Windows Remote Desktop for Mac 2.01 - buttons Invisible Radio

I have a MacBook Pro (Intel Core i5 2.53 Ghz to) that I use to connect to a desktop computer Dell Windows XP Professional SP3 Windows Remote Desktop for Mac 2.01.  Connecting to XP from my Mac desktop, everything seems to work properly.  Looking more closely however, radio buttons do not appear on the applications that use them.  This does not work with just a single application, but in all areas with applications and web browsers in the side of XP displaying my Mac desktop.  This problem can also be reproduced with laptops and desktop computers running XP SP3.

If someone has encountered this problem or a solution?

    Hello

I suggest you to post the question on the following link:

  • Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.3.188.0 is not Exchange buttons of the mouse correctly with Windows Remote Desktop

I use Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center for years with no problems. For example, version 2.2.173.0 worked well. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I swapped the buttons on my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (so that the right button's "click" and the left button displays a context menu, for example). When I connect to a remote computer, traded buttons continue to operate as programmed.

Just set Windows Update to update my mouse and keyboard Center to the 2.3.188.0 version. Now when I use the Windows Remote Desktop to connect to another computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my button is not honored. In other words, on the local computer, the right button of the mouse is 'click '. On the remote computer, the left mouse button is 'click '. The keys are reversed on the local computer, as I have it configured, but not on the remote computer.

I called Microsoft and was transferred to various departments. I would like to report this bug, although I have to pay out of pocket, but there seems to be no way to report this bug.

Is there a way to report this bug to Microsoft? Is there a solution? How can I revert to a previous version of Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

I suggest to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before the update.

You can also uninstall the keyboard and the mouse Center programs and features.

Then, go to this site and download the previous version.

(I couldn't find any previous version on Microsoft sites, but I checked the file hash values, I downloaded Microsoft previously).

  • Special tips for Windows Remote Desktop?

Hi all, I installed ESXi 3.5, then built a virtual machine with Windows Server 2003 R2. Everything works very well. I would like to access this computer with Windows Remote Desktop from another computer on my network. I enabled remote access within the machine virtual, but unable to connect Remote Desktop also.

A clue, it's that I can't ping the remote computer to the virtual machine. Which in itself is strange, because the virtual machine is saved on the router and can see outbound to the Internet. Is there something blocking the other local machines to see the virtual machine?

    Thanks in advance, Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

Check your Windows Firewall, you VM Server 2003 R2.

    NIC Properties 'Advanced' tab,

Turn it off and then try RDP.

Now, the firewall will block your attempts

  • Desktop for mac Firefox doesn't save history

Using desktop for mac firefox. Recently, he stopped saving my story. The front and rear buttons still work, typing something into the address window it will draw places I have visited in the past, but only the ones I visited two or three weeks ago. Nothing recent. "Show all history" brings to the top of the window, but there is nothing in it. »

Private browsing is not enabled. I enabled "remember my browsing and download history."

Another answer suggested that I might have an anti virus or something that is disabling history. I looked, but I did do this. Safari and Chrome are all both save their stories normally.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • : Uncheck the [] "always use the private browsing mode.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

So I followed the instructions and created a new host name.  I don't know what to do with it.  Is it wrong?

    Hi Yes,

Remote Desktop, included with Windows XP Professional, allows you to connect to your computer over the Internet from any computer, Pocket PC or Smartphone. Once connected, Remote Desktop gives you the keyboard and mouse control of your computer while showing you everything that happens on the screen.

  • Uncloseable pop-up windows in firefox for mac

    Hello

Some Web sites will open the pop-up windows, even if I have a pop-up blocker enabled.

The problem with these pop-up windows, it is that they have the option close as for other windows of Firefox for Mac.

This results in the ToolTip remains open and the only way I can get rid of it is to stop completely from Firefox.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

Maybe you could try the keyboard shortcut command + W (close the current tab) or command + SHIFT + W (close the current window) when the pop-up window appears in the foreground.

  • Remote Desktop for Windows 7 Professional hangs at welcome screen

Setup: 2 machines on a private network. Trying to remote desktop of Windows Vista Edition full of Windows 7 Professional.

The host machine is running Windows 7 Professional. This Windows 7 machine has 1 single user account which is an Admin that I use to log on (let's say it's 'Joe').

