Warranty status is not correct for my new Satellite A500

I bought a laptop A500-1GL retailer (Staples) June 4, 2010.
Yesterday I registered the warranty with all the correct details (I thought)
I received an email from Toshiba confirming registration, even though it provides a warranty period of 0 year
However when I watched the news of warranty for my laptop online today, it shows a 365 day warranty expiring on 2011-01-27, which suggests that I have 6 months left!

Is something wrong!
The site displays a date of production from 2010-01-19
Shipping date of 2010-01-27

Purchase 2010-01-27 - it's probably the date Staples purchased - the portable computer box has a delivery date to the store of 2010-2-01 (1 February)
Maybe the System takes time to update!

    I have a new Satellite A500 - 18Q, I bought last week. It works Win7x64, and all was well and good until last night, when I got my first BSOD.
    Well, my first impression was that I shouldn't react since the created conflict was perhaps punctual. But today, I got another.

    Either way, I got the message that he maybe a video hardware error. I tried solutions electronically, because on both occasions, I have pointed out the technical details of Ms.
    Please, I'm sure you understand, I very am furstrated by the situation as a whole. I would appreciate any kind of help, in order to establish the cause and a possible solution.

    I googled around and found many forums where people discuss about this, and it probably has something to do with the graphics card.
    Maybe you should back up all your important data and install the operating system using recovery disc HARD (F8) option. Test a few days without having to install additional software.

    If the problem recurs, maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

    I bought a new Satellite Pro L850-1DT and went through the installation process. He suggested to install a password to logon to safety. So I put an and confirmed. The pc has agreed. The pc then rebooted to install new programs. He asked me to put my password to logon, I did. He said then that is the wrong password. I tried again and again, with different permutations, in the case where I had made a mistake in the initial configuration. No luck. I can't access.

    Y at - it someone who did something similar and who knows of a possible solution to get access. At this point without disk recovery, because I don't have a lot. Please help if you can.

    You can set the password later. At first, it is important to complete the installation of windows, check the machine and see how it works.

    Your problem is that you don't have a recovery disk. Using the recovery disk, you can reinstall OS and everything will be OK. Now same disk image installation HARD recovery cannot start without this connection password.

    As much as I know there not that you can do about it. I hope someone on this forum has the solution for you. Otherwise order the original restore on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx disc

    If you want to use Win XP, then you need to install Win XP using the MS Windows XP clean CD.
    But the fact is that Win XP are not available for A500 because it is a new machine and new laptops come preinstalled with the latest Windows 7.

    I have a toshiba Satellite A500 with windows 7 hp x 64. :)

    Today, when I started my pc, worked two fingers to scroll and not any what other "special functions". Normal 'move' worked with the mouse.
    Then I opened the properties of mouse control panel, where I got the error message no connection could be made to the device, because if I uninstall the driver. I agree with you.

    After a reboot, now the touchpad keeps always but without these special functions. Sure. : (

  • Jumping cursor, sporadic and touchpad doesn't work does not correctly for HP envy 15

    I had my HP ENVY 15 t-q100 CTO Notebook PC in September 2014. It has 8.1, 64-bit Windows. For the first few weeks of use, I don't have any problems. Then, I started having occurrences more problems of cursor/touchpad to the point where it happens all the hours of use (not a problem of external mouse):

    Jump around on the screen (a few millimeters in inches).

    Move per increment on its own without me anywhere near the laptop (usually spazzes left).

    Does not allow scrolling functions / normal touchpad when problems are happening.

    Works as if I am holding down the click button while I try to move it - mostly frustrating when I make the important work.

    At random click things that I try to move it.

    Here's what I tried to do to fix this and did not work:

    Roll back the driver (did not work).

    Update driver (no update available).

    Reset the device (works for a minute or two).

    Reboot (I do it everyday anyway).

    Reduce the speed of the cursor and other mouse options offered online.

    I've seen similar problems for the HP Envy 17 and other laptops, but no real solutions have been proposed. Please help me with this problem.

    In January 2015, I received by mail, a brand new Envy 15 t-q100 purchased HP's official website. Packaging and the laptop is here Mint (aesthetically speaking). That being said, I had the exact symptoms described in this thread since the first day. With a replacing synaptics driver, I was able to stabilize the mouse enough to effectively use the tool 'curve of pressure. " Then, I determined that it was in fact a hardware problem. I noticed that from time to time, the "animation" icon would indicate that pressure is applied even if I wasn't touching the laptop. If I applied pressure by pressing or stirring on the basis of the Palm, would stop the pressure indication and use mouse returns to normal. However, this problem gradually went from bad to worse, and finally the touchpad does not have all together. Firmware and BIOS flashing helped before, but has been either nothing change.  I debated on referring to HP for repairs under warranty, but after having to wait a month to get this unit in the first place, in addition to reading all these horror stories of people coming back a semi destroyed unity and always faced with the same symptoms, I was ready to fight against myself. so, I found a source replacement nine track want pads 'zone of control '. Ninety-nine percent sure that I had a defective keypad, I bought P/N "761210-001" to "parts_direct101" for $59.95 ebay seller. Disassembly, I discovered that one of the screw mount for the pad was loose (this may have contributed to the problem). I decided to replace the pad in any case. Finally. No more glitches. After months of experimentation and reading these forums, I have now a mouse working 100%! It's been more than 2 weeks now, since I replaced the touch pad and still no problems! I use my laptop 3-4 hours per day. I always use the synaptics driver installed replacement from "dpinst.exe" found in the x 64 folder downloaded directly on the website of synaptics 'uncompressed'. I have not tried to update with windows update again. Just happy to finally have a mouse to work on this beast of a machine. I'll keep you all posted if this problem will never return. With regard to the absence being automated support generic responses to "Customer Service" aka HP, I guess HP has accidentally put on a bad batch of caterpillars and they simply cannot 'afford' parts, labour and logistics to issue a notice of recall of this magnitude! Unfortunately, this laptop must be completely disassembled to replace the touchpad. I would NOT recommend this fix if you feel that it is beyond your skill level. Instead, call the HP technical support and insist that you have received a unit with a defective keypad. I hope this helps!

