, I get disconnected from my internet connection. No sign of wireless activity were found. I tried to watch the wireless icon and it was gone. I tried to solve the problem and it says that the only device for my wireless connection is Bluetooth.

I thought it was just the problem of internet connectivity, so I tried to download the next day, but this time while being connected to a local network. The same thing happened to downloaded 100% and does not once again during installation. I just want you to know that I closed all applications and my laptop plugged in during installation if it helps your troubleshooting. I asked SAMSUNG support and they told me that the problem is with Microsoft, so I should ask them.

I tried to update for like 5 or more times, but it's the same thing. I use my laptop for work and it's like I can't live without my wireless LAN are not always available. Download of the update becomes tedious because I have to wait like half an hour to finish the download only to find out that the installation will fail. I searched his driver I can install it manually but its nowhere to be found, looks like I'm stuck with SW update

  • Problems after Windows Update on Vista wireless

It seems that other people have a similar problem, but I'll post this new...
I've been running Windows Vista Ultimate on my Toshiba laptop for years without any problems.  Earlier this year, I started seeing issues after Windows updates.  The main problem is that after updates Windows, my wireless network is is more noticed and the wireless card (which was installed on the computer, and never had problems before) is not recognized.  I manually installed updated drivers with no luck.  The only thing that has worked is to do a system restore to a point before the updates.  The problem seems to be related to an update in general, I can't uninstall.

I find it extremely ironic that I have no problems with Vista until Windows 7 is launched. First of all, it's the wireless card, then a problem with a driver graphics card (apparently... which seems to be fixed now) and return to the wireless card.  Should I expect to continue to have problems unless I upgrade to Windows 7?  I can't continue to spend half of my day trying to fix my computer after an update that is supposed to fix the errors, but I don't like the feeling that I am forced to upgrade.

    Hi dabaum77,

From your post, it seems that the issue was occurring when Windows updates are installed automatically again even after the restoration of the system and that is why I suggest to restore the system again to a point before the updates and download and install Windows updates manually.

    Access the link below
Follow these steps to disable the automatic updates:

    1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. in the left pane, click on change settings.
    3. under important updates, choose the option you want.
    4. under recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates check box, and then click OK. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Install the updates one by one and check the update is causing the problem to occur. If the problem persists due to a particular update, repeat the process and refrain from settling the problem causing the update to.

You can also check the update problem in Windows Update history.

Follow the steps to check which day caused the issue:

    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.

    2. click on the link to view update history.

    3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
    (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.

    (B) click on close when finished.

You can also uninstall the update that is causing the problem to occur, although it is not recommended.

    1. to uninstall a Windows Update, you must go to programs and features. There are several ways to find it. One of the simplest is to use the search box on the start menu.

    2. in the programs and features, click the link updates installed.

    3. after a few seconds, Windows Vista will load the list of installed updates. Scroll down the page until you find the update you want to delete, select it with the mouse and then click on uninstall.

    4. Windows Vista will ask you to confirm that you want to uninstall the update you selected. Click Yes and the uninstall process will begin.

5 depending on the size of the update, the uninstall process may take from several seconds to several minutes.

    6. wait for the window above will disappear and, if necessary, restart your PC. The update is now deleted.

  • Pavilion PC laptop 15-p061ne: new laptop does not show same adapter wireless network, among other things.

    Hello, my name is Farouk

So recently I bought this laptop in a store here in Egypt. I saw him and I really liked it. There was a problem, however, it did not come with microsoft windows at all, but he came back. I bought 8 64-bit Windows and installed without any problem at all.

Now that is the problem, when I came to connect to the Internet, there was possibility to connect to a Wifi hotspot. My only choice was to connect via ethernet cable. Now, I'm sitting here next to my router connected to an ethernet cord, wondering what to do, and I hope I can get some answers here.

    -Beats audio does not work

-J' have a ton of "other devices" in Device Manager

-I can not change my brightness

    Hello:

Your laptop is not supported by HP for Windows 8.  Only 8.1 and 7, 64 bit.

The "ton of"other devices"in Device Manager," are all devices that need drivers such as the wireless card.

Problem is there is no W8 driver for the wireless card model that your laptop is.

See if these drivers wireless and bluetooth works.  If they are not, I highly recommend you use your ethernet connection and take the free update for the windows store W8.1 and then install the relevant drivers you need.

