  I am primarily a designer print, but many of my clients ask the web-based solutions. I designed about 10 total Internet sites, but all of them were made with GoLive, for which I received a vocational training. Although I own Dreamweaver CS5, my knowledge of this application is very limited.

  That said, here's my problem. I have to quickly design a simple 10 pages for a client site and I only have a week to do. I fear that the learning curve for Dreamweaver will be too steep for me to be able to do in the short term.

  Since the only knowledge I have of a Web site development program is GoLive, I better jump in Dreamweaver or by using a simple website such as Rapidweaver or highway development program? I understand that these two applications impossible to import existing code, but since I'm starting from scratch, which shouldn't be a problem.

  However, if I should choose to use Rapidweaver, or freeway for the initial development, I would like the option to be able to import the existing code in Dreamweaver at a later date with little or no modification. Is this possible?

  I admit that I am not familiar with other editors, as you mentioned, however they are editors, like dreamweaver.  The learning curve won't be in the software, but in the html / css or other language you want to use.  So essentially, your question is similar to "can I learn better in a caddilac or driving a buick?

  If you are a Microsoft Developer, you can use ADO.NET to access the database.  This is because it is the technology on the server side and is running on the web server and not to the device.

  You can create your Web site by using one of the web technologies side server such as ASP.NET, JSP, PHP etc. Any technology that will serve up to HTML will work.

  When developing web sites for mobile devices, you will quickly realize that it is not a "one size fits all".  Each set of HTML markup will probably have to be customized for each of the mobile that you are eager to target.  And then, for each version of the operating system for mobile devices there are differences in sizes of rendering, JavaScript and HTML/CSS screen capabilities.

  My best analogy is thinking differences between desktop browsers such as IE5/6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari vX.Y.  Then multiply that by about 10 fold when it comes to differences in mobile browsers.

  Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox (MEASURE) was abandoned several years ago. It is no longer available for purchase and the code is NOT open source.

  Now then, you can export your site created in Muse in his code HTML, CSS and JS form by using the file option-> export to HTML
