  I have developed several websites on a PC using an old windows Web site development program called "Frontpage" windows. I now have a new Mac and want to know if there is a compatibility program that would allow me to continue to edit these sites using Mac. Is this possible or is there a development program Web site that I could buy for the Mac that works with documents that were originally created using microsoft.

  Except using Parallels to literally run Windows within the mac, there will be a way to continue to use Frontpage itself.  But made Frontpage web html files are not really specific to frontpage - you should be able to change them in any web site HTML Editor (that's kind of the point of the web: compatible).  Microsoft replace FrontPage with their years of product 'Expressions' there, but I'm not familiar with web development software is out there for Mac.  But considering that nothing would not compatible, it might be interesting to ask for suggestions in a Mac forum instead.

  The same thing happens when I logout on the developer site.

  If you are a Microsoft Developer, you can use ADO.NET to access the database.  This is because it is the technology on the server side and is running on the web server and not to the device.

  You can create your Web site by using one of the web technologies side server such as ASP.NET, JSP, PHP etc. Any technology that will serve up to HTML will work.

  When developing web sites for mobile devices, you will quickly realize that it is not a "one size fits all".  Each set of HTML markup will probably have to be customized for each of the mobile that you are eager to target.  And then, for each version of the operating system for mobile devices there are differences in sizes of rendering, JavaScript and HTML/CSS screen capabilities.

  My best analogy is thinking differences between desktop browsers such as IE5/6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari vX.Y.  Then multiply that by about 10 fold when it comes to differences in mobile browsers.

  Have a Web site that supports all mobile devices with a set of means HTML you'll probably adopt an approach more common denominator based on lowest mobile device features, you want to support.  The alternative is create targeted for each mobile user experiences.

• Download of an adobe Web site problems muse fast host

  I always post with BC, so load on the ftp host is new to me, so please forgive my rookie post here.

  
  I designed a website for a local group, they have an existing website that is hosted by the fast host.

  The new site (that I put together using Muse) a site architecture, to their current very different.

  The client provided me with the ftp software settings: hostname, username, password. But nothing for the details of the folder or web directory or other details.

  I called FastHost, a double check what to add in the field FOLDER when downloading, they told me to leave the FILE empty. But it technical knowledge was sketchy at best, I don't think they were particularly happy to discuss the details with me as I am not an account holder.

  Clearly, it did not work, the old original site is still present, but now with my site as live: see below

  Are they supposed to have deleted the old site first?

  Or should I have specified a specific folder (httpdocs, public_html, for example) when the download of FTP and if yes, how do I get this setting? Fast home were not particularly to come, and there is no help file on their Web site, unless you have an account.

  Hi Penny,

  As you mentioned, it seems that the files for the current Web site are still hosted on the server. I reach out to your client and ask them to remove their existing site. FastHost should be able to help your client with it.

  If they accidentally remove all Muse files on the server, I advise to use FTP client internal of Muse to re - upload your site using the credentials that they have you provided.

  Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox (MEASURE) was abandoned several years ago. It is no longer available for purchase and the code is NOT open source.

  If you have a registered copy of uninstaller, you can continue to use it, but it is no longer supported, and it only works with specific versions of Dreamweaver.

  Just upgraded my DSL to 7 Mbps. I did not notice the problem, if it actually occurred on the slow line. When I launch Firefox 3.6.14 (not Iceweasel) compiled for amd64, it takes about 30 seconds to connect to any website or when I change to a different Web site. Meanwhile, the message in the status bar says "Looking up" {website}. No other browsers available that, nor does my windows machines using IE or Firefox. Help > troubleshooting the dough was too big. • CS6-best way to transfer/replace an existing Web site from one domain to another domain?

  I don't know there is a quick and easy way to do and a way to really cause me a lot of unnecessary work.

  Here are the facts. I have all my work files and the folder of the DW site to a folder on hard drive for my MAC at the location has. I am downloading and display (my test site) domain A, live. This was done as a site of 'test' for a client that I have built their new site, leaving their site of origin on 'their' area B, as it is, intact. I had also designed their site of origin and is in another place on my hard drive MAC, downloaded on their domain B. Now, I'm done, approved and ready to replace their old site with the new (which is on my test domain) to their domain B.

  I have both on my server, DNS correctly directed. It's just a swap and download problem and proper placement of the file to local file number.

  I think I can just do a "file" in a new location for the new files to site B on my HD and make a copy of everything from the work test site (a) files (on my MAC HD). Where I have the files of the site now, it's not where I eventually wanted to have them (instead of being put in the client's file). Then open and appoint a new site in DW and direct them to the 'new' copied / location of the files in the new Web site files. If this theory is correct, should I delete the old site on domain B (server), so when I upload the new site it updates only the new files on the customer site, fresh and clean? Do not add all (both) sites to their directory of the domain.

  What worries me, it's you I have a problem with new site "copied" (in their new location on my HD) falsely files without forgetting the former path of the former location of test file on my drive? I guess just that all the hundreds of missing links to redirect if there is a problem. As I hinted above, the files all will go to the new local location if my new site points to this new folder?

  I think that somewhere, I learned the relative and absolute links. All files are in the folder of the site relative to this site folder? So no problem if I rename or move the folder? I guess that's my question to link. What DW did exactly and I have to take account when do you what has to offer.

  The test site, as I suppose, will remain simply a duplicate that is now developing, until I clean/remove files in this area has?

  I don't mean to make things complicated, but I bet there's a correct procedure to do fast and clean. Sorry if I made a mess of it, but I'm having a hard time putting it into words!

  No need to duplicate the files.  Change your Site definition settings and change the remote server for the domain of the client.  Connect to a remote server to the client, download the new files to the site.  Fact.

  Some websites will not load or partially charge and will be usually just load the site title and nothing else and will have a spinning wheel at the top which will not stop.

  You can use the Web Console to examine more closely the problem. Here's how:

  Open the Web Console in the lower part of this tab using Ctrl + Shift + k or the menu Developer.

  Reload the page without going through the cache (Ctrl + Shift + r, or shift + click the button reload of the address bar).

  Look for the red triangles.

  As stated in the joint, the site hosting the analytical script uses the algorithm of RC4 encryption, including 36 of Firefox and later treat as unsecure. In a future version, Firefox even will not load the script, so it's something that the site should try to develop with its supplier.
