  I want to create a Web using Jdev portal application.
  
  I installed 11.1.1.5.0 on my windows machine.
  
  After referring to the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23549_01/webcenter.1111/e10273/createapp.htm Docs online, he mentions to open Jdev, option click New-> applications-> Portal WebCenter Application.
  
  It is that I'm not able to see the option 'WebCenter Portal"New-> Applications.
  
  All I see is:
  1 Generic Application.
  2. application in one EAR.
  3. application Template.
  4. merger Application.
  5 Java Desktop Application.
  6. Java EE Web Application.
  
  Can someone please let me know if there is another option that must be selected or any better docs online for the creation of Portal WebCenter using Jdev 11.1.1.5.0.

  You must first install the extension for JDeveloper WebCenter.
  Use Help-> control upgrade to get this extension.
  Once you install it, you will have the option of WebCenter portal.

  Is not just WebCetnerDS in WebLogic... If it's a CustomPortal you had created a CustomPortalDS.

  You need to do a DB connection in your y JDeveloper Portal App than a link to the WebCenterDS schema.

  Creation of Custom WebCenter managed Server before you deploy the portal WebCenter Custom Applications, you must create a WebLogic managed server. Depending on the type of application that you deploy you can choose between different templates when you create the managed server. In the section below, we will discuss about model Oracle WebCenter Custom Portal that is used to create a managed custom Portal Server and the process involved.

  If you also want to use the custom Services, you can follow similar processes and create this managed server by using the model of the process of creating server. Model "Oracle WebCenter Custom Portal" this model contains all the libraries required to deploy WebCenter Custom portal applications.   Then answer to your original question is that you do not require the 2 different schema to run your application.  Heard that, when demand for a context root user for example the user will hear except the same appearance and content.

  Also I don't think that should you scheme of activity in case you want to return only content using presenter content.

  I use webcenter spaces 11.1.1.8.6. I need help on the following points.

  How can I create an error page customized for generic error pages that we have in the system pages as encountered error; None of the accessible Pages; Page not found; Portal not found; Not allowed. The goal is that we replace these pages with the page of the custom portal which has the appearance of portal and personalized message.

  For example. If we want to replace the profile page custom in webcenter we can create a customized our own page and create a writing of this page in the WC_PPL_COMMON_SETTING table. This will replace the profile existing and call our newly created custom page.

  Similarly, I want to know what can I do to change (like the encountered error error pages; None of the accessible Pages; Page not found; Portal not found; Not allowed).

  One way is to customize and press start to customizaing the default page. But I want to keep the default page as it is and to create my own new page, as I said to the profile.

  The restriction is defined as follows:

  WebCenter content (limited to the management of documents, content Web (WCM), digital assets (DAM) and other components of content management for the delivery of content as part of an application or a WebCenter Portal).

  This means:

  -no restrictions on the calibration of the documents.

  -WCC must be installed on the same HW (CPU license) as portal WebCenter

  -some modules of the WCC are absent (e.g., records management)

  -most important: WCC content must be accessible via a portal WebCenter (spaces), or application; If you want to access the content via COE GUIs, Desktop Integration Suite, or interfaces such as RIDC/WS, you will need full license of the WCC.

  Can someone let me know any WebCenter APIs for querying attribute to session timeout WebCenter portal 'wcSessionTimeoutPeriod' on the Portal Server. I need the value of this attribute in a Custom HttpServlet and so cannot use a simple EL as #{WCAppContext.application.applicationConfig.customAttributes ['wcSessionTimeoutPeriod'].

• Error when running / webcenter Portal app creation

  I got a new installation of Oracle JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0. I installed the oracle.webcenter.customization_bundle and the oracle.webcenter.framework_bundle as well. Now whenever I want to create a new portal Webcentre application it is absent on the files as the sources of the application in Web content, it is missing 'images' and records 'oracle '.
  Now, even if I open an app webcentre from different machines and run I get this error.

  The path to your installation JDeveloper has a space in it - "D:\Oracle middleware1. This is known to cause problems with the built-in WLS.

  You try to connect using the web port.
  A socket connection uses RIDC, which means you need to use the port of intradoc which 4444 in your case.
  So to change the port number in your connection to 4444 and it should work.
