  • Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.3.188.0 is not Exchange buttons of the mouse correctly with Windows Remote Desktop

I use Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center for years with no problems. For example, version 2.2.173.0 worked well. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I swapped the buttons on my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (so that the right button's "click" and the left button displays a context menu, for example). When I connect to a remote computer, traded buttons continue to operate as programmed.

Just set Windows Update to update my mouse and keyboard Center to the 2.3.188.0 version. Now when I use the Windows Remote Desktop to connect to another computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my button is not honored. In other words, on the local computer, the right button of the mouse is 'click '. On the remote computer, the left mouse button is 'click '. The keys are reversed on the local computer, as I have it configured, but not on the remote computer.

I called Microsoft and was transferred to various departments. I would like to report this bug, although I have to pay out of pocket, but there seems to be no way to report this bug.

Is there a way to report this bug to Microsoft? Is there a solution? How can I revert to a previous version of Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

I suggest to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before the update.

You can also uninstall the keyboard and the mouse Center programs and features.

Then, go to this site and download the previous version.

(I couldn't find any previous version on Microsoft sites, but I checked the file hash values, I downloaded Microsoft previously).

  • Special tips for Windows Remote Desktop?

Hi all, I installed ESXi 3.5, then built a virtual machine with Windows Server 2003 R2. Everything works very well. I would like to access this computer with Windows Remote Desktop from another computer on my network. I enabled remote access within the machine virtual, but unable to connect Remote Desktop also.

A clue, it's that I can't ping the remote computer to the virtual machine. Which in itself is strange, because the virtual machine is saved on the router and can see outbound to the Internet. Is there something blocking the other local machines to see the virtual machine?

    Thanks in advance, Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

Check your Windows Firewall, you VM Server 2003 R2.

    NIC Properties 'Advanced' tab,

Turn it off and then try RDP.

Now, the firewall will block your attempts

  • Port changed to remote desktop - could not get through the firewall of Windows 7

In order to get my two work computers from home (via my router) I changed the port number for the remote desktop on one of the machines. Now, I can not him (even to my network of local work) unless I have turn off the Windows Firewall.  With the firewall disabled I can access it fine (with the new port number).  I tried establishing a new rule of inbound traffic but have not been able to get this to work.  What is the process step by step to creating the rule for inbound traffic for that to happen?

  • How to transfer remote ports of windows xp desktop?

I have a mini network in my garage, and they're all sitting on the same subnet. Only Win XP machine is connected wireless to our wireless router, and its internet feed to all other machines on the switch that is in the garage. I can remote into this win xp machine, but if I want to access all the other machines, I have to run remote desktop in this machine of win xp remote desktop.

Lets say that win xp machine has an ip address of 192.163.2.100. is there a way I can configure ports so that I can remote directly in one of the other machines via a port on this win xp configuration so that it looks like 192.163.2.100:60003 or something like that? I basically want to distance directly in one of these other machines via win xp pc.

    How would that set?

    Hi TayseerKadri,

You can take the Office multiple computers to a computer remotely by running different remote desktop application.

You will not be able to run remote desktop in this computer of Windows XP Remote Desktop. If you want to take a remote or multiple computers then you need to run remote desktop for personal computer.

Thank you N Syed, but I finally found a site that has responded to my question. Noted above, and it explains where and what file to find mstsc file and place it in the folder of the comm in VAC. However it gave me an error msg: specified file is not found. PAM handed the file system protected to system32 and instead, I created a shortcut on the desktop. and now, I'll check the link above.

Downloading and the ms support link is fine, but they do not explain where the file is located on your computer, it just says that it is loaded in your pc.

Appreciate your attempt anyway. Thank you and I am afraid that this question is closed.

  • using windows Remote Desktop connection 7 to vista

I bought a laptop with windows 7 and I would like to know how I can remote control my Office Home premium windows vista in my laptop with windows 7.  I read that windows vista does not allow the conections using the remote desktop connection tool.

is the different way to connect to my vista to windows 7, when I'm away from home?

It can be done in certain versions of Vista, but not in all.  The ability is disabled by default.  Here's how to set it to the top and also explains in which versions it works:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/turn-on-remote-desktop-in-windows-vista/.  Unfortunately, Home Premium is not included.

Here is an article on how to use 3rd party free software to add Remote Desktop capablility to Home Premium:http://www.ghacks.net/2007/02/12/add-remote-desktop-access-to-windows-vista-home-editions/.  Use it at your own risk.

    I hope this helps.

  • WINDOWS REMOTE DESKTOP

I can't connect to the work computer via remote desktop. Error, said that this computer can not connect.

Check with your work IT people to see if they allow to connect to desktop computers.  If they do, they will be able to tell you how.  In general, companies do not allow that without a solution VPN in place. Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

  • Windows Remote Desktop to virtual over a Windows Mac computer

    Here is my configuration:

VMware Fusion installed on an iMac with OS X version 10.6.  I want to remote desktop from another PC in the virtual machine on the Mac, but I'm not having any luck so far.

Does anyone know settings ethernet preferred between Mac OS and virtual machine that would allow this?  Or does anyone know any success with this?  Thanks for the help and let me know if more information on my part would be beneficial.

Welcome to the community - I think would be best be bridged--that passing the virtual machine can obtain an IP address on the physical network.

  • I want that my users who log on to the virtual remote desktop to use the one I put in this image and not their local keyboard

Original title: the remote keyboard language

    Hello

I connect to a remote virtual desktop. My local computer uses a different keyboard language than the remote.

I want that my users who connect to the virtual remote control to use the one I have set myself in this picture and not their local since keyboard only supports us that we provide in the virtual, not on their local machine.

I've tried the "Reg" IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout key, but I've been the opposite. Who closes?

Is their a way to force the RDP to use the remote keyboard and not local?

    Thank you
