• How can I listen to the music of Nirvana or Lil' Wayne?

  It indicates the MyFamily security settings do not allow me to listen to demo os the song when I click it. But my father said that he doesn't know how to change. It justs brings to something else that isn't about music when he clicks on "to remove a member of the family of my family, go to security settings on Microsoft family ."

  I think that your father needs to change your account under parental controls, specifically the section entitled Restrictions on game. This section lets you Store Windows game and game restrictions, which I think handles music, since music is a subset of the Microsoft Store. I couldn't find another thing that seems to restrict the music in the safety of the family.

• Windows 7 Wayne Reeves background/foreground performance issue

  I've been troubleshooting yesterday a computer that is running a car program that networks to a computer database on another piece.  There is nothing wrong with the network, or the server.  I changed the network ports on the switch just to be safe, everything works perfectly fine.  On 4 computers connected to it, 2 I have this problem, both are windows 7, the other 2 are windows XP.   Here's the interesting part that I can't solve, when generating a report from the database, the program runs very very very slow.  BUT if I open a window during execution of this process, windows Explorer, or internet Explorer, which normally would be finished in 5-10 minutes or more, finishes in about 30 seconds.  IM little bit of ideas at the moment and no matter what help would be appreciated.

• Creating instances of symbols with Wayne in Actionscript 3 instance names

  I was wondering if it is possible to create a large number (say 100) instances of symbols where each of the various bodies had its own unique name of the instance and later.  The names beeing something like ball1, ball2, ball3, etc...

  Normally I just create all these and manually give them their name, so a solution to this would be throw me a lot of time.

• I accidentally added a photo to iCaldendar

  I accidentally added a photo to iCaldendar and I can not use iCalendar on my MacBoor Air. I can't delete the picture and there was a server error. The image is displayed with this header, 'the server responded with an error.

  If you use iCloud, backup your calendars to iCloudand disconnect from the internet.

  Quit calendar.

  Then paste this ~/Library text in the Menu Finder > go > go to folder... window and select 'go '. This will open the folder library users.

  Open the calendars folder that is located in the library folder and move all the files with "Cache" in the field of name on your desktop.

  Then open the Preferences folder in the same library folder and move the file com.apple.iCal.plist on the desktop.

  Open an outbound/inbound session or restart and open the calendar in order to delete the photo. Then reconnect to the internet.

  I have some command line Interface (cli) applications that use a common resource of USB (CAN interface a komodo).  They both want to have access to the device, so I need a locking mechanism.

  each cli application is independent and is not related to the other, except that they use the same port on a CAN interface.

  In general, I want to save the messages on the BOX using a bus cli application and send the order to the other.

  I found a mechanism of locking NSDistributedLock that look promising, but I have not found one that I can use in a program purely C.

  The code I wrote so far will run on Mac OS or Windows, and, if possible, I would like to keep it this way.  I am able to detect (when compiling) which environment I am compiling on, so I can have different sources if necessary to manage the locking.

  Does anyone have a suggestion of a locking mechanism that I can use?  I'm ready to "roll my own" if necessary.

  the idea would be that the first application that runs and checks to see if the resource is already locked.  If it is blocked, otherwise it blocks the resource (say before one CAN write), then open the resource.  IF a second application is running it would check to see if the resource is locked... even as the first application.

  I appreciate any ideas or suggestions

  Look at objects IPC like semaphores old school UNIX. They should do what you want and be portable for Windows.

  I have an AppleScript script that helps me generate a price list. Everything works fine but since an update, it behaves a little different.

  When I started to use the script, it was very fast, staying in a datasheet, but since I updated my Mac (cannot say if it is a update or update OS X), it then passes between the two sheets in the script, which makes it really slow.

  Anyone experienced this? Anyone who has a solution?

• My iTunes is a collection of songs with the same artist, the same album artist and the same album separately. How can I fix it?

  Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I put a lot of effort in organizing my collection and I hate to see 15 sections 'Lil Wayne' in my artist entry or right of the complete discography of Paul McCartney by Paul McCartney with 1 song. I tried to edit all the files together, intentionally misspelling the name and spelling then it right once again, but it do not work and that the use of work well, but it doesn't seem to work.

  If iTunes displays multiple instances of an artist or an album then generally what works is to select all the associated tracks and use read information to add say end X for each of the areas that the slopes have in common:

  • For an album. Album, artist of the Album and artist (if the artist is the same for all tracks) *.
  • For an artist; Album artist (artist and unless there is the comments/featured artists listed that should not be changed)

  Apply the change which merges things together, then remove the excess characters. Occasionally, it can help to close and reopen iTunes between two renaming operations. Part of a compilation should also be set in a consistent manner.

  * If the titles must be synchronized to a non - iOS device, there should be a common artist and/or album must be defined as a Compilation.

  Use the view of songs and display fields, Album, genre, Album, Album artist, genre artist Album, artist and genre artist side by side to see you whether or not it is necessary to change the artist and if sorting values could be the cause of additional problems. See grouping in albums, titles for help if necessary.

  Another tip duplicates stubborn reality. At one point, I had three batches of various artists in the view of artists in my iTunes game library that wouldn't meet usual backward X treatment. What I found worked was adding the final X, but with each group, iTunes wanted to separate start typing a value and let iTunes autocomplete of the Var... for various artists. Collection of AutoComplete lists seemed to work when the full value of collage/montage does not.

• Since the update to 38.4.0 that t-Bird stops working, it freezes. RESOLVED itself. unknown cause

  What is happening almost everytime I try to use T-Bird. I get a message 'No response' and have to close the program.

  Wayne, I had the problem all day yesterday and closed the computer normally at the end of the day. Today, T-Bird was glitch free work.

• Using film as a data type time codes?

  I work in the film, and I was hoping to use numbers to help me create quotes for a VFX project (based on cost per second). I tried to create a custom data type, and it works almost out of an important obstacle. -That, even if he is HOURS: MINUTES: seconds, DURING which it is not no matter what equivalent of FRAMES (which are usually 24, 25 or 30 depending on what video format you are working in).

  I use Adobe Premiere to export a list of lots of files under a CSV file, which are fine numbers. However, manipulate these data is - I would say - impossible without the support of the video time code. Anyone working on a solution for this? Or is there a suggestion feature to me link to forward this to the team of numbers?

  You can give your comments and suggestions to the numbers > provide comments numbers in your menu.

  But everything first, perhaps you could post more details of your problem, what your imported data looks like and what result you want.

  If the imported data includes a column for the frames I think you can convert that.  In all cases, the specifics would help.
