Weird URL munging
I am not sure that it is a matter of PeopleTools or something weird in managing HTTP or HTML rendering. The problem occurs in FireFox 3.6.13 and IE 7.0.5730, so unless both use the same rendering engine, I am inclined not not to blame the browser or HTML.Some time before, I ran against errors when you use the GeneratexxxURL functions with key / value pairs. I never solved the problem, instead of taking a different tactic when I add a query string to the URL. An example of this approach is as follows:
& LinkURL = GenerateScriptContentRelURL (Portal % node, Record.WEBLIB_EV_REV, Field.LSC_EVAL_REVIEW, "FieldFormula", "IScript_TabulateQAs"). « ? Subj ="| & SubjOut | "& sect = | & SectionOut | "& crse = | & CrseOut;
You can see that I'm generating a URL to an IScript and then adding a query string to the URL. I can write the URL in an anchor tag. The expected URL might look like:
http://so-VM-por-Web-01t.Lonestar.edu:8870/PSC/pordev/employee/EMPL/s/WEBLIB_EV_REV.LSC_EVAL_REVIEW.FieldFormula.IScript_TabulateQAs?Subj=BUSG & sect = test & CRSE = 2301
What it actually looks like is:
http://so-VM-por-Web-01t.Lonestar.edu:8870/PSC/pordev/employee/EMPL/s/WEBLIB_EV_REV.LSC_EVAL_REVIEW.FieldFormula.IScript_TabulateQAs?Subj=BUSG§=test & CRSE = 2301
Somehow, the "& sect" part of the query string is converted to «§» I am currently this internalization as a weird bug in URL encoding. No matter in what order that place keys, so it is not that it is the result of the juxtaposition of characters. Furthermore, the topic, the section and the course are all displayed in a table containing links, and they display correctly, indicating that this munging is not performed at the level of database or data recovery. (I currently develop more experiments to test this hypothesis.)
No idea what I'm against here? Given that the function call does not initially appear, I am not inclined to blame PeopleTools in itself, but I strongly suspect that this is due to a bug in PHP. There may be a known issue?
It is not the tools or PHP. It's a built in html character entity.
& sect maps to the § Unicode character.
Try & section or something else instead.

OK as States of questions, I've upgraded to Windows 10 and improved my Firefox as recommended and now when I put a request in the search box of Firefox it takes me to the screen that allows me to choose the site that I really want, so instead of going directly to this site, the latter appears in the URL line :
I used "example" instead of the name of the site that was really there (the site I was going to) (I know, clever of me, right?), but it's not just with this site. I Kaspursky security and have referred the matter to them as well, but I don't think that they are also responsive (or beautiful) like you guys. Thank you very much in advance, it feels very similar to a tracker URL, since the 'Tracker' word is the first word. But I must say that they are not very secret to this topic, if that's the case! Thank you once again the Sid
A browser is a computer program used to display web pages. A browser usually has a set of pre-defined behaviors, such as sending your requests to search to a specific site. Usually these 'default' can change if you wish. There is a lot about Firefox that you can customize.

How do I change my address bar, so it does not give me the search options?
Recently, I installed a toolbar called Freecorder because I needed to record audio for something on the internet. Install this thing also installed a search engine, and it has changed the default search to something else. I changed it back to topic: config, but now when I go to my address bar, I don't see is more most of my registered URLs. I have to click several times to get the drop down box, and when I do, it looks like this: http://i1338.photobucket.com/albums/o698/admiralhip/BRlwXCLCYAEAQjk_zps565a01cd.png
Icons of different Web sites are next to these weird URL and if I click on that it will bring me to the site that the icon is for. I was hoping that someone could tell me what to do to solve this problem without completely uninstall firefox or restart all factory default. Thank you.
Resolved, just uninstall the toolbar and it fixed the issue.

