If so, you can use third party software to convert WMA to WAV audio format.

  • WAV file labels

    Hi people,

I wonder if there is a solution for my problem with wav files.

When put the wav lossless in the Fuze + (I use the latest firmware) marks of the order of the songs in an album appear to be lost/mixed up like a punctual but permanent shuffle.

Under the tabs 'Artists' and 'Albums' the order is reverse or random (shuffle is off). However, under 'Files' order of the pieces is correct.

MP3 works without any such randomization.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

I use EAC rip my CD too, but I save the file to your computer first, rather than directly on my player. That way if I need to change, modify or otherwise change anything with the file (like a bad tear, for example) I get all supported before transferring to my players. To add album art, simply put a JPG of the cover image (you can use Google images to find them) 300 x 300 pixels or smaller. Name it 'album art.jpg' or 'folder.jpg' and save it in the folder of the Album alongside files FLAC. Now, the player displays this image during playback of files in this folder.

  • Wave files

I'm looking to read wav files on my computer and print via a card DAQmx. I know that I could do more if I do not rely on express screws, but I was wondering if there is any way that I could always use the express VI DAQ Assistant to display the .wav files. I don't think so because .wav is not one of the options for the type of file, I just thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you

Have you done a search? As described in the recent post at http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/How-do-I-write-a-wav-file-to-analog-output/m-p/2929736/highlight/tru... you use playback of the sound file. This returns a data type of waveform that can be converted to the type of dynamic data wrong.

  • Why MATLAB cannot read wav files OR? Mind wav compression errors.

I write, 1-n-channel, 24-bit wav files using the standard vi OR its file Open/Close/Write (DBL) found in LabVIEW 8.6\vi.lib\sound2\lvsound2.llb. This application data are acquired from a NOR-9234 via USB-9162 or NOR-cDAQ-9172. My wav files are readable by many readers of wav, including media player file (channels 1-2), SoundForge, and my own readers of LabVIEW wav file. However, MathLab is unable to read these files, saying they cannot deal with compressed wav format. As we read in the documentation of NOR, these files are decompressed. I found a player wav to header via the discussion forums and read my wav file. The compression code that was printed was-2 instead of 1 for uncompressed. Anyone had similar problems reading in MATLAB? Someone knows something about the importance of a - 2 for compression? My guess is that there is a word size problem here that MATLAB cannot process or NOR is not properly function.

Well, I learned a little more since last we spoke. The standard MatLab wav player is wavread.m. This script must be able to read multi channels 24 bit files; but he does not read files from LabVIEW. We find a change to this script, called wavexread.m, which was developed to read wav files that use WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE. This format was developed by MS as an extended format to write multi channel + 24 bit files with more information included. LabVIEW wav files are readable by MatLab via the use of this script. Basically the script ignores formatting as if the compression for the PCM format setting was set to 1 (instead of-2 or, as we know it, "FEFF"). I tried rewriting the file binary wav and replaced the "FEFF" with "0100". This file is readable by the wavread.m of stock but not the wavexread.m extended; hiliting besides the fact that MatLab do not really care.

However, I'll throw this back order to ask whether it is really necessary to use the extended format to write these files when the standard format would be sufficient. It sure would have made life much easier if my client did not need to worry about this.

    Thanks for your help.

  • How can I convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file?

What is the difference between a .mp4 and .wav file?

How can I convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file?

    Hello

    MPEG-4 (.mp4)

MPEG-4 is a specification of the international standards organization (ISO) that covers many aspects of multimedia presentation, including compression, creation and delivery. Although the video compression and file container definition are two entities separate and independent of the MPEG-4 specification, many people mistakenly believe that the two are interchangeable. You can implement only the parts of the MPEG-4 specification and stay compliant.

The file format MPEG-4, as defined by the MPEG-4 specification, contains encoded MPEG-4 video and audio content encoded AAC Advanced Audio Coding. He usually uses the .mp4 extension. Windows Media Player does not support playback of the .mp4 file format. You can reproduce .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install the decoders compatible DirectShow MPEG-4 packs. MPEG-4 compatible DirectShow decoders packs include the Ligos LSX-MPEG Player and the EnvivioTV player.

