A failure in the hard drive test indicates a physical problem with the hard drive. In other words, that it should probably be replaced. It is relatively in line with impatience, so you should be able to do it yourself. What is the exact model of the laptop number? I'll find detailed instructions for you.

I'm new to lightroom. I downloaded a bunch of files from my Mac HD. There is a question mark next to each one. What does that mean?

Question mark on these files means that you must be moved/renamed/deleted files on your hard drive where they were originally.
When you import an image in Lightroom, it does not matter the original copy of the image instead it saves to the original location when you import or where you copy the image using Lightroom and it always refers to this place.
So if you want to move or rename these images, you should do it in Lightroom instead of outside of Lightroom.
Now, if you know the current location of these images on your hard drive, you must move them into Lightroom.

If you receive the 8007000 b error when you try to install updates for Windows 7, the Windows file system transaction log is damaged. The transaction log is used by the Windows file system to recover when a file error occurs. To correct this error of update, you clear the log. Here's how:
To clear the file system transaction log
1. click on the Start button and in the search box, type command prompt.
2. in the list of results, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER. (This command assumes that drive C is the drive where Windows 7 is installed. If Windows is installed on another drive, change the drive accordingly letter.)

4. you should see a message saying that the operation was completed successfully. If this is not the case, check your spelling and try again.
