Webutil without JInitiator

Hello
We run Application Server 10.1.2 (HP - UX). Our clients are running Windows XP.

Do we really need the JInitiator for installing Webutil? Is it possible to install Webutil with only the Sun machine?

Wolfram

Hello

These 2 things are independent. The JInitiator plugin needed to run the forms applet's whene Webutil is a JavaBean-PL/SQL library to expand the capabilities of forms on the client computer.
You are not required to install the Webutil stuff, but you need a plugin JInitiator or the Sun Java plug-in.

    You can see this article of Francis, which explains how to use the form with the plugin from Sun.

  • how get rid of webutil configuration

    I modified a 6i form to use webutil without jacob to write a file using client_text_io. Large.

    then I went to a second form that was very similar to the first. Now, the second form puts up a window right when the

    form begins on "webutil information."

    I don't know what happened to cause that. I don't want to. No idea how to get rid of it?

    Yes found. Webutil process somehow makes the webutil block before all the other blocks that are already there.

    So, if you do not have "first navigation block" of the form of the correct block, focus goes to the webutil block and

    cause this window appears. Unhappy webutil made the first block, but she is doing this.

  • webutil question

    If I put that it works:

    ... Forms/frmservlet? config = webutil & form = webutil_demo_no_ole

    If I put it it does not work:

    ... Forms/frmservlet? config = webutil & form = myform

    So what's the problem? From formsweb.cfg:

    [webutil]

    WebUtilArchive = frmwebutil.jar

    WebUtilLogging = off

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilDispatchMonitorInterval = 5

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    Archive = frmall.jar

    lookAndFeel = oracle

    ColorScheme = boussif

    It is an effort to run webutil without the stuff of ole jacob.jar to use client_text_io.

    The error I get is frm-40734 when it tries to do client_text_io.

    Nevermind I found it.

    Missed me the Group of objects.

    It seems that to convert an old style text_io form to the shape of client_text_io webutil you must

    1. attach the library

    so you see attached libraries, webutil

    2. the subclass the DLO. One way to do it. Open the webutil_demo_no_ole form and your new form.

    Try to drag the groups of objects, object Webutil to groups of objects on your form area. Then it will ask you to subclass

    and I suppose that respond you to the subclass.

    Did you put the webutil.jar in your/forms/java-folder? And do you have your put in the archive_jini tag in the formsweb.cfg?

  • Train with webutil works with the browser, but not with webstart JNLP 12 c

    Hello

    I set up forms and reports suite 12 c according to the instructions and I'm testing my forms updated since version 10 g.

    In some forms, I use webutil.

    I can run forms without webutil with the browser or java web start (everything works fine).

    I have problems with the forms use webutil tha, they work very well with the browser, but not with java web start.

    When I run forms with webutil and webstart I see all white and the "crash" application: I must leave because other forms without webutil also do not work.

    Here is my config in formsweb.cfg:

    [Appws] <-start java web

    form = nomeform

    Archive = frmall.jar, frmicons.jar

    WebUtilArchive = jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    basejnlp = webutil.jnlp

    What could be the problem?

    Gianpaolo

    Remove Appws:

    Archive = frmall.jar, frmicons.jar

    WebUtilArchive = jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    Add frmicons.jar and jacob.jar to $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java/extensions.jnlp.

    and try again.

    Concerning

  • webutil read file function finds the file on the application server

    Hello

    I want to select and read a file (possibly .pdf) and save it to the database.

    To achieve this, I:

    1) created a table, deltia (key primary aa, varchar2, blob, other columns... image_blob, filename)

    (2) created a block form of database based on the deltia table. The element of the "image_blob" column type is image

    and the image format is "tiff".

