Warn before leaving?

Does anyone know a script or other thing to get the Illustrator to warn before leaving? I open and close many files every day, and because the Q is right next to the W, I sometimes have to press command + Q instead of Command-W. I work usually quickly, so I don't read every warning dialog box. The 'Save before closing' WARNING looks just like the box 'Save before abandonment' when you are not really looking at it, I then press D and spend, without realizing that I actually quit the application.

Using CS5 on a Mac.

change your shortcut key Cmd + Q thing would work for you?

    How can I configure my Mozilla Thunderbird to me for new confirmed before leaving?

    As far as I can see there is no easy way to do this. However, an easy option is to have the Thunderbird in the system tray on hitting the close instead of closing button. The add-on "Minimize on start and close" for Thunderbird accomplishes this mission and to close all what you need to do is right-click on the icon in the taskbar, and then click close to close actually it. I hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to enter into function twice before leaving?

    I have an executable that includes a user interface, and on the user interface, there are 2 Timer controls, each using the same callback function, but each timer is set at a different rate.  The reason this way of coding is not important, but the fact that it is coded like that is necessary to know to answer the question.

    The executable is single threaded, so it is expected that all flow of execution works in the order.  However, we have seen evidence, in a log file, the callback function to the two timers came twice before leaving.

    Excerpt from the log file:

    04 21 2014 12:29:03: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:03: entry-> - 29
    04 21 2014 12:29:03: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:03: entry-> - 24
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: entry-> - 30
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: entry-> - 28
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: entry-> - 30
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: entry-> - 31
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: leave<- -="">
    04 21 2014 12:29:04: entry-> - 30

    Where the fields are: length - message - time (using length = clock() between calls to the function of logging.)

    I can understand than two timers is not the value of the identical periods tick will conflict eventually, and might as well generate EVENT_TIMER_TICKs before each event is handled, but I expect not to see the workflow execution in the same C function (in this case our reminder) twice before the first call workflow execution stops.

    As it is that no application multi-threading level and there is no recursion, how does this happen? that is, he threw internal Threading or fiber deployed to invoke a timer of the UI control? (I always thought of the documentation of the Timer controls used strictly in the main thread, in contrast, Async timers, for example, running in a separate thread)

    "Timer events are not nested" is equivalent to entering a function twice before leaving the flow of execution. Basically, it's the same thing as recursion base: while you are inside a function, you call this function. The only difference between this case and the recurrence of basis is that the appeal of recursion is not explicit and implicit (via ProcessSystemEvents). But the end result is the same.

    I'm sorry, I couldn't find any documentation that explains that the individual counters are not reentrant (i.e. cannot fit). I was talking about what I know, but I couldn't find that it documented anywhere.

    The only reason why you have reentrancy in your case is because you have two timers, both using the same callback. If you have assigned different reminders for them, then you should be able to rely on no reentrancy for each function.

  • Warning before the user record

    Hi all

    I have entered the global settings of the view administrator and checked the box 'show a warning before forced logoff' and set it to 5 minutes, with a personalized message. However, if I go to my auto pool, click sessions, highlight one of the sessions and click disconnect session, the user doesn't see the message of global settings, and is immediately disconnected.

    isn't that a "forced logoff? I'm puzzled as to why the user does not see the message.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I don't think that this setting is intended for a manual logoff.

    For example, if the CFAdmin/CFsetting sets the time to wait 120 seconds, just until the message came, perhaps to 115 seconds, trigger a warning and return the user to the page of the form.

    I don't see how a problem use the cached data.  By definition, cached data is returned instantly, because the database doesn't IS NOT questioned during the period of cached.  If your code expire shall only enter into force when the data in the cache has expired and that the database runs the query again.

    BUT if you use cached data, maybe you don't need all this problem anyway.  Instead of having a single user wait on the query and then let other users instant results for the next 30 minutes.  Return the data cached for all users, and then every thirty minutes let the background query to refresh the data in the cache.  There are also several ways that this could be achieved.

  • Warning before the flight, but no problems

    I have a book with multiple documents.  I have not worked on this project for many months, and I'm unable to get me back into it.  I use CS3, and my mac has been recently updated to snow leopard.

    The book shows a warning triangle yellow next to some of the file names.  When I run before the flight, I also see the warning.  However, I see no problems.

    For example, there is a warning next to links and Images, but then he says:

    Images and links: 2 links found, 0 modifiied, 0 missing

    Images: 8 built-in, 8 use RGB color space

    Well, I need clarification more than that.  I don't see a problem, so I don't know what I'm supposed to fix.

    Any guidance?

    Thank you

    Marion

    The yellow triangle next to the filname indicates

    The file has been opened and saved when the book was not open

    That the pages have been added or demolished this document - which means that you must update the Section and Page numbers

    Thanks for the reply. You are quite correct, that he will try again to install these updates. My initial intention was to see if it was an update to blame. Now it seems to be confirmed, what you can do depends on version 10 of Windows you have installed.

    Here is a Microsoft document that includes information on how to prevent a particular update in Windows 10: How to temporarily prevent a Windows Update or reinstallation of Windows 10 driver -support.microsoft.com.  This is very useful if you know what is the child of problem for your system.

