Website centering according to browser window size

Hello
I am a non-programmer and I use Dreamweaver for the first time. I realize that there are several errors with my site and several things hurt, but I just need to finish as quickly as possible. The main problem I have is all together depending on how big the viewers browser window is centering. All advice would be appreciated so so much! I'm not the best programmer so be specific where to put all the codes that might work. Thank you very much www.alisonleahwalker.com is the site.

  • How do you communicate float and image or text so that it remains centered for a given browser window size (aligned horizontally).

    Is it possible to float images horizontally in muse (aligned horizontally) such as an image or a text remains in the middle of a browser window, regardless of its size. The pin function is able to solve this problem but it has the side effect of, well, it pinning. There must be some other way than manually changing the code outside the muse after each change.

    Thank you

    There will not be entered if you have the page open and adjust the width of the browser. It's delicate design and not supported by Muse. Refresh the browser after that resizing should the be seized again.

  • URL/file open browser window size

    Hey guys,.

    I've looked just about everywhere and while I'm pretty sure the response to 100%, I thought I would ask this: Y at - it a script or a widget that allows you to set the settings of a browser window that you open with the OpenURL action?

    I created a table of contents that is customized using advanced actions.  While I found a way to create relative paths, I can't find a way to say "open this window to 800 x 600, without toolbars, etc."

    Looks like a good improvement for Cap 6, but I was hoping that someone has found a way to pull this off.

    You could do something like this in the Script_Window inside the action "Execute Javascript" of Cp and attach it to a button:

    var win = window.open('http://www.google.com', 'popup', 'width=640, height=480, location=no, menubar=no, status=no, toolbar=no, scrollbars=no, resizable=no');
    win.focus();

  • Try to float my icons so that they are always in the lower right of the browser window.

    I am currently using tags div to achieve, but because I am now fields a preloader, I can't use this method. I have elements which must float including my logo on the lower left, my icons at the bottom right and request a tab on the top right of the window. I also need my main_mc to be centered in the browser window. I could do all this using CSS and DIV tags but because I would use a preloader, need to understand how do have instead.

    Someone said in a previous debate that I could use javascript in some way to position elements, but do not know much about him. If someone could put a solution relatively easy to do this I would really appreciate it.

    What kind of preloader is that? Do you use some sort of preloader javascript which shades site and preloads the page? How the preload affects your need to change the CSS? The SWF resize itself?

    If you are not very familiar with JavaScript, it is better to get a frame that will handle things like differences between the browsers for you. jQuery is a very popular and easy to use framework. You can use the class ExternalInterface AS inform JavaScript your Flash loading is completed and use jQuery to measure and align your SWF object. You would need a resize handler to adjust necessary also when the user resizes the browser.

    Although I keep just simple with CSS is better. I don't understand why a preloader is not what allows some CSS work unless the SWF is actually changing the size.

    An example of a JavaScript function using jQuery that ExternalInterface might be called to reposition the SWF, assuming the SWF file has the id = "MainSWF":

    JavaScript

    $(document) .ready (function)

    {

    resize the listener

    $(window) .resize (function () {AlignElements() ;});

    Make sure SWF is absolute positioned

    $('#MainSWF').css({'position':'absolute'});

    call it to begin

    AlignElements();

    });

    function AlignElements()

    {

    Use the top/left properties to align SWF

    var left = Math.round (($(window) () - $('MainSWF').width () .width / 2) + "px";

    Var high = Math.round (($(window) () - $('MainSWF').height () .height / 2) + "px";

    $('#MainSWF').css({'left':left,'top':top});

    }

    AS:

    LIKE, called SWF after preloading

    ExternalInterface.call("saveglobalscore",score) ("AlignElements");

    Make sure you download and load jQuery into your pages, so it is available or not working. There are a lot of other JavaScript frameworks you'll love more or are together lighter on the loading of the basic page for such things. Looking around doesn't hurt.

  • The poster image not centering in the browser

    My image of the poster (for display in IE8) is not centered in the browser window. This is the view as aligned with a big gap to the right of the image on the left. How can I fix it?

    Or I could (which I just discovered) just take my OAM file and place it in a page of Muse, thus ensuring that everything goes as it should.

    Thanks for chiming in well!

  • How to make a site fit in the browser window?

    How to make your project/site created flash catalyst to adapt to each browser window size?

    That means I want it adapts to the size of the window, because I don't want the browser to create scroll bars, since I have them inside my project...

    Flash Catalyst currently only supports applications with fixed dimensions.

    To add the resizability, you must wear your fire project on the generator. If you are interested in diving in this, here is an article on the subject:

  • Images of full size in the browser window?

    Hello

    I have problems trying to replicate a combination of things that I saw on a website (build in Adobe Muse). Web site - www.tatianapavlova.me

    I'm quite new to dream so please bear with me if it's all relatively simple substance. I looked through a few hours of YouTube videos and not managed to get close to an answer to my problem.

