What BIOS for Windows 7?

Hi.In right now I am with bios windows Vista x 32. I would like to know which a Bios I will use for windows 7? Thanks in advance.

And I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello

I think it depends on your laptop have you be exactly?

On the Toshiba site, I can different versions for laptops, as a 32 bit OS and one for the 64 bit OS. I think that's the only difference because I don t see a special BIOS only for Windows 7.

If you have installed the latest version of the BIOS, everything is ok! :)

  • Satellite A200-1DN - the update of the BIOS for Windows 7

I am running 32-bit Windows 7 on a Satellite A200 1DN. I had battery problems (plugged in, does not support) and I understand that I have to update my BIOS. However I can't find an update of the BIOS for Windows 7, only Vista and XP.

Can anyone help? I should update with the BIOS in Vista? Are there other options to fix this battery? I already tried an ATX reset and uninstall method battery Microsoft ACPI compatible controls.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
    Ian

Theoretically, you can install Windows Vista to update Bios and return Win 7, then. Before you do, try this:

Unplug the computer from the power adapter and turn it on. Let the computer battery power until the computer turns off
Remove the battery. Using a soft cloth, wipe the battery packs connectors and AC adapters.
Reinsert the battery and plug it into the power adapter

also, have you had the same problem before installing Win 7?

  • Satellite A110 - update the BIOS for Windows 7?

Hello. I found two drivers support page to your versions of BIOS for my Toshiba Satellite A110:
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba Windows Vista 32 bit 5, 40 - WIN World Wide
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba OS independent 2, 00 - WIN World Wide

In 'other info' page on first bios there is a warning that this version is only for windows vista, and on the second page 'other info' he warns, that this version is not compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista.
My first question is what this means? If I have OS Toshiba idependent 2.0 BIOS will not install Vista?

My second and more important question is what version of bios should I install if I now use WINDOWS 7 32 bit?

    Hello

    > My first question is what this means? If I have OS Toshiba idependent 2.0 BIOS will not install Vista?
You should be able to install Vista using BISO 2.0 but maybe your laptop will generate some questions
So you need to update the BIOS to 5, 40 - WIN version if you want to use Vista OS.

If you want to use Win 7 on your laptop then you must first install the Win 7 OS and then you should check out how Windows 7 is running

  • HP Pavilion 17-e049wm: update the BIOS for windows 10

    Just updated for Windows 10.

Why am I having trouble finding a bios update.

    Iced42

There is no need to be rude!

There is no driver HP Win10 for your PC as well, when you did the update that you were MS drivers - that offer only basic features.

You do not Win10 BIOS update because HP does not certify your PC for Win10 and, therefore, has not produced any BIOS Win10 updated.

HP has released no timetable for when, or if, they perform BIOS updates for older machines.

  • Satellite A110-180 - update of the Bios for Windows 7 and Linux

    Hello

I want to change the following settings in my bios on my laptop satellite A110-180
    * AHCI for SATA
    Disable the IDE

    But none of these options.
So I thought that maybe I should update my bios.
I found the download page, but there are 2 options: Windows Vista or NO vista, but I want to dual boot windows 7 and linux.

Which one should I download, or is there another option to change the settings?

    Thank you!
    Bart

    Hello

Satellite A110 does not support these options (SATA AHCI).
The update of the BIOS will not help you!

Linux is not supported and therefore, you will not find any special BIOS for Linux OS!

The two BIOS updates are for Win Vista or OS independent.
Therefore, if you use other than Vista OS then you should throw the update of the independent BIOS to the BONE!

But as mentioned above; both options will not appear after the BIOS update!

  • DV6-2018ax Original BIOS for Windows Vista 32 bit

I tried for hours to find the original BIOS for DV6-2018AX (windows 32-bit vista) without success. I know that there is no update BIOS... I'm not interested, in that, just the bios it is out of the factory with. If someone could help me I would be very much appreciated. It is a USB flash... As I can't recover the BIOS by normal means. Thank you.

All versions of BIOS for your model are shown here:

  • What NIC for Windows 2008?  E1000 or VMXNET 3?

