  This is the error report Windows tell you that there is a problem with an application.  look in the event viewer to find which.   Usually the current application running when you see the error

  For me, the message is clear.
  You tried to install a software that has been detected as malware.
  The screenshot provides no details of the application that could send this pop-up message so it of difficult to say anything about this tool.

  But generally, the software should run in the background in order to send the notification. To check in your right corner (in the taskbar) what applications run.
  You should then see what tool to send this message.

• Pavilion 17-F001dx: my laptop backlight is something really weird + hang on restart/shutdown

  This laptop is by far (on paper) more powerful than my previous E1 AMD processor powered notebook; but since I got it (it is refurbished, but in the warantey of 90 days as I've had it less than 2 weeks) it was much less responsive than my laptop prior. I get weird popups as follows:

  

  And even the tabs in internet explore crashing and reloading for the basic sites like the google home page.

  Every time I restart there are several applications, I've never seen on my laptop prior "prevents me to restart"; including just a file Explorer window and there are always abnormally slow restart and shutdown. He also takes his sweet time of mode "Eve".

  I have a HP OfficeJet Pro L7590 (all-in-One) linked to 2 desktop computers and computer 1 laptop.  On one of the desktops, I continually get a weird popup.  A simple white box

  There is no logo or stylized text to indicate that it is in fact of HP.

  I've updated once (the first time, I got the message), but it just be deleted ALL of my printers on the computer - it was.  I was able to get their due return restart to recover.

  This weird popup happens several times a day.

  1. is it a HP update play

  2. How can I disable it and prevent it from revealing all the time.

  Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

  Try to uninstall the HP update your computer software and see if the pop-ups still occurs.

• Cookie of Safari of pop - up + questionable Adware - help!

  I just got this weird popup in Safari (a background tab has been opened) and when I went to that, that's what part of it looked like (screenshot):

  

  I thought that it is a scam and immediately closed the tab. TBQH, it I freaked out a little because I started to have Windows 98 déjà vu and have always known this on a Mac I have never go on sites randomly and frequently check the security updates (adobe, browser system., etc.).

  Anyway, I went in Safari preferences and decided to take a look in the cookies where I came across this cookie to: infection - system - virus (dot) com

  Question: Should I delete this cookie? What in the world? Am I infected or has malware? I'm worried I have a virus and receive more concerned at the moment. Help!

  FYI: I'm on Mavericks (latest updates installed), Safari 9.1.1, on a Macbook Pro (mid-2012).

  In response to my original question - if I understand post Linc Davis on one post someone to another upthread - I need to remove/reset my browser cookies (and history) in Safari preferences. I hope that is correct and not a sign of malware, etc., hiding in my system?

  That apply to the Mavericks by using Safari 9.1.1 (last) or only at El Capitan and Yosemite OS x?

  Should I still run some kind of scan or antivirus on my macbook pro just to be safe? If Yes, where and what?

  I am running XP Home edition on a satellite 1800-712.

  The computer behaves very suspiciously, closing (disc according to the error messages or bad driver) and weird popups appear from nowhere (your computer is damaged - visit such or such website and we'll fix it for you) without me even a browser.

  I reinstalled XP with repeatedly Toshiba recovery disks, but it does not help. The virus or anything like that is always there. What should I do? Everything is saved. I just want to do a thorough cleaning of the hard drive, but the recovery discs don't seem to be able to.

  If the reinstallation of the system with the recovery CD does not help, the problem must be somewhere else, but not on the software on the hard drive. Maybe the hard drive itself has a problem, and the software cannot be read properly. Sorry, but at the moment I have no idea better.

• BlackBerry Smartphones full Priv Meltdown last 12 hours

  In the last 12 hours, my Priv went from really good work to a complete state that does not work. Here is what happened:

  Phone gets hotter.

  Then all the mistakes happened. All the following crashed:

  * com.android.phone

  Phone to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Purchase battery of 132% per hour.