    (3) wrote the following piece of code to perform the selection of local file (successfully)

    Select the FUNCTION (i_FileFiltre IN Varchar2 default vDefFileExt)

    RETURN VARCHAR2

    IS

    vPath Varchar2 (128);

    vFileName Varchar2 (256);

    vFileFiltre Varchar2 (200): = i_FileFiltre;

    Begin

    vPath: = CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT. Get_Temp_Directory;

    vFileName: = WEBUTIL_FILE. FILE_OPEN_DIALOG

    (

    vPath,

    '',

    vFileFiltre,

    "Select the file to download.

    ) ;

    Return vFileName;

    END selection;

    The form above function call is:

    Declare

    vFileName Varchar2 (200);

    Begin

    vFileName: = PKG_File_Ops.Selection;

    If vFileName is not null then

    : eq_deltia_metakinhshs. Filename: = vFileName;

    End if;

    End;

    (4) wrote the piece of code to the game/place the file selected in the form element "image_blob", as following:

    client_image.read_image_file (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,)

    substr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename, instr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,-1)).

    "eq_deltia_metakinhshs.deltio_image");

    The call to the packaged procedure client_image.read_image_file does not work. It returns error

    "47109 - cannot locate the/u01/oracle/temp /... image file"

    In other words, the system will search to read the selected file locally on the server App.

    What can be the cause of this?

    With regard to the content of the webutil.cfg of the App Server. :

    # ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    # webutil.cfg - WebUtil default configuration file

    # ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    # This file contains all the configuration settings for webutil. These are some

    # divided according to the following sections:

    # 2. Installation options

    # 3. Upload a file and download Options

    # 1. Logging options side server for recording the log messages and errors

    # You must set logging.enabled to true to allow registration of mid-range. Without this

    logging of mid-range # will not be any PL/SQL or URL options

    # are provided to turn it on. Once recording is activated the other settings are

    # in-game.

    #

    # Details

    # -------

    # logging.file: sets the file name and location of the log file.

    This error indicates that your server is a unix platform: 47109-cannot locate image file/u01/oracle/temp /

    If it is correct, then your webutil.cfg is not been set correctly.  Entries for transfer.appsrv are in reference to the appsrv and not the client.  So you currently C:\temp which is a directory of Windows and not Unix.

    (2) Transfer.appsrv.Read.1 =c:\temp. It is already set.

    3) Transfer.appsrv.Write.1=c:\temp. It is already set.

  • WEBUTIL FRM 40734 internal error pl/sql

    Hello everyone

    I installed forms and reports 11g on a computer running Windows 7 with the webutil configuration, the I did it without a problem, then I did the forms of intalacion and reports on a computer with windows 8, but configure you webutil and run webutil_demo, I get the error FRM - 40734, appreciate the help with the solution of this error.

    If you have followed the steps, I mentioned in the order and he has not fixed the problem then I would recommend that you contact Support.  However, before that, I recommend the test scenario in a certified configuration.  If the problem does not recur in a certified configuration you can assume the cause is the result of the environment not certified and supported will not be able to help.  If the problem reoccurs in a certified configuration support should be able to help.  Once operate you in an environment certified before moving on to something else, you can do it yourself and at your own risk.

    About what the client option has, well, they will have to wait for Oracle to provide proof of their environment.  Otherwise, if they must not supported of Oracle while they can use whatever the configuration that they like.  In other words, use the product at your own risk, understand that configuration would not be entitled to the assistance of the Support of Oracle.

  • Webutil problem

    Dear,
    Before I used JInitiator, and everything is Ok.
    but change using JInitiator by Sun JRE, after I faced a webutil error:

    Oracle.Forms.webutil.file. FileFunctions bean not found. WEBUTIL_FILE. FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not be found

    Please, I beg you. help!

    If you are using JRE, then change these values in the file formsweb.cfg

    archive_jini = frmall_jinit.jar, frmwebutil.jar, Jacob.jar
    Archive = frmall.jar, frmwebutil.jar, Jacob.jar

    Add frmwebutil.jar, jacob.jar parameters as archive_jini & archive.

    Hopefully this will solve your problem.