How do I add a link to an interactive svg using the common edge library
Hello
I've been playing with this wonderful common edge interactive SVG tutorial
My question is: how to add an external link "url" to an interactive svg using the common edge library?
The communes of the edge example file:
http://edgedocks.com/market/interactive-SVG-example-project-edge-Commons
Video tutorial of common edge:
http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=4UEB6gaLKuw
I adapted this tutorial for an interactive map, http://madudesign.com/works/france/ , everything is going well until I could not find link to a particular url on each part of the map area.
I managed to find a way to change the colors on the different parts of the map on the mouse and the mouse, but I'm not very comfortable with JavaScript, because I don't use it every day...
I tried to access a url over the layer through the event onclick (event.target.id) and Illustrator to a simple url
working onboard and the publication on the browser the link sends me a weird url line by replacing the slashes the original url ' / / ' by '_x2F_' and I must have misunderstood the correct line of JavaScript to open this link from there...
for example on my real example " " http://madudesign.com/works/France/ "
the top of the page first region of France is normally a link to " " http://www.Google.com ' VAT and it returns "http:_x2F__x2F_ www.google.com" the full path to the file too... .
I don't know how to get around this trick, and for each region, an own particular event id link target of the svg...
Thanks for any help
mast
link to my animated edge if necessary file:
http://madudesign.com/works/France/carte_de_france.zip
I got a response from the municipalities of edges dream team and I am very grateful:
«The problem you pushed was that you did not include a valid URL so far.» We didn't know if you want to include in the SVG file or if you want to implement the functionality to animate within edge. We found a solution for this one, with a simple switch in the js code:
You must type the appropriate URL of course for all cases. »
I have to share the final result:

And the zipped project file:

Keyboard's weird and URL disappears from the address bar
Recently, I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer and had to reinstall Firefox. Since the new reinstall I have two strange problems in Firefox.
1. the keyboard or keys jump a lot from the window of the address bar in FF, and it usually does not allow me to finish an entire word or phrase.
2. whenever I type in and go to a URL after the URL address charge disappears from the address bar.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 26: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.

Their is a strange space on the URL bar between the URL itself and the back button
Here is a screenshot: http://prntscr.com/1x5zuz
Its really annoying... Help, please
This can be caused by the presence of a disabled extension that uses this space to display the data.
You have the SimplePass fingerprint reader?
If this is the case then you must install and enable this extension, or disable this software.

I opened a new window in the main window of Firefox. The new window is nothing like on the main window of Firefox 4 Beta. And when I have tabs in a new window, the URL doesn't change. Infact, it changes nothing in the tabs. It remains that if I change it manually.
I do not encounter this problem in the main window of Firefox. If I open a new window of hand. Why is this?
Take a look at the screenshots I did.
You may also notice the tab I'm the and the URL is displayed in the image of the new window. You can see what I'm talking about here.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
See:
Create a new profile exclusively for version 4.0 beta and create a shortcut on the desktop with Pei 'profile' attached to the target to launch this profile.

Weird characters added to the URL string.
So, while I use ColdFusion at work, I also use it on my personal website, where I host a blog and photos in the gallery.
Whenever I click on a message or a photo from the Gallery, I noticed that the URL is added with a kind of token.
For example, this:
becomes this:
http://mysite/post/2224#.VmKaAipG_0
It allows for some URL channels very ugly when I paste something to someone.
My host is using CF9 (I think) and Linux. Is there an obvious reason that that? I use the session management and cookies to the client in Application.cfc, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Do you use a javascript like AddThis plugin on your website? Using firefox in seeing these links?
I know that addthis puts params like this on the URL for analytics. -See more here what is Address Bar sharing Analytics?

Weird article URL in Layout sensitive after the upgrade to 11.0.3
The following problem hit my RoboHelp after the upgrade of the v11 for the latest patch 3:
When I generate a reactive HTML5 layout, section URL get oddly put in shape in a browser (tried Firefox and Chrome). This doesn't seem to be project-specific, because the same problem occurs when I generate even plans for the out-of-the-box standards such as Salesbuilder2 and EmployeeCare2.
Here's what happens:
For example, a link to:
file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/introduction.htm
Opens the URL in the following browser:
file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FIntroduction.htm
or, say, a link to:
file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/Employee_Care/HR_Policies/attendance.htm
Open as:
file:///D:/!!!/EmployeeCare/index.htm#t=Employee_Care%2FHR_Policies%2FAttendance.htm
I hope that the screenshot below illustrates what I mean:
The links still work, but I really like my human readable URL. When I restore the previous version of HR, the problem goes away. Any ideas what could be the cause of this?
Thank you!
The cause of this behavior is the way that RoboHelp 11.0.3 manages the output. In order to have consistent navigation pane and avoid FAKE reload on every change of page, Adobe has switched to iFrames. #t = tells the output of the topic appears. And if you use the search, you will see the URL changes again.
Since it's the layout of way until 11.0.3 from, you will have to live with it or go to HTML5 Multiscreen (where you can use a sensitive layout). Multivision HTML5 still works in the 11.0.2. way.
Kind regards
Willam

When I visit certain websites, instead of the URL for the site appearing in my address bar, I get this long string of weird looking for icons that extend all the way through to the address bar in the search bar. I have never seen this before until a few months ago. When I click the icon on the far left inside the address bar I get this message: "this website does not provide identity information.
Is it possible to get rid of these icons and have the site URL appears in the place?
Hello
The leftmost button is the Site identity button. For more information about this, please see:
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the other icons disappear. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
If these icons are still there on your address in safe mode bar, please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How to make a screenshot of my problem?
Once you have done so, attach the file to screen shot saved to your post on the forum by clicking on the button Browse... under the box to post your reply . This will help us to visualize the problem.
Thank you!

