    Hi people.

I have a web widget, however when you get a mouse pointer.

Is there a way to turn it off and just make the selectable items?

    Thank you very much

You have a tutorial on BlackBerry Development Knowledge Base:

  • Web Widget-> State HTTP 403 Push - couldn't map device 2100001 a to a host of the PDAP.

    Hello

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
    Visual Studio plugin
    Web Widget
    Simulator 9550 Storm v5.0.0.469

I have some problem try to Push sample work.
I have the widget client running in the Simulator.
I'm running the server java example (found at http://www.blackberry.com/go/pushwidgetsample) to send the request. Client and server are on the same machine.
I changed the PIN used in the example of 2100000 A to 2100001 A server since it is my default PIN Simulator. When an attempt to send a helping hand with 2100001 A, the command console displays this error:
    Sending push button / http://localhost:28080? DESTINATION = 2100001A & PORT = 100 & REQUESTURI = localhost
    java.io.IOException: server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: http://localhost:28080 / push? DESTINATION = 2100001A & PORT = 100 & REQUESTURI = localhost

And if I try the url specified in a web browser, I get:
HTTP status 403 - no map device 2100001 a host to the PDAP.

As suggested somewhere, I browse to www.google.com or www.rim.com a couple of times before you send the push (to register with the MDS), but it does not help.

    I Uncomment the push.application.reliable.ports line = 100 in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Research In Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\mds\config\rimpublic.property.

    shows http://localhost:28080 / admin/common/home

    Build version: 4.1.5.26
    Construction date: 2008/02/06

Http://localhost:28080 / admin/statistics/statistics, fittings 'Push' is not incremented.

If I try to push the default PIN 2100000 a, I get:

    Sending push button / http://localhost:28080? DESTINATION = 2100000 a. & PORT = 100 & REQUESTURI =
    localhost
    Answer: Content length: 0

which seems to indicate success ('Push connections' increments in the statistics page), but no response given that nobody is listening on this PIN.

    So why I can't push at 2100001A?
Or y at - there a way to fix the PIN code of my Simulator "2100000A?

    Hello

Have you had any success pushing an e-mail instead of a PIN?

Open the rimpublic.property file that is associated with the MDS Simulator - CS you are using (you can find in the file MDS\config of the installation of the BlackBerry Web plugin folder) and check that the values are found in the section [Simulator]?  It may look like this:

    [Simulator]
    #[CDK_MODIFICATIONS for Running Multiple Simulators]
    # Each simulator instance must have a unique IPPP port assignment
    # ie. Simulator fledge.exe command lines must have:
    # /ignore-data-port-conflicts /app-param=IPPPSourcePort:
    Simulator.2100000a=MDS,[email protected]
    Simulator.2100000b=MDS,[email protected]
    Simulator.2100000c=MDS,[email protected]

Make sure that the PIN / email combination in rimpublic.property correspond to what you use in your sample to push.

    See you soon,.

  • Change src of iframe on a page web widget (8 CP)

    Hello.

I would like to know how can I dynamically change the < iframe > src attribute defined in Web Widget in CP 8.

I tried many things (for example command getElementsById(), written in the form of the CP button action) but it didn t work.

I ve heard talk about the Web Widget for CP 6 page, which allows dynamic changes of the source of widget´s via CP variables.

Is there a solution to this problem for CP8?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi Josef,

Take a look at this post and the file source Captivate 8.0.1:

  • Web Widget issue - small but would like to fix

I don't know how many people use the Web Widget, but I use it all the time.  Mainly to display pages web - but I get them locally for speed.  I think that the best widget for C5.

However, it seems that, when the widget reached a certain size a weird behavior happens.  Let me give you an example.  I have a project that will refer to a Web site using the web widget - the web widget is almost the entire screen on an 800 x 600 (the problem occurs if I use the webpage or the local file option).  It works great EXCEPT, the properties of the web widget window flashes briefly (what you see in captivate on the slide).

So that the user sees this flash bizarre nannosecond (web properties widget but its so fast, you can't tell) and then the Web site.  Now if the user returns to the Web site slide is already cached if you do not see the "flash".  I tried from the widget more later in the slide, but it does not help.  I also know that nothing can be placed on an iFrame so I don't try to hide the first half second... Ideas or remedies?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

It is a known problem with the Widget Web Page.  I intend to rewrite the widget using the CpGears framework and I will correct this problem.  As soon as I did, however, she is considered a premium widget and is not free.

  • Problems using Vimeo in widget Web object and error message "What is happening here?"

Using Captivate last, 8 on Windows 10. I have five minutes 5 HD mp4 videos uploaded to Vimeo Plus account. I used the Web object widget interaction with the embed from Vimeo on 5 empty slides code in my Captivate for learning project.  I've extended once the widget and drag it to the Timeline for a few seconds before the actual length of the Vimeo video. Between each slide video I put one or two quiz slides. Publication and download a Web site online that everything seems to work fine, except that sometimes a video will stop halfway through and the Captivate after project will move immediately to the next quiz slide. It's random. In the test with multiple users, a person can spend all the videos OK but the other may have breaks from 1 to 4. When I tested it online, I found the same erratic behavior.

