  How to fix Zlib.dll errors Important: do not download zlib.dll from a website "Download DLL. There are several reasons why a DLL file download is a bad idea . If you need a copy of zlib.dll, it is better to get it from its original, legitimate source.

  Note: Start Windows in Safe Mode to complete one of the following steps if you are unable to access Windows normally because of the zlib.dll error.

  1. Restore zlib.dll from the trash . The simplest zlib.dll "missing" file to the fact that you deleted by mistake.

     If you think you've accidentally deleted zlib.dll but you already emptied the Recycle Bin, you can collect zlib.dll with a program of free file recovery .

     Important: Recovering a deleted copy of zlib.dll with a file recovery program is a smart idea if you are convinced that you have deleted the file yourself, and that it was working properly until you did.

  2. Run a scan for virus/malware from your entire system . Some zlib.dll errors may be related to a virus or other infection of malicious software on your computer that has damaged the DLL file. It is even possible that the zlib.dll error you see is related to a hostile program who is posing as the file.

  3. Use the system restore to undo recent system changes . If you suspect the zlib.dll error was caused by a change to an important file or a configuration, restore the system could solve the problem.

  4. Reinstall the program that uses the zlib.dll file . If the DLL zlib.dll error occurs when you use a particular program, reinstall the program should replace the file.

     Important: Do your best to do this next step. Reinstall the program that provides the zlib.dll file, if possible, is a likely solution to this DLL error.

  5. To update the drivers for hardware devices that may be related to zlib.dll. If, for example, you receive an error "the file zlib.dll is missing" when you play a video game in 3D, try to update the drivers for your video card .

     Note: File zlib.dll may or may not be related to video cards - it was just an example. The key here is very attentive to the context of the error and troubleshoot accordingly.

  6. Roll back a driver to a previously installed version if zlib.dll errors started after the update of a particular hardware driver.

• Run the sfc/scannow command System File Checker to replace the missing or damaged zlib.dll file copying. This DLL file is provided my Microsoft, the System File Checker tool should restore it.

• Install the available Windows updates . Many service packs and other patches replace or update some of the hundreds of distributed Microsoft DLL files on your computer. File zlib.dll could be included in either of these updates.

• Test your memory and then test your hard drive . I left the majority of troubleshooting equipment at the final stage, but memory and hard drive of your computer are easy to test components are more probable that could cause zlib.dll errors because they do not.

  You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

  You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

  At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

  And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

  Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

  Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

  Very frustrating because what I really do is keep my drivers up to date so I can use my machine to what I need to use it for and keep it healthy and maintained.  I thought really what one simple question, i.e. connect HP official website, download the drivers, install them and continue my life.

  I have added, when I download the other software updates of the pre installed HP support assistant, it downloads things well but does not install them.  However my main concern in this post in particular is the drivers for my graphics card and the modem etc.  I tried this new temporarily disable my firewall for my safety see if it's the reason, but no, she didn't always.

  Can someone help me find drivers for my computer officially HP (not a questionable site) so I can keep my computer updated and heathy please.