In ESXi 4, Windows 2008 SMV seem to want the E1000 NIC model by default when you create a new. However, after reading the KB on this (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1001805), is seems the 3 new VMXNET is supported for Windows 2008 (and Windows 2003 for that matter).

So, what is the best to use? It seems the VMXNET it the best choice because it has all the latest bells and whistles - but sometimes it's a bad thing also. The KB does not really say what to use, but rather what options are available... unless I forgot.

    Any advice?

    SB

WARNING: I have worked directly on Vmxnet3, so I'm probably biased.

I advise to use Vmxnet3. More than a simple saw the latest bells and whistles, his overhead is also smaller than e1000 (and therefore its performance are better) and perennial is that further improvements to virtualization will apply permanently above this one. The device was tested intensively for months and the drivers that we provide are of high quality.

I understand the reluctance to use a completely new device, but you will not be disappointed if you give it a try.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L500-196: what drivers for Windows XP

    Hi all!

I just bought a satellite Pro L500-196 that comes with installed Windows7.

However for the use of the older software I need for my work, I want to install Windows XP from my old laptop.
I want to configure a dual-boot environment, so I use Win7 for most of the time, but be able to boot XP, whenever I need to.

The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
Which of these drivers do I need?
And there at - it instructions in the order in which to install them? Or can I download/order a cd (or cd-image) with all the drivers for Windows XP

As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
    Otherwise WinXP sill only start.
My laptop came without such a DVD, there is just a recovery partition.
Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jürgen from Germany

    > The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
    > Which of these drivers do I need?
There is no required special installation order
But I would start with common as drivers:
Display driver, driver LAN, Wlan driver, Modem driver, card reader controller, driver for the touchpad, etc..

The driver control must be installed before the controls (utility).
    Try it simply.

    > As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
This is right. I had the same problem with Vista and the boot Vista DVD to repair the Vista Boot Manager

    > Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?
Not because it s not the same thing.
The recovery image will format the HARD drive and partitions and will delete the installed Win XP.

  • Satellite X 200 - what drivers for Windows 7?

    Hey guys

Now, I'm going to install Windows 7 on my Satellite X 200 but first I will in fact, I would like to know what driver I need because I heard that some things do not work, as the dvd devic, fingerprints,...

    Details:
    I have 4 GB of Ram DDR3 - 64 bit if necessary!
    PSPB9

I hope you can help me!

    With regard to the Para

    Hey Buddy,

Satellite X 200's official not Windows 7 supported. This means that Toshiba doesn't provide drivers tested for this model. Of course, you can install Windows 7 but all of the drivers and the tools you need to get yourself in the Internet!

What you can test is 64-bit Vista drivers, but nobody can say exactly if they work or not

In my opinion, you must use the operating system preinstalled by Satellite X 200. Who s the easiest way. ;)

  • BIOS for windows 8 on a1477c

Hi I am trying to install windows 8 on a hp pavilion A1477c pc and after restarting the computer to continue with the installation to complete the computer gets stuck in the Windows logo with a status inducator go round. Can someone help me solve this disaster

What I see from your card, Windows 8 will work never properly on this system.  Even with updates of the RAM.  It was a horse died in Win 7.

See the resources to win 8,

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/system-requirements

    Your system is marginal.

BTW the BIOS has nothing to do with this problem

  • Gateway DX4870 - What BIOS for the dual-boot Win8 & Win7?

I have a Gateway DX4870-UR10P desktop computer, with Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit.
The bios is originally shipped in 2012.

I want to run Windows 8.1 PRO 64-bit - disk a hard nine separate. And keep Win 7 on the original hard drive. I probably will add 10.1 Win or above on a drive partition in the future. BTW, I run the Hyper-V virtualization in Win 8 other (Windows XP, Linux).
Download of the available bios (they also list Linux pkgs)
Gateway BIOS - UEFI for P11 Windows 8 (not for updates). B1
    Gateway BIOS P01. A2

If I update the Bios to P11. B1, continue to support Win 7?  In addition, win 10?
Is P11. B1 correct to use bios? Did anyone see any issues, "traps", config problems?

You can update only to this:

    Gateway BIOS P01. A2

BIOS P11 is reserved for the DX4870 who had 8 windows of the factory (no updates)
