• Why is the video from popular websites (for example Weather Channel) blocked on my Firefox?

  I recently downloaded Firefox on a PC, it is my default browser, and everything worked fine. I added extensions including Ghostery and add block more that work very well on my other browsers and I think on Firefox for a while. Now I can't get the video to work on popular websites (e.g., the Weather Channel), even if I disable Ghostery and add block more that I don't think that is the problem anyway. So I messed up something. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  A frequent cause of script errors does not work on sites that use Flash is the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. This feature has the security benefits, but it seems to have serious compatibility problems on some systems. You can disable it using the page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, find 'Shockwave Flash' and click on the link for more. Then uncheck the box for "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" and try it for a day to see if that helps you.

  The Cowboys site certainly uses Flash. Do you get the commercial of the pre-roll for Dallas advertising or no video at all?

  This kind of message is a scam. It wasn't Apple that you called. I hope that you disclose any personal or financial information to fraudsters.

  Press the Home button twice and then slide up on the preview of Safari.

• Blocked Safari infection: how to clean?

  Safari displays randomly a message from Avast say that an Infection has been blocked. The infection that he mentions is iframe-inf and there seem to be trying to go to a website livegoal.net. I was going to post a picture of the pop-up window using the pliers, bit for some reason any Grab captures only selection as tiff and this forum does not accept tiff (silly). The Forum of Avast sent me here. I will try to attach a jpeg file soon. In the meantime, any suggestions that I can remove the infection? Avast found nothing in a full analysis and Malware bytes is not something or the other.

  Read the documentation for Avast for what to do like the quarantine or delete. Avast is not an Apple product.

• Safari Web site loading problems

  HI - 3 days ago my safari app started developing error messages.

  When I open it and click on a website to load, it just says "there was a problem with the Web page so it has been reloaded. This message flashes for about 30 seconds and then he said finally: unable to load the Web page, or block safari.

  I tried... deleted obviously history, off the extensions... even turned control of virus / firewall to see if these parameters have an impact but nothing.

  In addition, does not load my Mac App Store. App opens but it says I can't connect to the store. Connectivity Internet is fine.

• Why the links to follow, Bookmark and Actions missing from the Discussion threads in Safari?

  When you use Safari (9.0.1) in El Capitan (10.11.1), I don't see icons with links to follow, favorite or actions (see below) which generally appear to the right of a topic of discussion. I am connected, but these links are simply not there. This problem does not occur in Chrome or Firefox. Why would they be missing in Safari?

  From your problem description, I understand you want to remove a location from the Bing Weather app. Don't worry; I'm here to help you.

  You cannot delete the default. You must first go to places in the application and right click on another city and set as default, then you can right click on Seattle and remove it.

  You can change the default location by following these steps:

  (a) enter the weather underground style app

  (b) right click your mouse to display the bar of the App (if you use a touch screen: touch your finger to the bottom of the screen and drag it upward with your finger)

  Note: the Places icon will appear in the upper left of the screen.

  (c) click on place

  (d) If you do not see your current location, click on the + tile and add this place

  (e) click on the place you want to set as a default

  (f) right click your mouse to display the bar of the App (if you use a touch screen: touch your finger to the bottom of the screen and drag it upward with your finger)

  (g) click on set as default value displayed in the lower left corner of your screen

  Once this location is defined by default, you will pass to this place when you open the weather app. You can also delete a place (which is not the default location), by clicking on it to see this place in places and display of the bar of the App click on delete.

  Solved this by deleting data from the Web site. (-> Menu safari-> preferences-> Privacy tab remove all data from the Web site) It clear out your cookies, but at least he did the site works again. Not clearing it years probably caused the problem.

• Cannot display pages in Safari on my Mac.

  When I'm on a Web site and need to display a page, it will appear dark grey. I don't know what program is having a problem, or how to reset so that I can see the content. I'm fairly certain that all my programs are up to date, this problem started several months ago. Before that, I had no problem viewing in Safari, my favorite browser. Lately, in this case, I need to open FireFox to view. Any suggestions on what went wrong past and how to fix it? I really don't like having to change browsers, as it slows me down a bit.

• Freeze pages

  I have a MacBook running system 10.7.5 and Safari 6.1.6.

  When I try to load any page that streams Flash content it freezes and no longer responds to scroll, etc..

  I uninstalled Flash, the page loads OK but where Flash content is supposed to be there is a box that says: it can't read the content without the player.

  Reinstall the drive (17.xxx) and then get the same result. All the system requirements are exceeded. What is happening on the site Web of the Weather Underground to the New York Times is not the site.

  Everything works fine on my computer desk MinniMac.

  What gives?

  Was not using Adblock or any other plug-ins ad-blocking.

  However, I have "Reset Safari" and restarted the computer, the problem is cleaned for the moment.

• JQuery getJSON works in the BB browser, but no app compiled webworks

  Hey all,.

  I've been struggling with this for a couple of hours now, and I'm running out of things to try. I am very very very new to Javascript and WebWorks programming and this is my first app using both.

  Demand is reaching out to the weather underground API, and then analyzes the data to provide a view to tell me if I should put on my convertible top upwards or downwards according to the rules (on 65F, etc.).

  The application works in: Ripple, Chrome on my computer (Win 7 x 64 Enterprise), the browser, the browser Blackberry Playbook (BB 9930 w / OS 7.1) and when I compile it and deploy on the Simulator 9930 supplied with the SDK of webworks.

