  There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

  If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

• Weird page number

  I add the page number in the master page, but it shows weird number like that.

• Weird page jump problem

  Hi guys, I made a site in dreamweaver here: http://cjhildrethconsultancyltd.yorkcreative.co.UK

  It is all aligned nicely until you click on the Contact link at the top and then page moves downwards and the top buttons are no longer visible! I don't see why a reason any in dreamweaver or code (it is always aligned the same in dreamweaver)

• Problems with Windows Live Mail send and receive e-mails

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and I used Windows Live Mail 2012 (WLM) for many years without any problems, and I prefer it much to Outlook.com. I have my own personal e-mail account and three other accounts available in WLM. I can send and receive emails from three other accounts, but my own account keeps giving the error message:

  Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Clive Read.
  Server error: 4402
  Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx '.
  Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x8DE00002

  That being said, I can actually send emails, but cannot receive them-weird!

  I spent several hours internet research solutions, including Microsoft pages, forums, etc and later of the end of "solutions" offered in 2013. Many of the suggestions I've tried, without success. I ran other controls have shown that initpki.dll is absent, but I don't know if it's possible causes and, if this is the case, my attempts to locate, re - save or download one have failed.

  My version of WLM doesn't have a "Tools" link, and I can't seem to find where the incoming and outgoing port settings. It gets really tedious, so I'd be grateful for all solutions to update to my problem and perhaps an explanation as to what may have caused it in the first place.

• Spry Accordion with strange behavior in IE

  I just upgraded to version 1.6.1 of Spry Accordion on a site I'm working on. Works fine in Firefox, Safari, and Opera, but I get a page weird flash in IE6 and IE7 every time I change between panels. The page flashes and seems to zero with the development somewhere in the middle of the page (if the browser is smaller than the content size). • R ad-somware-is there a cure?

  "R-ad-somware" is my play-on-words for ransomware, due to recent events. I regularly visit and participate in a web forum hosted by Proboards, and lately (last days), the host redirects the active forum to ads that don't have that one active button - the button 'Install'-'later' visible on-screen or off button 'Cancel' or 'download '. At first, I could close the page/window/tab - there is no 'back' to the original page navigation, but close the page worked (meaning he had to reopen and close the session in the forum in order to continue where you left).

  Today, the announcement that hijacked the page was for MacKeeper resumed, and as indicated above, there is no other choice than to download and install MacKeeper. I know all about MacKeeper and never click on any link to the distributor of malware or basically any "announcing" that appears on a Web page I visit, or in my email, etc. But not only does MacKeeper page won't let me return to my previous page / forum or close this window, uninstalled Chrome so I ended up having to force quit to escape. It was like ransom-ware without a request to call a phone number to "solve" the problem, or to download the 'hotfix' and pay hundreds of $$ for the privilege. In this case, the 'ransom' seems to be download MacKeeper and have your search engines have diverted, as well as any other bad this criminal organization for your computer.

  I don't have a "user account" with Proboards so I can't even report it to them. I also followed the steps to check and clear all malware/adware software that might have been surreptitiously installed on my computer in the background... and my computer does not junk.

  Is it possible to keep the garbage on a site web servers hosted in your browser hijacking? (Less outright from the forum who is affected and never visit again,?)

  I am removing Chrome from my computer because it has serious problems-'flash plug-in' crashes constantly - and is no longer supported for my OS (10.6.8). I use Safari for the first time in two years because it caused me headaches in the past... but Firefox and Chrome are more suitable.

  On 10.6.8 your options are limited. Many web sites does not work in this old version of Safari. Installation of the latest Chrome or Firefox, it's something I would normally say. More recent versions of Mac OS X / Safari avoid pop ups from hijacking your web browser completely.

  You could try ScamZapper (https://sites.google.com/site/appleclubfhs/downloads/scamzapper-info) which was developed by another contributor albums here at Apple support communities.

• Last update of Firefox

  I manage a website (melissachappell.com), which features articles in pdf in an iframe in the html page. After the last update (08/07/2015) PDF is now downloading from my download folder instead of opening on the page as expected. I don't like it because 1) it clog my file downloads and 2) the weird page now because the iframe is empty. Is it possible to change this option to open the PDF file on the page instead (as before)?

  Have you looked at the section of the Knowledge Base on the screens of weird page? I would also try to clear the cache and cookies. Which works great.

• installed measureit, icon appears.how can I use it to measure?

  MeasureIt installed without any problems. Icon is on the toolbar. I tried right - and - left clicks, pressed icon and grew. May not know how to measure part any of the screen. Looked MeasureIt page & forum, don't find any indication on how to use it. Thanks in advance.