This package contains the Broadcom Wireless LAN driver that is required to activate the LAN adapter wireless Broadcom integrated in the laptop models running a supported operating system. This package also contains the Broadcom Wireless Utility application.

    File name: sp69014.exe

This package contains the Broadcom bluetooth driver and software for the laptop models running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver is required to activate the bluetooth 4.0 Broadcom devices and is compatible with Broadcom bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.

Any ideas how can I fix?

Thank you for the information. Based on this information, I have a few troubleshooting steps more than I can suggest:

    1. I would like you try ping on your router. Information on how to perform this task are described here: How to Ping the router of network Windows.

2 take note if there is no packet loss, or if you are able to accomplish this task.

    3. Once this is done, I would like to that use you HP Support Assistant to test the capabilities of this computer network. To do this:

-Open HP Support Assistant and click on "Internet and security.

S ' ensure you are on the Internet tab, then click on "HP network Check."

-It can generate a confirmation screen; Simply click "Next".

-This diagnosis checks certain conditions and variables. Ultimately, results will be posted. Please take note of any errors and the potential causes (you can click the arrow next to root causes for more information).

I need this information if the problem is not resolved. As an additional troubleshooting step, I suggest that you perform a system restore. I say this because you said that the problem occurred after an update. For more information about how to perform a system restore, please see this Microsoft Web site: How to refresh, reset or restore your PC

Please note: a system restore will return the computer to Windows 8. While in Windows 8, all of your Windows updates and install all the necessary drivers (drivers Windows 8 on this computer are found here: drivers PC laptop HP Pavilion g6-2213sa). Please check if the computer can connect to a wireless network at this point.

Once you have verified this, you can return to the 8.1 Windows computer if you wish. Please provide all your results.

  • I want to reset hp p1102w wireless default IP address manually

I want to reset hp p1102w wireless to the default IP address manually without a web brouser wireless connection.

    I'm on win7

I tried to set a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.101, but I used the false mask of 255.255.0.0

    I could use 255.255.255.0

So, when I use the hp Wireless Setup is says I can connect to the printer, but the network is bad.

So I couldn't reset the IP address and the mask for the correct values through the fbrouser web.

I noticed that with my 2 other similar printers there is a checkbox indicating the reset default wireless.

I wonder if it is possible to set the default settingson the printer manually without an internet connection to web brouser?

What can I do to solve my problem?

Any suggestions you can give me, I would apprectiate.

The proposed document was good and all

I liked the section 'Download updates of the firmware for your hp printer'

I found a paper by Shiomil "the HP 1102w printer stuck manual IP".

    solved my problem

To reset the default firmware values "lbuttons cance and wireless-press and then switch the printer"

After that, I ran the standard wirless install procedure and has obtained an IP address from the printer proveided by the DHCP router.

Then I used the brouser with this IP address for the printer setup page.

Then I reset the IP address to the IP address fixed, I want to use the printer.

    That solved my priobelm

  • want to replace the faulty wireless card in dv6

    Hello

I want to replace the card wireless in my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook (product LK384PA #ABG number).

I read somewhere (in a lot of places actually) that the BIOS will almost certainly turn off the map (may even refuse to system startup).

My current faulty card is Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 (model 112BNHMW).

    Issues related to the:

If I buy the same model of card off ebay - the bios will allow it? Or the card should be "tattooed HP?

If I can't find a map tattooed HP on ebay - I'll be able to use a USB wireless card?

    TIA

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Cards supported with the corresponding reference numbers are in Chapter 3 begins on page 19.

What you said is correct. You only NEED to install one of the maps in the maintenance manual and it MUST have this part number HP on it or it won't work at all.

Laptop you don't POST until the unsupported card is removed.

Make your request eBay only by the number of the desired part. Do not interview the model of the card.

You can also get most of the HP maps (of course that you will probably pay more) on the site below.

Enter the part number you want to buy. If this is not available, you can call HP and give them your model number and the wireless card you want and see if you can get it that way.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=A3443EA1154544F59545214567C9763E

Or you can use the PartsSurfer from HP:

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx

Yes, you can use a wireless USB adapter, but I recommend that go into your BIOS and disable the onboard or remove physically, if you never want to use again.