  When I use the 'package' option and sign waving and deploy it on my device however, it does not work. I was able to get into web Inspector and ends up getting the error message. Here it is (deleted API key):

  In your initial code, you don't have a way to make the data on your screen. If you run this code, you should see that the data is loaded into the Simulator, then displaying the image correct vehicle based on the temperature and conditions.

  My hunch is that the API Wunderground is either blocking mobile devices by their user agent. I their message and ask about it.

  My experience is that it should work. Some of my apps make calls to the API without problem.

  In Adobe Dreamweaver CC official CLASSROOM IN A BOOK page 31 there is the following note which I thought was funny at the time, "If you're dead set against learn to read and write good HTML code, you should check Adobe Muse." In other words, "turn back now, or face the consequences!"

  I should have taken those words more seriously. I should have checked on Adobe Muse. I find CC diabolically difficult to learn Dreamweaver. Problem is I just spend a lot of time and money on Dreamweaver I can't give up. In addition, Muse seemed to play tennis with the net down, a bit like iWeb, which I used to use.

  I am trying to include in my page (just a family photo page), a snippet of code that I copied from a site called Weather Underground weather. I put it in its own div called #weather. Problem is that it is causing the surrounding elements (my article for example) to act as a link! The text of my article is noted, for example, inviting people to click on it. Here is the code:

  Without it, you really miss little things, like a closing missing for a link tag. You can take some time to really familiarize yourself with the basics of html and css. Here is a good starting point...

• Control parental iPod touch questions please

  Hi, looking to get the iPod touch for my 11 year old, don't want him online without supervision.

  (1) can I block the internet connection >

  (2) you can't just overide the parental control with a hard reset?

  (3) if the hard reset is done is there a notification or a way to see this has been done?

  I have not tried to use them for good, but take a look at Use of Restrictions on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support. If you block Safari and control what applications are installed, then you have effectively blocked the access to the internet. If you enable the app FindMyiPhone phone cannot reset to factory settings unless you choose to unlock.

• Failed to load HTTPS via PKI

  I had many problems to PKI certificates to work correctly on my MBP. My problem is that I use PKard to install to INFRASTRUCTURE certificates to Government US of an ACC on my Mac I use a MBP (late 2012) and an iMac (mid 2011). Until a few weeks ago, I had no problem. Two Macs running the latest updates of the Apple software.

  But now my access to some sites of ICP MS SharePoint is a failure. Not blocked - Safari just tells me that it doesn't have the secure connection. Access multiple ICP MS SharePoint sites, they are controlled by separate domains. And it's only one MS SharePoint site that fails to establish a secure connection, the other charges without any problem. To make matters even more confused, as what is happening only on my MBP, access to the ICP MS SharePoint sites in a field works fine on my iMac.

  I got a new CAC at roughly the same time as the problems are happening. But in the past, it is never presented this as a problem - I automatically delete my certificates PKI of Keychain Access and then reload them using the wizard of PKard (see below). I'm sure I'm missing something with that - but I am at a loss to explain what it is exactly as I can still access ICP MS SharePoint sites in this particular area of my iMac.

  Two Macs access the Internet via my home wi - fi. I tried to access the Internet via a hard line for the modem (CAT5 cable) with two Macs, the problem repeats. I also have Internet access during a connection attached to my iPhone 6 s more. The problem is repeated here also (I test this by attaching my MBP and iMac).

  -I don't think that this is due to Apple by pushing a sort of up-to-date security - that I can access the site of the ICP MS SharePoint on my iMac. It would be a possibility, if it proceeded on two Macs. The same applies to the SharePoint side - I talked (by e-mail) to the admins for the site that I have problems to access to, there is nothing wrong with my permissions. In addition, my PKI certificates work very well with Outlook Web Access (OWA).

  -J' added the specific ClicktoPlugin and Ghostery area. I also tried to disable completely, neither worked (ClicktoPlugin has to interfere, but I figured why not try).

  -J' disabled the GlimmerBlocker entirely. This had no effect.

  -J' created a rule to allow all connections from the area of Little Snitch, but also to disable completely. This had no effect.

  -J' disabled IPv6 via a Terminal, Ethernet and Wi - Fi. This had no effect.

  -J' disabled each component of Intego VirusBundle X 8 and also uninstalled completely. This had no effect.

  -J' deleted and reloaded my my ACC using PKard PKI certificates. This had no effect.

  -J' turned off and turned back on the firewall of Mac. This had no effect.

  -J' deleted all the files of security of Safari preferences ( ~/Library/Preferences/ ). This had no effect.

  -J' followed a recommendation in this thread (link to this post) on the definition of certain certificates not confidence, trust, system default, nothing worked. I also did this for my US Government INFRASTRUCTURE certificates, same inability to establish a secure connection.

  Any help would be appreciated. I use my MBP for work (I still haven't access to a computer in the U.S. Government) and need only to access OWA and MS SharePoint sites. It's a pain to have at home by car (1/2 hour drive) just send an e-mail or update a SharePoint site.

  I wrote a personal weather station application.  Now, I would like to upload data to Weather Underground by their wiki to PWS - download Protocol. Basically, that said send the string below:

  I can´t what exactly must send, but you can find. You can use a TCP/IP Analyzer or the attached Web server.  Run the WebServer.Main.vi and call your site with all of your settings on your browser with one change. Connect to locahost instead of the server you really want. First press the Start button, use show history vi, see the dynamic loaded vi. Open it. You can see everything you send from the browser to the Web server, and it's what to also send later to your real webside.

  It will be useful.
