After a recent update on my Windows 7, no webcams work longer. Locate the can´t system, as are they connected werenâ´t.

I have can´t reinstall the device drivers, because I have a Microsoft LifeCam VX-500, and its pilots are supposed to be a native component of Windows 7. I also tried with other devices, and none of them does not work either.

You can always reinstall drivers even if they are native in Windows. Go to control panel and open the Device Manager. Look down the list of all references to your webcam (video, microphone, etc.). They may appear with a yellow! mark indicating there is a problem with the driver, or they might not. If none does everyone try to enable 'Show hidden devices' in the view menu. For each entry in webcam that you find, right-click on it, select properties then driver. Click on the button that says "roll back driver". The earlier work driver should then re - install.

If the Roll Back driver option is disabled which means there is no new driver installed. You can always reinstall the driver however. Right-click on each entry in webcam and select uninstall driver. When it is unplug your webcam. Reset is optional, if not plug your webcam into even once (in a port on the computer NOT to a hub) and Windows should re - detect and install the drivers again.

In case it was an update of the driver who caused your problem when you rolled back each of the webcam drivers and tested the camera working again, go to Windows Update and look for the updates. The problem with the driver should appear again. From the screen to view updates (the one with the details on upgrades), right-click on the update of the webcam driver and select "hide update". After that it shouldn't bother you again.

  • Webcam works does not in my dell n5110

It comes to my webcam on dell n5110. This problem has a bit of history. So far, the story is like this:

The webcam worked perfectly for about a year. I have not used for about a month and then when I try to use Dell Webcam central application showed webcam not detected error. I tried other software like Skype and other chat tools webcam online, but the result was the same. Then I posted a similar message on this forum looking for an answer. People were really helpful and they gave me different types of tips and methods to try.

I tried all. It was not all devices under imaging devices in Device Manager. There is no unknown devices listed either.

I used dell troubleshooting tools both online and offline, they all said that there is no such device on your laptop. They did not have a clue on a webcam.

I have re installed Dell webcam central software. But nothing has changed. I also removed all the usb devices on Device Manager and let them to be reinstalled. Yet, there is nothing.

They advised me to Flash the bios. I tried, but the application was released showing "cannot Flash the bios to the same version. I tried to load the default settings in the bios.

Then I removed the front panel of the laptop and unplugged and plugged cable connection webcam from the top as they said, it may be a bad connection. However, he did not a difference.

Days like this and a few days later, when I turned on my lap, a new notification of pilot plant appeared and the USB device has been installed. And Yes, this is the driver for the webcam. Webcam was working fine. I ran the test on the application dell several times and webcam passed between them all the time. It was just like new. But it was not consistent. Webcam disappear suddenly as in the first case, leaving no clue as to what happened and then came back in the same way as before. I don't know what caused the web cam to do. This happened several times.

Now, it's the history of the problem.

    • He worked like that for about three months. And now the webcam didn't go back a month. I think on the replacement of the webcam. The question is whether it will solve my problem?
    • What are the symptoms of a hardware failure? Only, I checked the connection of the cable to the module of webcam. Can there be a bad connection at the other end of the cable?

Also, I believe that the network of microphones is also in the webcam module. It worked very well, even when the webcam was missing. And it still works very well.

    • Webcam and microphone two separate units or they come together?
    • The connection of microphone array goes through the same cable from the webcam? If this is the case, the possibility of a failure of the webcam because of the bad connection may be cancelled?

A lot of questions. I waiting for your good advice.

    Thank you

    Hi pavan_m4,

Thank you for your patience and all the troubleshooting steps to solve the problem. I suspect it is the hardware problem. Given that the camera worked after the new update of driver, try to restore the system to factory State. Back up the data before you restore the computer. Please click on the link for Windows 7 PC Restore:

    http://Dell.to/15DfFoj

In case the problem persists even after PC Restore, you can consider replacing the Webcam. Camera and microphone cable are integrated and it is a single cable.

  • WebCam works does not in Satellite L50-A-18R in Windows 10

    Hello

A few weeks after an update of windows or something, the webcam has stopped working under windows. It is not a hardware problem, as it works fine under Ubuntu.

    Laptop model: Toshiba Satellite L50-A-18R
    Webcam hardware ID: USB\VID_04F2 & PID_B41A & REV_2960 & MI_00

    Tried:

    • Uninstall of & reinstall the driver in Device Manager

      • If I try the option "Online search", he is unable to find the driver.
    • Toshiba Web Camera Application installation [does not work either]
    • Reinstalling System Toshiba settings app.
    • Research online the ID of material for pilots.

But it doesn't help, need me the driver files to make it work again.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Apparently, it was a problem with Windows, as it is fixed with the update of 1067. [Update of the birthday]

  • Satellite A100: webcam works does not for windows live messenger on Vista

I recently lost my picture when working for video calls in windows live messenger, the sound of two ways and I can see them, but no one can see me.
I also bought an external webcam, and it does not work either.

