wcg200 apply 64bits encrpt cannot get an IP

Hello

IM helping a friend re-setup their wcg200 after a reset.  Without encryption, wireless, everything works fine.  As soon as I apply encryption 64, I try to reconnect to the wireless network and put in the key, what works, however I can't get an IP address.  I disable encryption and everything works fine.  I worked on a lot of linksys routers, but never one of those cable modems/routers and have never seen this problem before.

Well, I tried to use my own alphanumeric password that I used before on other routers.   Well, I then tried a generated password and it worked, it was also alphanumeric.  So try to create my own password didn't work, but let the router generate one worked.  Never came across it before, but it is definitely the solution.