    I want to be able to reproduce the scalability of the slideshow, but also have the opportunity to see 'portfolio' of the Web site as soon as I start to scroll from the slide show, regardless of the size, I did my browser window.

    I've included a few screen grabs to illustrate my point a little better that I probably explained above. In IMG1 you will see that my browser window is about half the height of my screen, but as soon as I start scrolling down, I can see the whites of the portfolio section. IMG2 my browser window is almost the size of my screen, but I can still see only the background of slide show of images until I scroll down.

    I guess it's a kind of widget that needs to be added to the page to allow the slide show to do this, however as stated I don't know who he is.

    Once again, my apologies if this is relatively easy, I am new to the program.

    All the advice/help is welcome and appreciated

    Thank you!

  • Set the size of the browser window?

    Can Muse define the size of the browser window when it opens. It's that I want to resize it to a certain size, when it opens the browser window.  I know you can do it using javascript, but it would mean mucking with html/javascript files after publication. I want to know if Muse can do this for me.

    No, Muse is unable to do so. If it were, it might be "mucking around with JavaScript. And at a very general level, this is just a terrible idea. It's bad behavior and rude users to mess with their office meticulously arranged windows. Or in other words: it is the design of web sites for 10 years.

  • Size of browser window

    Is anyway that the size of the browser window that opens to a screen of viewer can be influenced? I think it is I would like that we initially only to see the content that I want to do and nothing else before you scroll down or click through to another page.  I understand that people can and resize windows once open, but just wondered.

    You can do this by using JavaScript, but it is generally considered very rude and annoying nor will it always work because even with JavaScript enabled, the user can delete exactly this kind of operations. You should think about another way to present your content as covering the parts you want to hide from the start with an additional layer by using the ToolTip widget, so you can click away.

  • I have centered on site in the browser windows, now IE centres all the content of all pages

    I'm trying to balance my Web site pages in the browser windows adding < div align = "center" > just below the opening of the body tag and < / div > just before the closing body tag.

    I have serverside includes nav, footer and header.  The first thing I noticed was the buttons on the nav bar do not align more left, but only in Internet Explorer.

    Now, I see that IE is centering all the content of all pages.  What should do?  the Web site is http://aromaforhealth.com

    I'm using tables and do not have much knowledge about using server-side includes or code.  So, be specific.  Thank you very much.

    Your CSS is missing an end support and that's why he messed up your pages.

    In addition, the width of your page must be wider than the larger object on your pages.

    Try the following code exactly as shown here:

    Body {width: 780px; margin: 0 auto ;}}

  • Full screen swf don't auto-size until the browser window is resized

    Hi all
    I posted my test here at http://www.urbanlinx.com/Test.swf.
    I have 4 MCs in the film. A header, content box (Center), footer and background image.
    When the browser is set to scale the background will scale proportionally to the widow and maintains its proportions.
    My problem: when the clip is loaded first, the background is not resized until the browser to resize manually by the user.
    Is there a code I can add that will check the size of the window prior to the loading of the movie?

    My code is attached.

    Special thanks in advance.

    PS: If you know a way to do this with a cleaner code, help would be greatly appreciated... If it is already the correct code... Thanks to all the people in the community who taught me :)

    Well right after that a whole bunch of tracks and errors as much as I found the resize code is not like code reposition. Tried another code to reposition and its working great. It is also much smoother during resizing.

    Here is the code I use. Basically the bottom scales proportionally to the browser window, keeps its ratio and scales of the Center. If anyone has any advice on how to do it more easily if you please drop me a line.

  • Impossible to center the Web page in the browser window!

    Hello! I have searched and tried almost everything to Center my Web page in the browser window, but it does not work!

    This is the page: www.claudechalhoub.com. I want that page is centered regardless of the size of browser window!

    I have included the following code in my html code:

    < style type = "text/css" >

    {body
    text-align: center; / * For the IE6.
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    min-width: 770px;
    background-image: url(pictures/lastimage.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-color: #000;
    do-family: "Palatino Linotype", "Book Antiqua", Palatino, serif;
    color: #FFF;
    make-style: normal;
    }
    {#wrapper}
    Width: 770px;
    Auto margin: 0;
    text-align: left;
    }
    ...
    < / style >

    And then I realized:

    < body >

    < div id = 'wrapper' >
    < div id = "ap_text" > "the beauty of the music of Claude Chalhoub, is that it is not 'new' at all. This sounds familiar, even if you have never listened to music Arabic (or classical music) at all. As if it had always been there. It is as natural as breathing. "And it's this great art is all about - what makes the difficult seem easy." < / div >

    ...

    < / div > <! - close the tag div wrapper - >

    < / body >

    I don't know what the problem of not working!

    Any guidance?

    Your background image for the "body" tag contains the image that you used in it also. It's a bad habit. Just use a background image wide 5px and use it in your body background tag. Repeat with horizontally to fill your screen.

    Put your photo in a DIV inside the 'wrapper' div position it accordingly.

    In addition, you used an "absolute" on all items positioning on your website. Their position relative to the tag parent for best results.
