Webcam Live USB Toshiba NB500-108

Hello

I had installed * PcLinuxOS * on my * Toshiba NB500-108 * netbook.

Last week, he began to pluck it when I used the touchpad on it for 3 days.
After that everything went OK that * he didn t want to connect to wifi *.

I could connect to the net through usb modem (Huawei e173, SIM card: O2 Slovakia).
Then a few small malfunctions are out so I tried to reinstall the system. and here's the problem.

I tried, but couldn t. Then I tried a different distributions: * suse, mageia, fedora, kubuntu, zorin * I couldn t install anything. Last night, I then installed * Bodhi *.

I Don t like it, but it is the only distribution I could install on it.
But another problem came out. He * doesn´t wants to connect wifi. Once again *.

How can I know where is the problem?
That is in material or between the Chair and the netbook?

The message seems very strange to me.

First of all, you said that it was not possible to install various Linux distributions.
I put t know why it was not possible, but you asked for the Wi - Fi solution.
To my knowledge, the NB500-108 supports RTL8188CE WLan 802.11(b/g/n module) Realtek.
I think you should check if the module has been recognized by this Bodhi Linux.

To be honest this distro isn't known to me, but you should check the Bodhi wiki since it provides all the essential info on possible solutions to different questions.
I found this beautiful page on Wi - Fi using Bodhi problems

Hope it helps you find the solution.

  • Toshiba NB500-108 - FN key stopped working

    Hello

    My FN key doesn't work anymore.
    I got a message when you use CCleaner to tell that the file c:/programfiles/Toshiba/Utilities/KeNotify.exe is missing (as well as HKLM/software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/SharedDlls).

    How to solve this problem?

    Hello

    The CCleaner deleted critical entries that controls the FN keys.
    I guess that Windows 7 is pre-installed on the notebook. Right?

    I suppose that you have two options to solve this problem:
    (1) you would set the BONE at the beginning point of time before this error happened.
    (2) you would like to reinstall the software and drivers key.

    The Flash Cards Support utility controls the FN keys and I think that you need to reinstall this software.
    It is found on the page of the Toshiba UE driver

  • Loading stops at 97% battery NB500-108, led light never turns green

    I have a mini laptop, NB500-108, running Windows 7, and he never had a battery up to present problems.
    For some reason, battery stopped at 99%, 98% and now to 97% of the load.
    Tray icon says "plugged in, load" but it never reached 100%.

    In addition, the led light never changes from orange to green, as he used to do before.
    It's annoying because I don't see if battery is fully charged when the machine is off.

    I have already tried many suggestions to recalibrate the battery:
    1 flashing BIOS;
    2. compatible control ACPI method to uninstall or disable Microsoft in Device Manager;
    3. full release / full load;
    4 discharge half / full load;
    5 removed the battery and the power button down for 10, 20 or 30 seconds...;
    6. system restore;
    7. same beahaviour with a live Linux pen.

    None of this has worked. Any comment on this, Toshiba Support?
    Thank you in advance.

  • NB500-108 does not automatically select the boot device

    Hello

    When I start the computer (NB500-108), it gets as far as the "Toshiba Leading Innovation" screen and stops. It will allow me to select F2 and F12, but I have to do it EVERY time I start the computer. It seems that it will automatically select the HDD/SSD drive and I can't find in the start menu anyway to fix this problem.

    I tried running repair of the boot from the Windows 7 repair disc and even if it is said that there is no problem, I would consider it a problem.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    I have same NB520 and I ve never done in this situation.
    Try it please to the value of the default BIOS and check if the problem persists.

  • What are the right settings for greater autonomy in Toshiba NB500?

    I just bought a Toshiba NB500, it's a laptop running in Windows 7 Starter. I saw a site that says that the battery capacity can be more or less than 8 hours. I want to customize the settings to do. I already put at the lowest possible level the luminosities. but it only takes 3 hours.

    What would be the best solution for this? are there settings that need to be changed?

    All suggestions are welcome!

    Hi, try to activate the eco mode in power options. Note that the battery life is greatly dependent on what programs you are running. Playing a movie or do another treatment high CPU/GPU drip the battery more quickly.

    When I go into programs he says neveer me a wizard will popup, but it does.

    Hello

    Why you don t try to reinstall the webcam software?
    I think that the software is corrupt and who knows why.

    Visit the European driver of Toshiba page, choose your model of laptop, choose webcam software, download this and reinstall.
    Before beginning a new installation, you must remove the previous version

    I'm having trouble with a new lenovo ideapad u510. I try to install Fedora 19, using the Fedora Live USB image 19 xfce spin, the player starts correctly, but when you select the option to boot Fedora 19 Live, I get a screen that is gray with a cursor at the top left, then two error messages that look almost idential to other flash each, the Fedora logo starts to load , and then the screen turns white.

  • [Aspire One] Tilt screen breaks webcam and USB

    I have a netbook Aspire One ZG5 with Windows XP Home edition.

    If I tilt/adjust the screen at all, I get two problems:

    (1) I heard the familiar sound of cutting something of a USB port, a USB icon appears in the system tray temporarily.  It is said there are 8 USB ports and one is broken.  My netbook has only 3 USB ports. I can't tell if something actually happens to USB devices when I do that.

    (2) if I use the CrystalEye webcam integrated with the Chrome browser, the webcam works until I restart the computer.

    The effect of usb is intermittent, but the webcam breaks every time.  And he always did those things.

    I can see the connection between the tilt screen and power management (to shut down the computer when the screen is completely folded down), but this link between the inclination of the screen and webcam and usb ports seems quite inexplicable to me.

    Advice to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    There are two things you can do:

    1. Tilt the screen.  I know, I know... but it's an alternative to the #2.

    2. Contact technical support in your region for assistance with this hardware problem.
      Acer Service & support

    Honestly, it's a hardware problem that must be dealt with by the system service.