    With my first Blackberry Curve (new) work I managed to set up my personal account via the Web of BIS site and it automatically created a unique record for this account. I attended the Canada on the Rogers network.

    My new job, I have been give a BB used by a previous employee. I've set up two other accounts using the BIS Web site, rather than the BB, and this time no new files have been created. My email all comes in the main folder of Messages. I use a Verizon BB this time.


    Note, I tried to add another account via the BB Setup Wizard and when I chose to set up a new account I get the message: "Browser is disabled by the it strategy" - I guess that's my company policy not BB and Verizon. However, I was able to set up other accounts via the site of the BIS...

    As JSanders is offline, I'll jump in.

    All this information, I infer that your BB does not get purified of is political when gave you. And the it policy does things that prevent you to do as you wish (including possibly hide e-mail icons). If, as you say, you won't be on their BES, then I suggest go back you to these admins and let them clean the BB correctly to remove the it strategy. Then, you will want to clean totally and completely from the beginning.

    HI, I recently bought a new iPad 2 air. He came with all of the iPad apps and when I tried to download on the AppStore, I noticed that they are marked with the full price.

    I checked the aid community and saw that other members have also had the same problem. I tried all of the suggestions: cache cleared, restarted, disconnected from the App Store. But nothing has worked. My iOS is updated.

    Is that what I'm doing wrong? Or are not free apps anymore? It's my first Apple product so I'm a bit lost here. Very grateful for the help.

    Trying to connect a parameter only if the status of the step is "failure" will not save the setting when the step will actually fail.  On the other hand, variables with the same State will record very well.

    The sequence attached illustrates this.  Basically I have a sous-suite that returns a random number and a string as parameters.  I use the random number to evaluate against my limits for the test call.  I want to save the parameter of string only if the step fails.  So I put as an additional result, then assign the condition

    Step.Result.Status == "failed".

    The data never show on the report.

    But when I put a result additional explicit with the same local variable and put the same exact condition it appears on the report when the step fails.

    I'm puzzled as to why settings will not open a session to this condition, but additional explicit results work fine with the same State.

    Any thoughts?

    Condition for additional result of the parameter is evaluated before the State sequence is set to failure. The 'out' parameter additional results are evaluated probably just after the code module, so if the status of the step is not changed by the call of code module, then it will always be "Running".

    I can see how it would be nice if it worked the way you ask, but keep in mind for input/output parameters it is usually the same expression/variable to both the 'in' and 'out' additional result, so it is important to the time at which the result is recorded. It must be done before calling code module for 'in' settings and after the call of code module to 'out' parameters to reflect the State of the variables to these points in time. I think that the intention is that the additional result for settings must reflect the State of the variables at the point in time immediately right before the call for 'in' settings and immediately after the call to 'out' parameters So if you want to connect under certain conditions a value based on the status (where the State is not changed directly by the code module), with the help of a result extra ordinary as you discovered is probably the best way to go.

    Maybe for the parameters we might delay logging to the end, but which may result in a change of behavior if the variable state changes again once before that. If you want us to consider or have another idea for how to handle this better please let us know or maybe post something to the exchange of ideas.

    Another possibility is that we could temporarily connect the results before and after the code module, but then not assess the condition to the end and throw the recorded result if the condition is false. Who can still cause a change in behavior although if "Value of Log" expressions have side effects.

  • Password not recognized for the new Gmail account

    My gmail account ID / password is not recognized by Thunderbird. It worked, but somehow it has suddenly stopped working (not able to receive or send emails and just make an hourglass whenever I select any folder in the account).

    Some other details:

    . I use Thunderbird 38 (could the upgrade caused the problem?).
    . I tried to remove and re-add the account. It connects fine, but does not recognize the username/password.
    . I did some Google 2-step of checking is turned off.
    . I deleted the Google Contacts.
    . I checked that access for less secure applications is disabled in Google (even though I believe that Thunderbird 38 should not require this).

    I followed all the steps I find Google search, including the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-gmailsite. Nothing seems to help.

    I'm up a Creek. I like Thunderbird (use it for multiple e-mail accounts), but hair pulling try that it works - and it takes too long. Any suggestions?

  • Microsoft Account: Not available for the New Alias Email

    Hello!

    I try to add a new email address as an alias on my Microsoft account. The email that I would use previously has been associated with another Microsoft account, but long since I disabled the account. I tried to add to this email and received this message: "this e-mail address is already taken. Please try another. "Thinking that I can not properly deactivated this account, I tried to reconnect, only to be told that this account was no longer in existence. I tried to make a NEW account with this email (to see if it works), and once more, I was told that the enamel is already associated with an account. Any suggestions on how I can add this email to my checking account?
