washed out background on the Treo Pro image

Hello:

When I put my background image on my today screen (check box in the settings, navigate to the image - use the 320 x 320 resolution) I get a "washed out" version of the image, regardless of its original color, your or its intensity. Images of the pre-installed themes are fine - dynamic and clear - but setting user images are very light (a bit like a transparency of 50% in Photoshop, for example). I tried the two format .jpg and .png. Backlight settings are not cure it either.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Hmm... I somehow missed your last post, sorry. I'm happy that you found the settings in Explorer photos and videos, I should have been more clear.
In any case if this solves your problem please mark as the solution, this way people who use the Treo Pro can display the solution.

  • Place looks washed out compared to the original in Photoshop TIFF

I have a TIFF file created in Photoshop with Adobe RGB color profile (1998). It seems lively and great. When I put in my InDesign document, however, it seems dull and washed out. InDesign color settings are:

    Work space: Adobe RGB (1998)

Color management policies: keep profiles incorporated (for the two RGB/CMYK)

When installing, I selected "Display Options" and tried to use Adobe RGB (1998) and the default Document. Nothing seems to make any difference.

This happens on my Mac Leopard 10.5.5 and machines to Windows XP SP3.

If there is transparency on the page and your fusion of transparent space is CMYK image is forced into your doc CMYK color space.

  • Change the programmable keys on the Treo Pro screen today

I just bought a Palm Treo Pro, and I'm trying to customize it.  Can I change the right key on the screen today?

Right now it says Internet.  How can I change that to the notes, for example?

Also, can I add items to my list of screen today?  I've already customized the list according to the default options, but I would like to add a program that is not on the list?  For example, I have spots on the list now, but how do I add Notes as well?

    Thank you.

  • Palm Treo Pro trouble: Windows media player passes each time the screen saver updated

The treo Pro is an excellent application of low power consumption screensaver that displays date, time and info missed calls. However, the disappointment is that when you listen to music while in screen saver mode, windows media player ignores all the minutes when the clock on the screen saver updates / refreshes.

Since the clock updates every minute, the player skips a beat with unerring accuracy.

It's the solution to this problem. Please, do not respond to a 'solution' to disable the screen saver. I who have already tested and am aware of it. I don't want to disable the default screen saver.

Agree. I discovered that letting Windows media player running on the screen prevents the screen saver from kicking in (which she does if the phone is on the screen today). The screen always shows the player running but will drive according to the configuration.

With that, the problem is solved when I play music in a car, but it will be a pain when walking or jogging.

So I guess the only solution is to disable the screen saver with a single operation... desire, I had an app for that!

  • How to avoid the loss of image quality... ?

    Hi there, noob here.

I have a lot of high resolution 1080 p. PNG images that I need to put together in a slideshow movie...

But I can't seem to do it without significant picture quality deterioration.

In the monitor of first preview at 100%, the problem questions (lightweight/washed out colors, blur the finer details, yucky artifacts pixely etc.) are more subtle, but still noticeable.  And then after I exported, the questions are considerably worse.

I played around with different settings at this point... and I still had no luck.

To put it simply, what exactly that I do to ensure the image in the final movie stills look exactly like the original .png files?  Thank you!

(As you can see below, the colors of the final export are substantially lighter than the original and background paper texture virtually disappears)

CineForm is expected to be available in a format of output in your export settings.

QuickTime player is usually guilty displays a rendering of the more washed out of your video as the first, as discussed in this thread in this forum:

Gamma in Quicktime vs first shift

This could be responsible for the difference in color and contrast you see. I suggest using the free VLC Player (search and you will find) for a more accurate representation, with the caveats noted in the thread linked above.

Regarding the vague details and artifacts, you will need to go to a high data throughput (bitrate). If all of the videos is similar to the images you provided, you can go to a CBR (constant bit rate) and experiment with settings high to see compromise between preserving detail and the size of the file. Even if you stick with VBR, the same principles apply, more the bitrate, more conservation of detail and more the output file.

And don't forget, once you download on youtube, they will destroy anyway.

  • Treo Pro problem

    Hello-

I got the treo pro for almost a month, and only yesterday started using it. Today when using TeleNav, the device froze and I could do nothing.

So I did a reset software and removed the battery and succeeded him.

For some reason any unit reset itself to what I suppose, it were factory settings then the unit froze again and I did a soft reset.

Now the unit will not charge, it currently has been to the colorful image when he turns first when replace you the battery. A bar starts to cross the screen but only gets half.

