We tried to upgrade our 32-bit windows vista system to Windows 7 32 bit
Separated from this thread.
We tried to upgrade our system to 32-bit windows vista to windows 7 32 bit and find no right answer to what we have to do to upgrade to windows vista 32. So far, our experience is our head is ROTATING and can someone help us?
First of all, make sure that your PC meets the requirements of Windows 7 - system Windows help
You can buy Windows 7 from one of the major retailers who still like mainline, new egg, or Tiger Direct - Amazon but none is smaller that that if you want to be sure to get the real and not renovated or eBay! If in doubt ask here before you buy, read the comments of the sales page for the experience of others.
Once you have the disc, put it in the drive to make an update install with Windows 7 . If you have a Vista factory install I would firstly follow these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware that will optimize for a better upgrade.
If this facility is not satisfactory, then do the vastly superior clean reinstall Windows 7

I can't find any reference to the espadrilles. I remember never install a copy.
Hi Billy,
I think you mean Trend Micro (or the fact that I could not find any "Trend Micro"). Please see if the following is helpful: http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-us/1056551.aspx.
If this does not work, then please try http://www.appremover.com/ and use the two methods if necessary to find and remove the AV programs on your system (which should include everything that is).
Good luck!

I'm trying to upgrade my Dell E510 Windows XP to Windows 7 Professional that I bought.
I did all the back up and these and I run the Setup. I choose the Customize option because I know that I have to reformat the hard drive. He started very well. It decompresses the files and completes and goes for its first reboot. Then after that is seem like he's going to start and comes with a STARTING WINDOWS screen. However it never goes any further. Help. Please let me know how I can get beyond this point. BTW, the Advisor of compatibility is clean.
Microsoft Level 2 returned my call. In fact, they were able to determine the cause. It was a memory problem. I had 2 different types of memory in my PC. Although they seem to work with XP, well they had problems with Windows 7 Installation and configuration in the Dell E510. The tech has me pull put of the RAM chips and windows 7 is installed from there, on, no problem. Why I'm not really sure. After installing I put back in the memory and everything's fine. So if you have a DELL E510 with different types of memory, you can take one or all the fleas memory except one to install your upgrade to WINDOWS 7. Problem has been solved!