    Audio for Windows (.wav)

Versions of Windows Media Player that support this file type:

    Windows Media Player 7

    Windows Windows XP Media Player

    Windows Media Player 9 Series

    Windows Media Player 10

    Windows Media Player 11

Windows uses the file Wave Form Audio (WAV) format to store sounds as waveforms. One minute of its coded in PCM Pulse Code Modulation can occupy as little as 644 kilobytes (KB) or 27 megabytes (MB) of storage. This size of the storage space depends on the sampling frequency, the type of sound (mono or stereo), and the number of bits used for the sample.

Similar in format AVI, ASF, WAV is a container file only. Audio content that is compressed with a wide variety of codecs and that is stored in a .wav file can be played in Windows Media Player if the appropriate codecs are installed on the computer. The most common audio codecs that are used in .wav files include Microsoft Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (MS ADPCM) and uncompressed Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).

I also suggest you to perform a search engine of search favorite you hot to convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file.

  • vs game sound effects mp3 wav files

I'm working on a video game and I using OpenAL files and wav audio work.

I was just to add playback and noticed that the wav file is big enough 4 MB against against the original mp3 file 1 MB

I'm trying to get the game to work with mp3 files to save space (can not get this to work see other post)

    But that got me thinking.

After doing a lot of reading on the web, I noticed that most sources recommend using wav to mp3 files

I would have thought 'space' could pose a problem for mobile applications like this, but that doesn't seem to be a problem in these discussions.

People don't like about the real size of bar? (transmission of effects and space on the shelf)

    Should I care?

The folder bar is currently around 4-5 MB with the backing track, it would be 8-9 MB

Please note that I have already reduced the bitrate (and did some other stuff) to minimize the size of the file, there's the mp3 file is much smaller, the wav file.

I also appreciate that there is some legal and philosophical reasons to not use mp3 but I think only those technical.

    Update

It turns out that the reason why he broke was a stupid mistake on my part

as soon as I stared it stopped crashing

After much trial and error I was able to do the work.

I am also able to play multiple mp3 files at one time.

I think I'll use a hybrid model, however, keep track of .wav for sound effects files and MP3 files for support.  I find that the mp3 files do not seem to be too brave was the wav file and just out of sync wise they seem sometimes.

I'm also somewhat surpised that mmr_stop() is so expensive, it caused glitches in my game, but I moved it to a different thread, and everything seems fine.

  • Export of audio channels in the form of separate wav files

Simple question - do not answer in the help pdf manual.  I export a stereo audio track from a sequence of first with Media Encoder as a mono wav files separate.  However, the exported files are labeled '1' and '2 '.  But who is 'L' and 'R '?

Unable to find the answer in any documentation or online.

    Thank you.

Media Encoder exports audio channels in the order used in Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro highlights in the first inning and R in the second inning.  Thus, a file titled '1' is L and '2' is R.

In the case of 5.1 channels, the order that Premiere Pro uses is L, R, C, LFE, Ls, and Rs which are labeled as '1', '2', '3', '4', '5' and '6' respectively in mono wave files separate.

    I hope this helps.

  • Removal of WAV files after you create AAC version in iTunes

I recently deleted about 5 GB of iTunes WAV files after their conversion to AAC files. I chose to "move to trash" and then empty the trash. When I rebooted my computer, there is about 5 GB of free storage added to my HD but not the Audio storage, which has not changed. I forgot to check the free space came as I thought it would be audio.

I tried manually deleted WAV files and they do not appear on my HD, only new AAC versions I created. I'm curious to know why the Audio storage did not change at all, even if the files are audio files and seem to have been properly removed from my HD. I wonder if they were not stored somewhere else and if so I want to make sure that they have been deleted. What worries me is that my iTunes library is 94 Go yet my Audio storage is 126 GB. I understand Garageband, etc. takes place, but the gap seems to be excessive. Please help/explain whether you have any ideas!

    Much appreciated!

You'd better ask about the way in which the information system is referred to in the forum system for your computer. If it were me, I'd be just glad if you removed 5 GB of files 5 GB have been released.  If you want more details, try a specific tool like OmniDiskSweeper: https://www.omnigroup.com/more/