Anything I can do or should it be sent to Palm for repair?

It's my bad, I still think that red phone as the power button button. Old habits and all that.

  • Treo Pro

I have a treo pro. The Navigation button would not light up when I receive a call or a voice mail? Also, my phone keeps connect on board... When I click to see what programs are activated there aren't everything. Help!

The central button will light only when you have a new voicemail, no missed calls or anything else besides. Also, light is a light that shines with a grey-white, so it is sometimes difficult to see in a clear box, if you move the device to obscurity and you receive a phone call and it goes to voicemail, check to see if it lights always upward. Also note that the middle button turns on only if this type of notification of voicemail can be managed by your operator.

Who is your carrier is ATT? The device will go in and out of the range of cellular and will sometimes require the device to reconnect to the towers including the data plan. But the frequency with which it connects?

It doesn't seem like every hour on the hour or every thirty minutes, or is completely random?

Just getting worse is you can try to reset the unit hard and see where that puts the unit and see if all fuctions as usual

Instructions for making resets on the Treo Pro are the solution http://kb.palm.com 40435 ID

  • Treo Pro - video playback problem

Just bought the Treo Pro and tried to get my videos to play well.  Have you tried the MPEG-4 and. WMV with different settings and still does not play well.  The picture is jumpy, pixeled or out of sync with audio.  I guess it has to do with the speed of the processor or something.  Does anyone know the specific setting video mp4 or wmv play OK in the Treo Pro? resolution, frame rate, encoder bit rate, wmv, etc.  Thanks for your help.

That's what I was looking for.  TCPMP tried it and worked perfectly, as with my last treo 680.  Was trying to get a working version of WM since the last version was having a problem and crashed in WM6.  I found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387.

  • Print to a file THAT JPEG seems washed out

    Hello

I recently exported a JPEG file from the print for the first time module so I could get it printed at a photo lab. I was surprised to see that the file looked rather washed out/under saturated the original did in Lightroom. I have a lot of experience in exporting to the web and I am aware on color spaces and how sRGB is better for web and printing of photo lab. As far I can tell my print settings from the file are accurate.

My best guess is that the rendering intent option changes the color of a little jpeg? I left the perceptive value option. The rendering intent option cause colors seem less saturated in a print to JPEG file? If this is the case, then I guess the photo lab should compensate for that when I go to print?

Ah. This seems to be another manifestation of the export module bug rather weird print. Many people have now seen elsewhere on the forum and you submit a bug report. It is only on versions of windows from Lightroom AFAICT. What seems to happen, is that Lightroom renders the image in the display profile, and then click profile assigns the sRGB (or other) to export. Your observation that it is more or less correct when you use adobeRGB makes me think that you probably have a display wide gamut. You can check if you have the bug by assigning the display profile in Photoshop to export. There should be no involvement of the profile screen any export from the print module, but somehow it happens. Clearly a bad bug. Fortunately I've ever met, but he'd bum majorly because it's a showstopper. The only solution I've heard of is to temporarily assign sRGB on the screen, make your export and place your calibrated monitor profile.

  • Bluetooth and Treo Pro

I have problems reported with the Treo Pro and Bluetooth. Specifically calls fail on call waiting and the silent ringer switch does not always work when Bluetooth is engaged. I also noticed that the list of compatible devices Palm usually includes older models and even the new Palm Bluetooth does NOT support managing multiple calls. This seems to be a problem in the firmware of the PRO. Palm gave an estimate of when the firmware will be updated? Please explain why the Palm Bluetooth in incompatible with multiple calls. '

    Thank you.

I'm not aware of any fix for this type of problem. Usually, I learned a few days before an update is released. Keep looking on the support page for the Pro for updates regularly.

  • See pdf on Treo Pro

I get pdf documents created by the creator of Oracle pdf and Adobe Reader 2.5 version provided with the Treo Pro opens blank pages. If I open it on my pc and resave using Adobe Acrobat Pro, then transfer them to the Treo Pro I can view fine. I assume that there is a problem with the Oracle pdf creator, but there is nothing I can do about it. Does anyone know if any third-party pdf viewing software will open these files?

Well I fixed it. I downloaded a freeware for Windows Mobile pdf viewer. Pocketxpdf.

    http://pocketxpdf.sourceforge.NET/

Problem solved. I think it was a matter of version that the Acrobat Lite 2.5 as that provided with the Treo Pro could not deal with PDFs 1.1 really old version. I have Acrobat Pro on my pc and can only generate PDFs back to 1.4.
