What family shares offer shared Contacts?

My partner and I were sharing a single Apple ID, for all the usual reasons. Move to the sharing of the family, but only if we do not have to maintain separate Contacts (trying to keep their synchronization, etc., etc., is a major concern). We have a "family calendar", but not "household contacts? Makes no sense... maddening.

It's an idea... I can see why it makes sense and I also see why this doen't make sense. Anyway it does no good to tell us. We are all users here just like you.

  • I can do my own shopping with my own method of payment instead of the family share the payment method?

Ive been using account my mother up to this point, but now that I'm going to College, I decided to make my own account. Since all the music that I've ever bought is through his account and all my images are saved to her icloud, I thought I'd set up the family shares for us two. I want my personal music subscription ($4.99 for students), but I want to buy it with my debit card, not the one that is set up for family sharing. Is there a way to do this? I don't want my mother to be charged for my purchase.

The only way to do this is the organizer of the family sharing. For other things like music purchases, it could be made with a gift card to iTunes, but recurring subscriptions, such as music from Apple, it must be done with the credit card for the family Organizer.

  • Is there a maximum number of family members in sharing the family?

I have 6 children, 4 of them have iPads and are members of our family share. However, I can't add the latest to get an iPad. The Add button is it in settings > iCloud > family shares but it is grayed out and not the device. I tried my iPhone and my iMac but can't add? Is there a maximum number of members of the family to a family or something else crashes me to add? Thank you in advance for your help!

See the quote below from http://www.apple.com/icloud/family-sharing/

Family sharing makes it easy for up to 6 people in your family share of each and other iTunes, iBooks and App Store purchases without sharing accounts. Families with the same credit card purchases and approve kids' expenses directly from the device of a parent. Share photos, a family calendar and more to help keep everyone connected. And with a family membership of Apple's music, up to 6 people can get full access to the Apple's music, too.

  • Family shares with separate payment methods

My mother put in place family shares for my brothers and me so that we can all have Apple music without each duty pay separately. However, now charged every time that I try to rent a movie or buying an App of the GET of my mom and when I called the Apple Support, they said, there is no way to make purchases on my own credit card if I am part of the family sharing.

Has anyone found a way around this or am I stuck venmo-ing my mother every time I want to rent a movie?

That's how family sharing works: it creates an adult and all purchases through his credit card.

You could ask a gift card or store credit? It's the only way (and no, there is no way around it).

  • I can list both of my Apple ID in "Family share" to avoid having to switch back to access the App Store?

I have two Apple ID is acquired at the beginning of my experience of MAC and bought apps under each.  Apple is not a procedure to "merge" the two.

Is it possible to list myself twice a family member (s) under my family shares?   The idea is to avoid having to switch between applications update ID.

    Thank you

Yes, you can configure one as organizer and invite the second id. Once they are in the same family, you will be able to switch between the two in one of the 'stores', Mac App Store, iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store. It works great, I use it frequently.

  • Can I allow an application for one person on my family share but does not allow for each other?

Can I allow an application for one person on my family share but does not allow for each other?

You can't delegate who has access and who doesn't have access to the applications. You can lock devices with age restrictions, so only items appropriate age are at their disposal. Or you can hide your list purchases. The purchased app can then be displayed when you want to share with someone else, then be hidden again once the application is downloaded on their device.

    I hope this helps.

  • Are automatically shared Contacts with the members of the family of a device for all devices of the family? One device uses IOS9 and others are using IOS10.

Members of the family can share Contacts?  A member of the family is on IOS9 and others are on IOS10. Our calendars are sharing but not our contacts?

  • Is connected to the same iCloud account family share or is it only the devices corresponding to the code from apple?

I am the Organizer in iCloud family sharing, do what I have save on family members can access iCloud leaves or is it only associated with my apple ID?

Basically, if I activate "iCloud library", it will be accessible to all in my account on the part of the family and what is 'My Photo Stream?

Essentially with sharing family up to six people can share each and other books, iTunes and app store purchases. Also, you can approve children spending from an adult feature. You also share your photos and a family calendar. Also my photo stream is exclusive to only your apple ID. So, if you enable the color only photo library, you will see these pictures by default but you can share them with your family.

  • family shares with several credit cards

If I've set up the family sharing for my iPhone and my iPad 2 children (with 3 different apple id), would it be possible that the purchases for me (on my apple id) is paid by a credit card, and purchases of children (with the permission of me every time) is paid on an another credit card?

The thing is that I want to have my personal on my personal credit card purchases and purchases families on our family credit card.

The only thing I've seen so far is that all purchases can be paid my credit card (family sharing directors-apple ID), but this isn't what I want.

To have your personal purchases on your personal credit card and not the families shopping, you can set up the other accounts with a gift card that gives them a store credit.    See article:

Purchases and payments - Apple Support families

    Especially the section:

    Make purchases

After you set up your family, anytime a family member throws a new purchase, that it will be charged directly to your account, unless the family member has gift or store credit. First of all, their store credit will be used to pay the invoice total or partial. The rest will be billed to the card of the family of the Organizer
