• How can I return my default styles for simulation software?

  While trying to remove a custom style I have some successful how to remove the default styles provided with CS9 (even if I hit Cancel).  Now when I try to put in place the style for a software simulation settings I have all of the options and if I click on create new the software crash.  Same thing happens if I click on restore by default.  The software has been uninstalled and reinstalled, but I still have the issue.

  All styles (master slides and skin) are in a theme. What theme are you using? There is no "styles by default', each topic has its styles. Can you be more detailed? If you speak one of the themes included with Captivate, you work with those stored in the Layouts folder in the assets of e-learning in the Public (Windows) or shared documents (Mac). This file is a copy of the original file that you can find in the subfolder layouts in the gallery under the installation folder. You can return to define an original theme by copy/paste to this public folder that I pointed out. If you want to reset all of the original themes included with Captivate, you can also close Captivate, delete the Layouts folder in public documents (NOT in the gallery) and when you open copied CP a new folder will be created in the public documents with all of the original themes.

  I did a full install of Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop computer that is already running Windows XP MCE 2005 32-bit. I didn't know which partition to install the OS on. There were 2 choice: had the majority of hard disk space, the other had a small amount of space (I think it was only a few GB) and next to him, said 'OEM reserved. I didn't know about 20 GB of free space, so I chose the partion with most of hard disk space.

  There are several scenarios where an untrained user this doubt. If there a 8 GB oem partition (wtf for kind of crapware they installed in some systems, ask yourself... ;-)) and a XP/Vista system 100 GB partition C and a 40GB partition and then he might be tempted to choose the 40 GB partition because that has the most available space if, for example, the 100 GB drive is full of movies or other stuff.) So it's a matter of good and valid. I don't know if the system would be able to dual boot automatically if install you on a 40 GB partition in this case, have not yet tried. You know, Andre?   Oh, and in any case: you have made the right choice.   So, check if you can always insert the partition or if your OEM has an update is available for this, if necessary.

  Can someone let me know if there is a way to increase the size of the red zone. As you can see on the screenshot, even if I chose "align the window' the red zone is not able to cover the whole screen I want to capture. I checked the Adobe help site https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/record-software-simulations.html and looks like I could pick screen or application and there area, customize the size, but I do not see these options in my Captivate. I would be really grateful to everyone who looks at this problem! Thank you!  

  

  Yes, you will need to save this as a separate file, nationally (with loss of quality, always!) this project at the same resolution as the current project. After that, you will be able to copy and paste slides recorded to the existing project. The pages that you were talking about were on a new software simulation project.

  It's an odd question since this machine with this operating system is REALLY REALLY REALLY old. If you do not want to use a printer of opportunity then I suggest to H.P. older deskjet series (e.g. 870 C or 870Cxi] I had a few years ago, the 800 series with a parallel port on a Tecra 8100 with then first and went from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. It works perfectly under the two systems.
