  • How to report bugs of rendering CSS browser WebView/BB?

    I have an app that bypasses the normally difficult radio button style html5 by cutting the real radio inside a rectangle 0,0,0,0, then using the CSS: before Pseudo selector to create a substitute radio button image using nothing more than CSS attributes. It works perfectly on every single desktop browser, I tested against (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera), each Android browser, I've tried (Chrome, Firefox, Opera) and the same Android browsers running on my Z10 via Cobalt (Chrome, Firefox, Opera), but on the browser BB10 and WebView (so-called WebKit based as Chrome and Opera) does not support the CSS style the : Pseudo-selector update to show that when the Group of option buttons has focus.

    When option buttons have the focus, it should look like this...

    But as I said, on the browser BB10 or WebView even with the development of radio buttons always look like the first example. On all other browsers (except iOS/Safari, which proves defective as browsers BB10) favouring option buttons look like the second example.

    Anyone where I can tell you something like that?

    In the immortal words of Emily Littela... never mind. Since the BB10 and WebView browser seem to ignore the: pseudo-selector developed, I thought that it was a CSS rendering problem, but it is not. The idea that led me to a solution, is that the same problem occurs on iOS Safari too. A little Google search on the oddities of Safari has revealed the real cause.

    It turns out that even if Safari, as the browser BB10 and WebView, are Webkit based, he manipulates not the focus of the element like all the other funds or Android mobile WebKit browsers. Based on certain types of HTML elements is not automatically set focus to this element. One of the element types that it affects is the radio input element that I use. Some devs online are speculating that avoids unnecessary popups of the keyboard to the iOS screen by typing some controls on a form, but does not say Apple.

    The solution is quite simple, just set the focus in the OnClick of the radio input element explicitly. In this way, by tapping the control will force the browser to focus control and if necessary: focus CSS will be applied...

    myRadioButton.focus();

    I use jQuery so my generic code to manage all the radio buttons to a page looks like this...

    $('input[type="radio"').click( function() {
        $(this).focus();
    });

    It is clear that BlackBerry browser and WebView work in the same way as iOS Safari because this code sets things there also. I don't know if someone else is bickering with this problem when you target the WebView or BB10 browser, but I thought I would post the solution, just in case.

  • Rendering html with the webview component problem

    Hello

    I have a big problem to render this page html with the webview component:

    < html >
    < head lang = "en" >
    < meta charset = ' UTF-8 ' >
    < title > Rotation PB< / title >
    < style type = "text/css" >
    { #myDivRotate }

    color: violet;
    background-color: #d8da3d;
       height: 200px;
       width: 300px;
    top of the margin: 20px;
    margin left:20px;
    -webkit-transform:perspective(400px) rotateX(30degrees)
    -webkit-backface-visibility:visible;
       }

    < / style >
    < / head >
    < body >
    < div id= "myDivRotate" >
    Cuckoo

    < / div >
    < / body >
    < / html >

    The problem comes from the "perspective" in - webkit-transform. No it's ok. But with this one, the result is different from a standard browser like chrome or safari.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you.

    PS: I can not download from Jpeg file...

    attributes css - webkit are not supported by JavaFX WebView.

    attributes css - webkit are not standard (for example, they are unlikely to work either in IE or Firefox).

    CSS transformations are currently experimental technology, usage that is not normalized in user agents.

    You can request this experimental technology by creating a feature request.

    If support for css transforms has been added to the Web format, he would use standardized for attributes and not names - webkit prefix names.

  • JavaFX WebView in case of failure of the hyperlinks on Tomcat

    I'm looking to integrate app JavaFX with JSP and Servlets, Web view and running on Tomcat.

    Opened directly in Firefox, hyperlinks in JSP below all work very well, both for the Oracle's Web site & my servlet ('/ testFX2' in the web.xml file).

    In addition, it runs locally (i.e. NOT by Tomcat), my application can instance a WebView view Oracle's Web site.

    After the deployment of Tomcat, however, WebView will be instance this JSP, but ties have no effect, even if the < form action... Submit > option makes links to very good Servlet (?)

    Can someone explain this behavior?