I turned on the remote desktop via computer > properties > remote adjustment > "allow connection of computers running any version of office (less safe) remotely. Then, to be sure my account has access, clicked "select users...". "and above the"Add..." "and 'Remove' buttons, he bed 'Joe already has access."
The client machine that I use remotely to the Windows 7 machine runs Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (let's call it "Joe-notebook").
When I run Remote Desktop Connection program, I tried using the "Joe-Win7" computer name and address local static ip that I assigned to the Windows 7 PC 192.168.1.15.  When prompted I provide the username of the account Admin ("Joe") and the password. At this point, the remote desktop connection goes full screen and I can see that it starts to log on to the Windows 7 computer. A few seconds, the blue spindle stops, and a few seconds later, I get the error message "your Remote Desktop session has ended." The connections to the remote computer was lost, possibly due to network connection problems. Try to connect to the remote computer again... etc"
    I tried:
    1. Disable all the non Microsoft Win 7 PC via msconfig services.
    2. Rename the computer Win 7 PC name.
    3. Assign a static ip address to the Win 7 to use the ip address.
    4. Made sure that RDP was on the list of exceptions to firewall on PC Win 7.
    Things to note:
    • I am able to the RDP of the Win 7 PC to PC Vista Ultimate on my home network.
    • On the network, I have a Windows XP computer that is also unable to RDP to Windows 7 PCs.
    • I recently installed Windows 7 on this PC and RDP has not worked yet, so this isn't a problem 'suddenly '.
    Thank you for your help,
    Andrew
P.S., so far, I am very impressed with Windows 7. Keep up the good work.

I found the problem with my inability to RDP to my Windows 7 computer.

On my desktop Windows 7 Pro, I use a card (Rosewill RNX-G300EX) wireless network. When I installed the drivers for this card, she also installed software GUI of own Rosewill (Ralink Wireless Utility) to connect to wireless networks. This setting overrides Windows 7 is built in the GUI to connect to wireless networks.

On a wild guess, I uninstalled the drivers and software for my wireless card and then reinstalled the drivers only and used Windows 7 built in networking and it works now.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why Windows 7 won't remember my Desktop Slideshow setting after using Remote Desktop for it?

Probably need Windows 7 Professional or better to do, I don't remember what editions have Remote Desktop.
I really love using the Windows 7 with desktop slideshow feature. I have a very large amount of funds in a folder of wallpapers which I configured my 'theme' customization which is supposed to spend on a daily basis.
Usually, the scenery change as they are supposed to, but very quickly, I noticed that once school started, the same background blocked for awhile. After resetting the setting time and time again, I noticed that the background changes is no longer after that I used another machine remotely in this machine.
While I understand why turn off desktop slideshow arrives for remote desktop, why didn't he re - turn on desktop slideshow after disconnecting the remote session?
    Steps to reproduce:
Computer 1: Turn on Desktop Slideshow in customization (Customize, wallpaper, choose a background screen, use fill as a position of the image, change image daily 1, mixed). Save the changes. Save this theme with any name, for example 'the mine'.
Computer 1: right-click on the desktop: notice that she has 'Next wallpaper' from the context menu.
2 (Windows XP) computer: Remote Desktop connection to connect to computer 1.
Computer 2: Close the Office connection remotely using the [X] button on the title bar of masking (disconnection without disconnection).
Computer 1: Connect on your computer.
Computer 1: right-click on the desktop: note that the "next wallpaper" is MISSING from the context menu.
Computer 1: If you go to the customization, the current theme will be unsaved theme that uses the last wallpaper, but don't use a Desktop Slideshow.
This should not happen. He should go immediately to my previous theme, or even if I do not save the theme, it must return to the original values that was there before the use of remote desktop.
Does anyone else know this? Is there a solution? Or am I doomed to have constantly changing my theme daily until Microsoft fixes this (If they decide to)?
    I use Windows 7 Professional build 7600 x 64 (MSDNAA image).

  • Windows Remote Desktop to virtual over a Windows Mac computer

    Here is my configuration:

VMware Fusion installed on an iMac with OS X version 10.6.  I want to remote desktop from another PC in the virtual machine on the Mac, but I'm not having any luck so far.

Does anyone know settings ethernet preferred between Mac OS and virtual machine that would allow this?  Or does anyone know any success with this?  Thanks for the help and let me know if more information on my part would be beneficial.

Welcome to the community - I think would be best be bridged--that passing the virtual machine can obtain an IP address on the physical network.