    See also: How to prevent Windows 10 to automatically download updated -howtogeek.com, which shows the different methods you can use. It is likely that you will need to do, is the connection of the meter. The important thing to remember is that if you have several network or WiFi connections, each should be defined as inhalers 10 Windows will automatically use and run the updates with the connection open.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can email notify/warn before sending it?

    My colleague continues to send emails to the wrong people (confidential emails!) and is in trouble.

    Is it possible to change the e-mail application so that it displays a notification like "are you sure you want to send?" or highlights, in fact the potential beneficiary in a dialog box until he could send it?

    I tried to watch the mail rules, but it seems that you can set rules for incoming mail, I saw adjustable delays/updates outlook warning, which means he might have to share that.

    Would be a great help if there was an alternative to Outlook (it is Yosemite FYI running, but could possibly pass it to El Capitan if necessary)

    Nope.   Short of configuration and activation and management of parental controls and blocks all but approved beneficiaries - not with Mail.app.

    Probably will not help, however.    If what is reported here is with mail, it probably also happens with confidential materials and information provided by other means, as well.   Warnings and messages invariably get clicked, too.

    Your colleague has a choice to unlearn this habit of oversharing, or the choice to find a job suited to his habits, or he'll probably be provided an option to another management job.    Or solve any underlying medical condition could theoretically exist here, of course.

    Or find a mail client which is much more programmable than OS X Mail.app and programming to detect and reject sensitive materials.

    Mail servers can be configured to delete or reject messages, but this means working on the mail server.

  • Error and warning before and after the POST - Satellite M40X 129

    Hello

    I use a Satellite M40X-129, bought in 2005.
    After you have reinstalled Windows and all the necessary drivers (after more than 3 years, which was the longest time I used a windows ;-)) installation this afternoon, I meet the following situation when starting):

    (... check and all the stuff of ram...)
    Updated System Configuration data
    ERROR
    0271: check date and time
    WARNING
    0251: System CMOS checksum bad - default configuration used
    Press to resume, installation

    When I press F1 to resume, windows starts very well as I'm used to it.
    I can also access the configuration and need to update the time setting.

    Two scenarios:
    (a) the startup, shutdown, reboot: error message happen
    (b) setting the time, out of the bios with save the configuration, boot, very well until the stop/restart is required

    I tried to download the update of the bios to v1.60, but the configuration tool told me that this version is already in use and it will not progress.

    What I wondered: why is it happening? I don't think that the battery power is low, which was suggested to others in other threads, because it happened just after I installed the chipset/utils and other drivers from the toshiba download page.

    What can I do?

    -Bios update? -> Where can I find a new version? A tool (which I downloaded from a site linked to Phoenix Technologies) told me, there is an update for my Bios, but he wants me to join a subscription $29.99 / year

    -Swap CMOS battery? -> how remove m40x-129, tutorials? Don't want no f * ck it upwards...

    any other advice?

    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards

    Hello

    I think that the CMOS battery may be empty and therefore both a given in the BIOS is always changing the default value.

    Usually, you should be able to recharge this battery CMOS very easily.
    The user manual describes how to load this. Take a look at your manual

    As I m not wrong not the laptop must be ON and running and must be connected to the mains for more than 20hours.
    Then, the notebooks BIOS battery needs to be recharged again.

    Check it out!

    Good bye

It of a intel pentium 4-3000, Assus EAX550GT (pci express) video card, 1 GB ddr2, 250 GB 32 MB hard drive. the problem is that I cleaned my computer once and after I finished my computer clening starts blocking in the bios. I tried to get into the bios and I pushed optimized performance, didn't work, now I know the way to start, but sometimes when I play or something I just hear a little noise like bzzztt and it blocks, or stop, or black or blue or a perpetual scree, it of just the same screen that I saw... my bios doesn't even save my options. and every time I restart my computer it goes back in 2006. all my licenses I asked expires of only 1 restart.and the way it starts is that I unplug the power source cable, I remove the battery from the motherboard and the plug of the power cable again, tap the video card (like dust), tuch the cables around it and it works... .till rebooting when I do this again once the steps

  • Want a warning before hibernation, so I can connect (Vista)

    I finally got Hibernate to work so that the computer into hibernation with success until the battery drops below 10%.  In previous versions of Windows, we would get a warning message to a greater percentage of the battery so that we can grasp the plug and avoid the nuisance of hibernation in the workplace.  Now, the computer begins to go into hibernation without warning.  Is it possible to add a warning message with a higher percentage battery, so that the process of hibernation gives a heads up?

    Read the following article and the and the free download included.  Although Vista does not provide the option, this software can do what you need. http://www.pctipsbox.com/laptop-battery-monitoring-for-vista-and-xp/.

    Hello GoodbyeSkyPrime,

    and there is already the well known bug / workaround for those equipped with processors AMD. I wonder if this is also related somehow...

    What solution "well known"? Around a week ago I had heard of people exchanging autour .dll files in digital video applications and that is simply not recommended by us. -What are you referring? If so, it would certainly explain the weird behavior you describe.

    On the issue of the 'crash at startup' AMD CPUS, there is a bug filed and marked as fixed in the coming version. There is no official workaround solution I can offer other than the use of an earlier version of Premiere Pro. This difficulty shortly.  More information: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/amd-cpu-crash.html