  Restarted. All accounts does not not in the message center. Not getting emails. Messages I send does not. No idea what they didn't.

  Call 114 degrees Fahrenheit.

  Tried:
  * Clearing cache hub
  * Deletion of the data Hub
  * Compensation phone cover

  Decided to uninstall the updates of hub to force a reupdate. Now, I think I have old Hub. GP store do not update now offer. Even in the search for BlackBerry Limited. Shows updated.

  Phone lost all the features. Complete collapse. I have screenshots of all of this, in addition to a bug report, if a BlackBerry person wants to help. I call you not regular customer support line. Honestly, they are just too clueless. My next step is the reset factory and then back.

• E-mail suddenly is seen in initial popup but is not in the Inbox

  I very well - received email in my Thunderbird inbox - this morning. But now, suddenly, from about 14:30, I'll see an email in Thunderbird - seeing this little window that briefly previews the e-mail message - but then when I go into my Inbox to find this email, it is not there! I did a test and it's the same thing... I see it in the popup as a first step, but then there is in my Inbox. I thought initially perhaps it was showing in a weird situation in my Inbox, because of this business of wire that I don't understand, but when I do a search for email which is theoretically, I'm not.   Oops, never mind - I answered my own question! My incoming e-mails disappear simply - they were filtering in my mailbox a that has a filter set up to bring certain e-mail inside. I don't know why the emails (all? some, not sure) would all of a sudden there, but now I removed the filter and box the letters that the emails were suddenly get deflected in, and now the e-mails seem to come very well... At least my test for me e-mail now goes into my Inbox as expected. If there's a software glitch behind what happened, it would be wise to consider the issue.

• Annoying problem with popups on Safari (iOS)

  So I guess I have to call in Help: since a few days, I have an annoying popup the problem that prevents me to properly use Safari on my iPhone 5 (9.2.1). It's one of those 'you have won an iPhone 6 press OK to continue' - scams and it just won't go away.

  When I visit the seemingly random sites, it appears. I deleted my web data, even deleted all the data from my iPhone, but nothing done. When I disable Java it stops, but the popup returns as soon as I turn it on again. I have not downloaded new applications in the past that a few weeks am visiting questionable Web site or weird; It seems just to appear randomly on sites like Meteoritic.

  Do you have popups disabled? Settings > Safari > block Popups or is that what you mean when you say disable Java?

• No popup blocking BB10 app

  The environment: ripple 0.9.1.0 running chrome on Mac OS X 10.7.5 23.0.1271.101.

  Question: any time I do a Javascript alert() and confirm() app completely freezes. Once I dismiss the dialog box, I can no longer click on anything whatsoever. The only thing I can do is drag on my device and close the application. Here's what's weird: I wanted to debug this so I compiled the application with the indicator "Activate Web Inspector" is enabled. When I run the application on the device, a popup appears that gives me the port number and IP address where can I consult the debugging tools. It's after that I reject this popup the app is also frozen. I can't do anything except to close the application.

  Never mind. After posting, I realized that I didn't have the latest version of the SDK. I downloaded and recompile the latest application (gold) SDK and everything is fine now.

• Computer freezes and popups

  Recently I had a problem with two questions:

  1. Freezing point
     The computer (no browser) crashes sometimes, especially during internet browsing. He returned to normal after a minute or two.
  2. Pop-up windows
     Some weird pop-up as rich windows - countries.pl and big - countries.pl opens in Microsoft Internet Explorer desktop mode.   I also used the Eusing Free registry cleaner to clean my registry. I use Windows Defender as my antivirus.

  I found the solution myself and would like to share it to anyone familiar with the same problem.

  I noticed that the theme colors are the same in the popup pages, and under the page was written "generated per TEU. This appeared as a malware for me and I went to check in the control panel. I found a "Easy Video Player" software that I had not installed. Uninstalled and deleted the registry entries. Then I downloaded Unlocker to unlock and remove the Easy Video Player folder in the Program Files folder. This solves the problem.