    {code}

    < %@page contentType = "text/html" pageEncoding = "UTF-8" % >

    <! DOCTYPE html >

    < html >

    < / head >

    < body >

    " < % @ taglib prefix = 'c' uri = ' http://Java.Sun.com/JSP/JSTL/core " %>

    the initials JSP < h1 > < / h1 >

    < a href = "< c:url value =" / testFX2 "/ >" > go Servlet < /a > < br > <!-works in Firefox, NOT in mode Web (?) ->

    < form action = "< c:url value =" / testFX2 "/ >" > <!-works! ->

    < table cellspacing = "5" border = "0" > < tr >

    < td align = "right" > Param: < table >

    < td > < input type = "text" name = 'firstParam' > < table > < /tr >

    < td > < br > < input type = "submit" value = "Submit" > < table > < /tr >

    < /table >

    < / make >

    < / body >

    < / html >

    {code}

    An unexpected, but easily remedied problem by signing the JAR project prior to deployment to Tomcat.

    Easy to do in NetBeans: project properties > deployment > request unlimited access (self-signed, while developing).

    If my JavaFX application connects now, through WebView/Tomcat, directly from JSP, servlets and external Web sites.

    After upgrading to "Sierra" (on late 2009 iMac) Google Spreadsheets seems to no longer work correctly - in Firefox: when I select a cell or attempt a transaction there are lo... delays NGOs - and I am informed that "script" is causing havoc!

    (Worksheets appear to work OK in Safari).

    Here's what happens: when I select a cell, I see the symbol of "Beach Ball". Shortly after, a (EU) dialog box appears - informing them that "a script is not responding" (or something similar - I use in Danish on the Mac).

    The remedies proposed are: "Debug", "Stop Script" or "continue".

    "Debug" presents the script (or part of it), but it is of no practical use. (Who knows how to fix an unknown script in a meaningful way?).

    "Stop Script" causes the 'Ball box' /Dialog (EU) of beach to reappear again and again.

    "Continuous" seems to remove the problem for the rest og the session - but the next time I open spread sheets I need to select 'Continue' once again!

  • Could not import Firefox bookmarks

    Using the last El Capitan (10.11.6) and Firefox 48.0.1.

    I have my favorites in Firefox and want to import them into Safari.

    I'm going on Safari, file / import of... / Firefox

    Select bookmarks, and then click OK

    It hangs for a while, and the CPU usage is 0%

    However, no imported Favorites appear in Safari.

    If I, instead, export as HTML in Firefox, I can import that uses the file / import of... / bookmarks HTML file.

    What I don't want is the 2nd option, because she simply creates a folder of bookmarks in Safari instead of map to good equivalents of Safari (toolbar, etc.)

    How can I go on Safari to recognize Firefox bookmarks in native mode?

    If the problem is still there, try to boot mode safe using your usual account to see if you can import.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

    10.6.8 using.  With Safari I can view the Apple start page.  OK, using Firefox.  What happens in the last 24 hours. How can I solve this?

    You can solve it using only not the OS X version 10.6, Apple Safari here on out!

    Over the years, there were no updating security for what be for OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard!

    This version of Safari is obsolete and has not been safe to use for many years.

    There is one more, last recommended Mozilla Firefox web browser update complete (worms) 48.0.0 that is always available, and probably will be more safe to use until the end of the year.

    You can use these versions of the ESR. Ignore the notes support educational/business.

  • How to add a link to a Web page directly on my firefox home page

    Safari has a function which, on their homepage, are small boxes that are links to Web sites, you go often to which is so useful. Can I do this with Firefox? I don't want to type in my goto sites every time, especially if I go to them every day.
    Thank you!!

    Fred mentioned using the bookmarks toolbar. See this article on this subject.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/bookmarks-toolbar-display-favorite-websites

    I don't use Safari in a good number of years, so I don't know what functions it has. The default Firefox Start Page / Home Page is incorporated into the code of Firefox and has no configurable element of the user where the user can add anything; However, it loads information from a secure server of Mozilla that changes from time to time.

    But you can define what you want to be "your" home page that appears whenever you open Firefox relatively easily.