I tried to put a button 'continue' after the video on the timeline. Video can still stop playing after a few minutes, but the blade now continues until the button is on the timeline. So it does not solve the problem.

In the properties of the Web Widget object, there is a preview button:

    WhatsGoingOn.png

When I saw one of the 5 videos shipped I get this message "what happens?", but I can see the first frame of each video in the background, and however, it always seems to start OK.

    WhatsGoingOn2.png

That means Adobe by "Please install Flash or upgrade your browser." I have 10 Windows that says I have the latest version of Flash Player. I also have Adobe Edge animate installed.

Help to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I know that I can insert just the 5 videos in the project calendar and it will work, however, these are great HD videos and with 2 or more users who access at the same time, we have some bandwidth problems. I thought that using Vimeo to disseminate video content would solve the problem of bandwidth, but having the halfway cut of videos is not acceptable. Has anyone else had luck with the help of Vimeo in this way? Are there other methods, what can I try?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Why not try the native Web (headings) object that comes with 8 Captivate? In addition, may I know if you publish to SWF or HTML format? You can also share a screenshot of your Timeline slide?

    Thank you

  • Widgets Internet BRAVIA HX800

I wonder if I can use on my BRAVIA HX800 TV internet widgets. The remote doesn't have a Web 'widgets' button so maybe it's my first clue, but I hope that I can still use them. Just were not able to find out yet.

I also wonder if my TV firmware will be updated to use Sony Internet TV with Google as the other future TVs Sony, or am I stuck with early 2010 technology now and what a TV appear on the Sony/Google site is the only one that will do for now. I hope I'm wrong.

    Sony buddies, let me know!

    _SS

Television on the Internet with Google is an entirely new design architecture; firmware will not be able to convert the existing units of TV in the new platform. However, the ITV BD player offers all the features of models NSXgt1 ITV without needing to buy a new TV, it uses your existing HDTV via an HDMI connection.

  • Cannot compile BB Widget with JavaScript Custom Extension

    Hello:

I have came across the entire video creating a Javascript Extension customized for BB Widgets and made my own. I made some functions available and named my main package as 'rgpackage' and this is where all of my classes.

After that, I just exported to a JAD/JAR file (just like the video says).

Open Web plug-ins, BlackBerry (v2.0.0.201003191451 - 33) and a new project of Widget of BB.

A new ext folder appeared and I dragged my JAR/JAD file in this folder.

Went to the file config.xml by default BB Widget Config Editor and added functionality. Mine appeared in the list, so I double clicked it.

Everything is fine now. Add the code to my main index.html file to test my extension.

When press the 'Run' button, my widget has started to compile (and also the extension) and this message keeps appearing (and I can't get rid of it... at least I do not know how and what could happen):

    [INFO]              Compilation of widget
C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\widgetGen.3461070221272448531372.tmp\blackberry\web\widget\autogen\WidgetConfigAutoGen.Java:27: package rgpackage does not exist
    _widgetExtensions.addElement (rgpackage again. RGPhotoTakerExtension());

Please help as I cannot move with the development because of this error (weird?).

    Thank you in advance.

    Andy

Trying to get this to work finally found the problem.

    Anyone for reference:

During the export of JAR file, the 'resources and Export Java source files' option should be selected instead of "Export generated resources and class files". In my Eclipse, the last of them has been selected by default.

Unfortunately, the video tutorial is not clear on this point. Anyway, you can see in the video that the correct option is selected, but because it is not mentioned, it can be confusing as it dawned on me.

But now, everything works as expected. Finally!

    I thank everyone.

  • Cannot connect widget - unable to find signature keys

About 1 year ago, I installed Eclipse and plugin BB to develop java applications of BB. I had bought and installed signature keys and was able to sign the apps very well at the time.

Then, I want to write a 'widget' using the new (for me) web plugin for eclipse. The only way I could get that work was by installing the all-in-one "BlackBerry Web plug-in in Eclipse" (the package that has the correct version of eclipse plugin extension). The only problem is that I can't sign widgets.

So, in summary, I have two versions of Eclipse on my computer:

    1. a version with the blackberry java plug-in for making java applications (that I could sign)

    2. the version with the blackberry widget plugin to make apps widget (I can not sign)

The error I get from the BlackBerry Web/Widget to eclipse version when I try to sign my widget is:

Cannot connect widget - unable to find signature keys

Do I need to import the key somehow (wherever they are) of the old version of Eclipse for the 'new' or perhaps reinstall?

    Or even buy them?

Note: I still have the original files of .csi 3 If this is useful

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you for your response. I had sent dev support and received the following response (which is essentially the same thing you said):

Please contact BlackBerry Application Development Support.