When I go to Device Manager it says that the two cams don't work properly.
I tried to update the drivers but they are up-to-date.
I wonder if it's a problem of Windows live or Toshiba.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium and the new version of messenger.

    > I also bought an external webcam and it doesn t work either.
    > When I go to Device Manager it says that the two cams don't work properly

For me, it looks like a windows system problem.
Usually two webcams operate independently from each other and so I don t think that it is a webcam driver problem I think that it s windows or windows live messenger problem
Maybe something confused keys registry or files may be some updates to update or similar

In your case, I recommend you to uninstall the software of webcam software, internal external webcam and the windows live messenger.
Then, you must clean the BONES and the registry tool like CCLeaner cleaning, for example. It the free tool.

After this, reinstall the Chicony webcam software and test functionality without installation of windows live messenger.
If the webcam will be functions then you could install the windows live messenger again.

  • SD card reader not working do not (Code 22)

Hello when I insert the SD card in my SD card on T420 slot I see "Ricoh SD Disk Device" in Manager devices, but with the small icon with the arrow down. When I opened the properties I see "device is disabled." (Code 22) ». When I click on allow, nothing changes the State. The real driver comes Microsoft 21.6.2006 version 6.1.7600.16385. I tried to download the latest drivers Lenovo 13 may 2012, installation seemed fine, but after a reboot, the driver remains same as before. I even tried manual installation, but the driver Lenovo was rejected by saying that it is not compatible. In the BIOS the drive is allowed and I use the version of the BIOS available latast. Now I'm stuck. Can someone help me?

Hello thank you for the suggestion. It's not built-in smart card reader but Ricoh Media Card reader :-) But your suggestion to check some other devices in Device Manager and the problem is that the driver for Ricoh PCIe Host Controller was not correct. So I deleted all the devices associated with Ricoh, then I inserted the SD card again and now it installed the good drivers and player still working :-) of return

So to run back again you must do following things:

    1. SD card insert it in the drive
    2. Open Device Manager and look for:
    3. "Ricoh SD Disk Device" under "drives".
    4. "Ricoh PCIe SDXC/MMC Host Controller" under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers '.
    5. Uninstall the drivers
    6. Remove the SD card
    7. The new drivers install downloaded from the website of Lenovo's Support
    8. Restart the computer
    9. Inserting SD card - now it's readable :-)

    Is it :-)

  • NICs works do not (code 10)

Laptop Gateway NV57H, Win 7 x 64 (Home Premium). In the printers and devices window, there is an indication that the computer needs troubleshooting. The question is the adapters four following network cannot start (Code 10 indicates all): Map Microsoft 6to4 Microsoft ISATAP adapt, Microsoft ISATAP adapter #4 and Teredo Tunneling pseudo-interface. I have a dongle that connects to the OBDII interface on my car, and I get a message that the computer cannot connect to the device, and I think that maybe the adapters are the reason why. According to the same device installed and the Printers window, the dongle works fine. I tried to update the drivers for the cards, but got the indication that drivers that are installed are the most recent. Any help appreciated.

Just because they are more late does not mean that they are not corrupt.  Delete the current and the re - install

Remove the driver current completely and install the latest driver available.  For instructions on how to do read everything to update the drivers of my partner JMH3143 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-hardware/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1?tm=1436753520149 here

  • Webcam works is not on my HP pavilion dr7-4122nr

I had changed my hard drive and lost my Recovery Manager. After several attempts to return my book back to a sort of running status. I discovered that my webcam is more listed in my device file. Downloaded the software of the webcam on HP site and still cannot locate any function for my webcam. Remember that I also installed lostmy HP media smart audio file. If there is someone out there who could help would be highly appreciated. Also, I must say that I have tried msconfig in start.

    Hey Wesley.

Just make sure that the webcam is detected in Device Manager.

    1. type Device Manager in the Start search and press on enter.

    2. browse the imaging devices and to see if there is no driver listed.

    3. right-click on it and click Uninstall.

You may be asked to completely remove the drivers from the laptop. Press OK and continue.

4 type uninstall a program to search for , and then press ENTER.

    5. check if HP , web camera software appears, in the affirmative, then Uninstall it.

    6. restart the laptop. Each reboot the laptop, windows will automatically try to detect the web camera and try to install the drivers through Windows update. If it doesn't, then you may install the downloaded drivers from the HP website.

Go to Device Manager to make sure that the webcam is detected and is not a yellow sign. If so, then right-click on it and click on Update driver software.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/automatically-get-recommended-drivers-and-updates-for-your-hardware

If nothing works, then download and install the drivers for the chipset for the HP Web site.
