WARNING when closing downloading
How can I get a warning if I close Firefox 4 while a download is it courses - I thought I had it in FF3.6.
You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the topic: config page.
That will make Firefox asks for confirmation if you want to cancel the download if you close Firefox.
See:
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

Hi all
Not sure if it's something with Firefox 30, but this problem appears again.
In fact, first when I was close the browser with multiple tabs open, it warned me with the little popup, but it wasn't the "do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts? It was just the warning of closure which said "you are about x tabs. Are you sure that you want to continue? »
So, who was recently #1 problem. I want the option to save and exit. But only in the last few days, it seems, is not even show this close attention now. With several tabs open, it closes just to the bottom of the browser. When opening Firefox again, tabs have been restored, at least it's a good thing, although weird.
I wonder how come back asking to "Save and exit" or "Quit" or "Cancel" as before.
In response to some requests for information as possible, here is some information that you may be asking, which I already checked:
-as appropriate on: configuration settings are all set to true already, such as browser.tabs.warnOnClose and browser.showQuitWarning
-in tools > Options, "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked, and "show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected for the start of Firefox. Nothing has changed!
-safe mode does not solve the problem; Firefox closes always just if I quit or press the red X.
-"Always use the private browsing mode" is unchecked.
-I didn't run a program like CCleaner between sessionsI have not changed anything, but this problem happening! I hope someone can help me to solve this problem and go back to the way it was, where accidentally close Firefox could be avoided and restore the previous session was possible.
Thank you!
Well well, with more tests and the help of my boyfriend, what I've learned, it's that tabs "Save and exit" dialogue prevails over the caveat to the closure of several tabs.
With browser.showQuitWarning set to true, it will ask me to save and exit - but not if "show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected to start Firefox, who dismisses the prompt to save and leave (and close several tabs warning). It will save just for you to quit smoking.
And had I disabled this browser.showQuitWarning manually or by selecting "do not ask next time" on the Sava and dialogue to quit smoking, then the warning for closing multiple tabs seems to try to close multiple tabs, since I warn the option in my settings of the tabs.It is one or the other, save and exit or warning to the closure of several tabs.
It would be nice but if it was not a conflict between the fence several warning tabs and Firefox abandoning dialogue. So, I hope this can help someone else who may be confused or accidentally to change options and potentially be screwed on. After all, I can an injury self-inflicted in the settings.

21.0 Firefox is not warn when closing multiple tabs
I have a Mac OS X, version 10.6.8. I use Firefox 21.0. I have the box checked to warn me when closing multiple tabs. This isn't. Why? Can I do to make it work correctly? Any information that I could find on the internet is for other versions of Firefox and of no use to me.
No, no complaints. Just a pop-up window explaining site X asks permission to install cookies, despite me having all cookies already enabled. This was after you restart the computer. Oddly, the problem has not occurred today ' today - so the computer had a chance to 'rest' over the weekend, and I think that a power outage also shut down completely for a few days. I consider this case closed and the multiple tabs warning a sacrifice to use private browsing. Thanks for all your suggestions and links included. Very perceptive.

Firefox12 shows no warning when closing multiple tabs
Although I check "warn me when closing multiple tabs", Firefox fails to notify me when I open them and close them anyway. I checked the Boolean parameters "topic: config ' and they are set to 'true '. How can this be repaired? This is a drawback of having no warning.
browser.showQuitWarning
browser.warnOnQuit
browser.tabs.warnOnClose
browser.tabs.warnOnQuit
change all the above true about: config and check again, the last one (browser.tabs.warnOnQuit), you must create it with Ctrl-click > select new > Boolean > enter browser.tabs.warnOnQuit as the preference name > click OK
> select true > click OK.Thank you
Please check 'Resolved' the answer really solve the problem, to help others with a similar problem.

After installing Firefox 16.0.1, I always get a warning whenever I close many tabs, even if there is no check box against the option "notify me of closing multiple tabs".
Hello unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to turn off the warning that appears when you select "Close other tabs" due to a side effect by an another bug fix.
in firefox, 18 there will be an added preference in about: config (browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs) which allows to hide the caveat again, see bug #772319. -
WARNING when I download my site
When I upload my site, I have the error/warning message as shown on the screenshot. My webhost has PHP servers and they host thousands of Web sites, is not on their end. What it means? The problem could be related to the use of a simple contact form. I noticed that there is no validation of the field, like recording only alphabetic characters in a field that contains must a numeric character (such as a phone number). But the shape can be built without validation. Any idea? Thank you.
If you copy the URL of the Site is entered in the download dialog box FTP in your browser is the site that you just download the load of Muse? If this isn't the case, it is not the right URL.

"Warn me when closing multiple tabs" does not work
Under Tools > Options > tabs, "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is selected. Also, in all: config, browser.tabs.warnOnClose is set to 'true '. I still have several tabs open. However, sometimes my hand slips or the mouse falls off the table and Firefox closes without any warning.
The original problem was not no Firefox closes when the X has been clicked. The Fast Close Tabs addon is a workaround, but it has pretty much solved the problem: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fast-close-tabs/
This addon alters the function of X to close a single tab and not the entire window. Mind you, it would be even if the core Firefox really made this options says it did, or at least if the options have been reformulated to take account of what they actually do. But the Fast Close Tabs addon is a pretty good alternative.