When you install your signing keys, first they are only registered with a JDE 1. Specifically, most recently installed JDE on your machine. Following these steps, you should be able to activate the privileges of your signature for all d located on your computer:

    (1) locate your signing keys by searching your computer for sigtool.db. You can find several files of sigtool.db, but you are looking for the sigtool.db that, if opened with a text editor, you see references to all three signatories (RBB, RRT and CPR) as follows:

#The file of database containing information to request signatures.
    #[DATE]
    RBB = [CLIENT_ID] http\: / /www.rim.net/Websigner/servlet/BBApps
    RRT = [CLIENT_ID] http\: / /www.rim.net/Websigner/servlet/Runtime
    CPR = [CLIENT_ID] http\: / /www.rim.net/Websigner/servlet/CryptoRIM

You can find this file, go to the next step if we can deliver a set of replacement of signature keys, free of charge.

    (2) COPY the 4 following four files in the same folder as you find the sigtool.db file in:
    -sigtool.db
-sigtool.set (if this file does not exist, it is good to ignore it).
    -sigtool.csk
    -SignatureTool.jar

    (3) If you are using Eclipse 3.5.1 or more, there is a shared folder where you can PASTE your signature files, by default:
    C:\Program Files\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde\vmTools

If the vmTools folder does not exist, you will need to PASTE the 4 four files for each component pack individually, by default:
C:\Program Files\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpackx.x.x_x.x.x.x\components\bin (where x.x.x_x.x.x.x is the version of the component Pack.)

If you use BlackBerry JDE, please note that there is no shared folder. You will need to associate each individual JDE with the privileges of your signature and PASTE the files in each associated BIN folder:
C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE x.x.x\bin (being the JDE version x.x.x.)

Finally, if you are using BlackBerry Widgets, you can PASTE the files in the next BIN folder, by default:
    C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\bin

By copying the files of four 4 and sticking them in the BIN of your d files, you copy your signature to these can thus privileges. Please note that this approach will allow the privileges of signature for all on a 1 d machine, but will not work for d on other machines; signature keys cannot be installed on 1 machine.

If you have any questions about the process described above, feel free to contact me.

On the same computer machine, I had signed with signing authority and got keys etc. I remember RIM sending me 2 folders with 1 file of csi in each.

Now since I work with web applications, what should I do to get these installed keys and sign my BB web apps. I'm confused between the options "install new keys, import existing keys, get a signature keys.

    Hello

To clarify, you have already purchased and received your RIM key code, signature and use it for Java development?

If yes then you need to also make available be used by WebWorks Plug-ins as well. Help on this subject are available in the Eclipse and Visual Studio Plug-ins (search for "key signature").

For example, in Eclipse, open the Windows Menu and click on Preferences.  There should be links to the key management of signature under the direction of BlackBerry Web/Widget.  If you have already installed keys on your computer, you click on the link "import existing keys":

For more information about code signing, see this article:

  • simple web page?

    Hello

Im very very new here... I have a new project that I have to integrate into BB web apps.

This is my goal for now. If it's work so many stuffs beside him. Laughing out loud

let say I have a current page I want to show: http://www.mysite.com/blackbery_page.php?id=12345

and on this page, just a simple script with query mysql database that returns records little filled from the id in the address.

is this possible? How can I achieve that?

just went today tutorials from simple web widget and works very well.

    any help really appreciated.

    Thank you

    noister

You want to make sure that you list your domain name "http://www.mysite.com" in the white list the widget element.  The developer's guide should scroll you, how to proceed.

Then you can simply navigate to this URL in your widget to bring it.

  • BlackBerry Web Plugin error Console (2)

As I said in my previous post, I love working with firebug console when I develop applications of js. I'm trying to do the same thing with the BB.

I'm developing an easy extension of JS that write log messages to system.out. The problem is the simulator that comes with the plugin eclipse Web does not display this message.

When I install the widget on a JDE Simulator, I see messages, but not with the two web plugin Simulator.

Why? Other ideas to see the logs?

I was looking at this topic. I guess it's the debug configuration standard of the Launcher with the plugin eclipse web widget.

I think it should be useful you are an option to display all the System.out on the widget console. If you work with js extensions, it will be very useful.

    Enrique.

  • Approach of Web Dev - what is the best?

    Hello

I have a site that makes heavy use of AJAX tools and works well in ie. The same site does not work as expected in the simulator of 9700 (5.0.0442).

Q1) Blackberry 9700 doesn't support AJAX toolkit completely? (I tried to open some samples of asp.net on Simulator site and all 80%, worked well)

(Q2) If you think, it's best to have a version of the website customized for 9700, site the following is the best approach?

(Approach - 1) make a simple HTML of the site and host it on IIS and ask users to open this site instead

the pros expected: rapid development and easy cons: everytime user will have to download pages so slow

Approach-2) make available a web widget that will be all HTML pages and simply invoke webservices to get the data.

expected benefits: better performance disadvantages: more dev effort as 1

    Additional details:

Work on model: 9700 (OS 5.0.0.442)

    Development: Visual Studio, c#

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

You should be able to find the documentation on AJAX for BlackBerry browser here:

    http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/subcategories/?usertype=21&category=BlackBerry+widgets&Subc...

I used a basic AJAX in a widget I have developed and had no problems so far. I used the XMLHttpRequest object.

My advice would be to use neige2 as I appreciate the performance over time of development. The reason is that your user base won't wait all the time. Of course, it may be easier for you to do, but long-term users will appreciate you for taking the extra time to improve the site.