Help does not work, the url links do nothing
I have windows 8.1.
When in thunderbird, I press F1 and nothing happens.
Even clicking on the Release Notes or the help contents.
The same thing happens when I click on a link to a URL in a received email.
I went through all the help on the net and none doesn't change anything.
I use Firefox and it is set as my default browser.OK, I found the problem.
Here is the solution suggestedin https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hyperlinks-in-messages-not-working
Make sure that no application is specified for the HTTP content type
In Thunderbird, you can specify an action that occurs when you click on the different types of attachments and content online. If the action for the HTTP / HTTPS content type is broken, this will prevent the links to open correctly.
If the operating system default browser is specified correctly as described above, it is not necessary to specify an action for the HTTP / HTTPS content type. To check this setting, select Tools | Options (Windows) or Thunderbird | Preferences (Mac and Linux). Click on the attachments page. If HTTP or HTTPS are listed in the column to the Content Type, remove the action or make sure that the specified action is correct.
Even with its value (by default) Firefox, it does not work.
If you reset it asking when you say to use Firefox and click the box to remember... area so it will work and to remember. The option looks the same in Thunderbird / Options / attachments / incoming, but it behaves differently. (must love microsoft eager, eager to Internet Explorer by default so that they can track everything you do)
Also delete the entries for http and Https also works as well as deleting the file mimeTypes.rdf together.
Can't really tell if the problem lies in the mimetypes.rdf layout I have or how Windows 8.1 manages permissions (which seem to be a little weird with a strange "account unknown" created if Firefox is installed).

While I was surfing teamofgreekz.com on Safari 9.1 on my Macbook Air Yosemite (10.10.5), I received this strange window pop-up that follows:
«There is no set application to open the moat bridge URL: gvr:MoatSuperV22._i_.b.u.»
Eight more windows with the same message popped into the estate. I rebooted my Macbook immediately afterwards without pressing any of its options (cancellation, change in Document, search App Store), so I wasn't able to get a screenshot, only the message. A quick search on Google for this supposed URL does not work, but after searching the substrings in it (moat-bridge, greater Vancouver and MoatSuperV22), it could be related to Minecraft. Weird, since I don't have Minecraft on my computer and there is no advertising associated with Minecraft on the teamofgreekz.com site.
I was not able to reproduce this weird pop up, but I'm writing to find out if someone has encountered this and has any input. Thank you.
Hello..
If this happens again, delete cookies from Safari.
In your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab, then click: delete all data Web site
Then exit and restart Safari.

I don't see the overview of URL that you get when you hover over a link. Why?
Until today, when I flew over my cursor a link, a preview of the URL of the link appears at the bottom left of my screen, above the Start button (I use Windows Vista). Currently when I hover over a link, no preview appears, so I do not know the web address where I'm going when I click on the link. I thought that maybe this was due to the update to Firefox 19.0, but my friends who have also updated say they can still see the URL preview. Did somehow turn off the preview of the URL by chance? If so, how can I turn it back on? If this is not the case, why is it gone?
I still see the URL previews! I don't know exactly why; He could have just a weird blip on my end. Thanks for your help!

So, after I deleted a bunch of files/applications today (computer threatened to crash), Firefox has started to do some weird things. Backwards navigation is not possible; the back navigation arrow is grayed out. Also, when I start typing a URL, it suggests is more the rest of it, either in the URL bar itself, or in a drop-down list (it is used to do both). 16.0.2 is the current version? It's him that I kept, I deleted the others. Recently, I had the announcement that Apple is not support my operating system, Mac OS X 10.5.8, I don't know if that's relevant. How can these things be fixed?
I use Windows, but I can suggest a number of things you can try.
1. right click on your toolbar, click Customize. Click on the button "Restore Default Set".
2. go in the Firefox menu > help > troubleshooting information. In the tab which opens later, click on "reset Firefox".