17.0 Firefox don't warn me when closing multiple labels more
Hi all
After having updated for Firefox 17.0 (from 16.0.2), for some reason any I are notified when closing multiple labels more.
I confirmed the relevant options are selected and am 100% certain this was working fine before the update of Firefox today.
I've reproduced the problem on my XP 32 bit and vista 32-bit platform too.
I also looked at the changelog for Firefox 17 but don't see any explanation for this change in behavior, although I wonder if this could have something to do with it "772319 no option to disable the prompt 'Close other tabs'.»
As I use Tab Mix Plus (add-on), I also checked Firefox in safe mode and have found the warnings of native tab does not, then have concluded that there is a problem with Firefox (rather than something to do with an extension).
I checked "subject: config" and "browser.tabs.warnOnClose" is true, as is the "browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs".
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Gary
weird it's finally working. so NVM I guess

Warning of SSL certificate when you download a picture of ESXi?
Hi people,
I have crossed all of installing vcenter, SSO, inventory, web, client Manager Update, etc and replaced all the SSL certificates using a series of excellent articles.
http://www.derekseaman.com/2013/10/vSphere-5-5-install-PT-1-Introduction.html
I think that it all works for me. I have replaced SSL certificates on my 5.1 ESXi hosts and have added to the vcenter, no problem.
I want to use Update Manager to upgrade hosts to 5.5. I see this SSL certificate warning when you try to add the image of ESXi (photo attached).
It makes me think that maybe my vcenter SSL certificate does not get replaced with success?
I don't see this prompt anywhere, as the vsphere client connection.
Check if all the comments?
Thank you

Would always have several tabs with the web when closing down addresses so that the same tabs are available when you restart as you could with the previous version, so firefox. Is there a setting somewhere?
Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.
- By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead it will always save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:
- by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
- type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
- Note: This was a decision by the developers. On this forum, we are all volunteers without compensation here to help other users. Develop them and employees of Mozilla/Firefox rarely, if ever visit here.
To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:
- Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
- Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
- Open the preferences/list page
- Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
- If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
- browser.warnOnQuit
- browser.warnOnRestart
- browser.showQuitWarning
- Note: last pref is new in Firefox 4 b 12, may need to add (boolean)

When I downloaded Firefox for my new computer with Windows 10, I opened Firefox and follow the instructions to put everything in place to operate, including checking my email address. When I finished this process, I had 3 tabs open. Then, I closed Firefox.
The next time I opened Firefox, 3 tabs opened. The additional 2 were on the same places they were until I closed Firefox.
I closed two additional tabs before you navigate on several times. However, whenever I open Firefox, the same tabs will appear.
How can I fix it? I want only 1 tablet to open.

You can find the homepage here:
- Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).

I use Firefox as my browser, and usually, it opens with google as homepage, and searches are via google. It suddenly started opening on yahoo and also use it as a search engine. I suspect that it happened when I downloaded the update for C Cleaner, which I think has a box should I have unchecked. I seem to have found the home page BUT a new tab always opens in yahoo and research go immediately to yahoo. I clicked the tag options (in the dropdown at the top of the box on the right) and went through all this several times, but it keeps going back to yahoo. Please can someone tell me how to get rid of it.
Hi, try this: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.url and see what the exact URL is set to in 'Value', which may give a clue as to origin. There are on: newtab which you can modify, right-click > edit, but it will most likely get changed by everything it touches. - Editor of Configuration of Firefox.
If you still can't find it, you can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Firefox 16.0.1 warns about closing multiple tabs but not defined options to warn
Firefox itself upgrade just 16.0.1 version. Now, when you try to close multiple tabs, I get the warning "confirm close" even if the option "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is not checked.
I tried checking this option, confirming the change, then uncheck this new option & confirming 2nd change, too. This made no difference. Firefox is obedient not the setting of the option. The problem only occurs before the update of 16.0.1 but occurred at the first session, subsequently and has persisted since.
Here, all this and you will be perfectly fine...
even if the option is selected the subject: config is always set to 'true' by default (on the new version of firefox) -
Bad behavior when closing FF 9.0.1 with several tabs open
Despite by checking the checkbox in the tabs for FF 9.0.1 preferences for "Warn me when closing multiple tabs", the browser does not behave as it did before the upgrade to FF 3.6. Looking at the following Help article:
showed me the appropriate topic locations: config to change the settings I think must have been properly updated in Firefox by selections of preferences automatically. Am I missing something here? Why would it be something a preference that can be selectable, but ignored in practice?
Mac OS X 10.6.8
What wrong when you close a window with multiple tabs?
Make sure you close Firefox ask via Firefox-> Firefox Quit to close all open windows and leave Firefox.
Otherwise you just close the current Firefox window and this window might not get restored (check the history > recently closed Windows)
