  The DOF shows that Oracle keeps the original spec NULLABLE for the column and uses it to generate the DDL orginal, even if there is a primary key on the table and the system views (and COL$) show the column non NULLABLE.
  
  So where is the original information NULLABLE actually stored?

  I think that it becomes a bit messy depending on order of activity:

  You can see Col. .null$ is set to a non-zero when the desrcibe command displays the column as not null, but it can happen for two reasons:
  (a) user sets the column as not null - in which case you get a line in cdef$ with type # = 7
  (b) the user adds a primary key to table - in which case you get a line in cdef$ with type # = 2

  If you declare null AND add a primary key, you get two lines - that's why it is possible for Oracle to determine if he should remove the flag not null when you remove the primary key and also allows dbms_metadata show the create statement of table without a NOT NULL even when describe it the watch with a NOT NULL - dbms_metadata can respond to the presence of the type # = 2 and absence of the type # = 7.

  Someone is very careful and ensuring that the processed or calculated value is a number. "Once could languages as easily the ' Number()" constrictor.

  Since the Math.round and product only numeric values, it is redundant and unnecessary.

  I try to add the PrimoPDF virtual printer driver for my HP laptop.   When you install the software I get the following error msg.

  Click Start > run > cleanmgr.exe

  you could try deleting your temporary internet files.

  Close the browser, open internet options control panel and look for the option to detele the temporary files.

  I have a FORM; When I click in it, all fields are empty. This is what I want. The datablock SHAPE allows for INSERT and UPDATE. Inserting, updating and deleting as it should. Everything is perfect with the following exception:
  
  I can't do a search (F11) of this FORM for the right records when I click first in the FORM. I'll take "* do you want to save changes? "*" even if I just leave as white. When I click on ' * no. * ", it will allow me to type in the MEMBER ID field to locate the record I want.
  I would go into the FORM and able to search everything first. And if it does not find the MEMBER ID, it will ask if the user wants to save the MEMBERID.
  
  What is missing / added to the FORM that makes acting contrary to what I want? I removed the go_block('XYZ') in the One-TIME-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger. I also checked the triggers in XYZ under the blocks of data - and are all there POST-INSERT/DELETE/UPDATE triggers. I don't know where else to look at.

  Check your once - new-* triggers again (not only at the block level). Most likely you are filling of an element hidden with a default value.

  The messages are really a database and compaction it just removes the white space
  assigned to messages that have been previously deleted. The process does not remove all
  other messages. Compaction of the database allows safer and less likely
  to suffer from corruption.

  yesterday, I had a quick look on the key index return to understand what they do and how they work. I created a table called "Loudy: example

  The detail that show you is a block of data in table, so either you have chosen the wrong block or the block you want to see had not been written to disk.

  11g a call to make a dump of the block will be dump raw dumps of this memory block and landfills gross and symbolic of the block to that location on the disc. If you want to be sure that the drive block is the LAST version of the block you expect then you need to force the disk first (for example with a control point (change the system checkpoint) of hunting cache (change the built-in system buffer_cache))
