    I have win7 and IE11 running on a HP 8540p.  I'm the only person authorized to use the laptop - I am the administrator.

    I keep getting these messages that do not allow to use a file.  What should I change to have privileges for all functions?

    The second file is not cooperating and was not deleted.

    "Not cooperating" can mean many different things. A real verbatim error message would be more useful. In the case of locked files, it is often possible to remove safe mode.

  • BlackBerry App, what is meant by 'Built for BlackBerry' apps?

    Greetings,

    When I reviewed the storefront in my Z10, there is an application called 'Built for BlackBerry' category What is c? I thought that all applications in the BlackBerry World' built for BlackBerry'.

    Thank you

    Shane.

    Built for BlackBerry is a designation achieved by some developers for their applications that include a higher level of control and added features to enjoy the gestures and the OS on your device.

    What is the difference between DC of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Standard DC? I'm looking for the function to extract pages of large documents.

    Acrobat Reader is just a viewer/reader PDF; It cannot modify or create PDFs.

    You will need Acrobat Standard or Pro to extract pages from a PDF.

  • What is the best alternative for the Pages ' 09?

    When I say 'better', what I want for me personally, is a suite of office or productivity app processor matches the characteristics and versatility of Pages ' 09; its other applications still compare well with other iWork applications; He has a history of integration with OS X; and it is well documented with good support. Also, for me personally, is less of a concern because Microsoft Office is available at a reduced cost as I am part of a society not-for-profit. I don't want to limit the question to these characteristics, however, because I am hoping to start a discussion that could be useful to a wider range of people than just me, and I hope that the wider, a question as possible would be more likely to attract the attention of Apple developers to say that if I'm out of patience There are probably others who do the same. Why can't they just continue to support Pages ' 09 up to 5 Pages is substantially more flexible and rich, more closely resembling the Pages ' 09? I downloaded and deleted 5 Pages twice the frustration. I use an older iMac OS x 10.11.4.

    Moreover, the "suites", whose names I know at least are Microsoft Office, OpenOffice Apache and LibreOffice.

    I had started a similar thread and somehow managed to check the wrong box and marked "resolved". I'm trying again in a slightly different wording.

    Apple's CEO and designer of programs/product/teams participate or read these messages because they are busy people. Instead, we are non-Apple employees who volunteer their time to help others solve problems. You can contact the team via the application menu Pages ' 09: provide feedback Pages.

    Your 'best' office suite would be Microsoft Office for Mac 2016 as a replacement for iWork ' 09 apps and their current impostors of Apple. You need to export your Pages documents in Word .doc, because no application in the world can open (faithfully) Pages ' 09 documents but Pages ' 09.

    With office for Mac 2016, you will work in the native Microsoft document architectures such as with the Windows Office 2013 and 2016. No translation on the import or export of worry. Just pure document exchange. You can even open a PDF file for editing in Word for Mac 2016.

    LibreOffice, although free, has a steep learning curve, is a Clone of MS Office and does not work in native Microsoft documents formats, although it can open and save in their. The format of the default document for LibreOffice is the Open Document Format, an international standard.

  • What is the best platform to develop applications for BlackBerry 10?

    Hi all

    I have developed applications for BlackBerry 6 and 7 for the last 3 years, but I am very new to BlackBerry 10. I know that most of the developer would like BB 10 is something new. I have about five years of experience in the JAVA platform, but unfortunately BB 10 is not supported it unless you develop applications for Android and the port at 10 BB.

    When I checked the list of programs that are supported by BB 10, I saw C/Cpp, Cascades, HTML5 and action script among them. But which one to choose? There is where I am confused. I don't have any experience in the above mentioned technologies. If I select, I need to learn from the beginning. When I went through a few posts, I got to know many people prefer to develop in HTML5, as it is a cross-platform technology. But many have said that it may have problems of performance and the native technologies like C/Cpp, waterfalls will be the best options in terms of performance.

    Can anyone suggest me the best technology to start with BB10?

    Cascades is based on Qt, which is a cross-platform C++ library. It encapsulates many low level BB Native API - s for easier use, but you still have direct access to these APIs if necessary. C++ syntax is similar to Java, so it shouldn't be too difficult to pass. I suggest choosing stunts.

  • Made on emulator ripple 9860 and real device 9860 user interface is different for blackberry OS 7.0

    Hi all

    I have developed a hybrid application that works fine on Android for almost all the resolutioh which I have supported.

    For blackberry, I am building and pacakging an application using the ant tool. During the installation of file .cod devive 9860 having OS 7.0, landing page UI get distorted. Running on the ripple 9860 device, UI reneders correctly.

    Please clarify that ripple is to check the user interface on differnet devive resolution or just for the pacaging and building application.

    Thanks in advance

    Usually the user interface between ripple and a device will be, although there may be small differences. Remember that the unit is running the BlackBerry WebKit application on an ARM architecture, while the ripple uses the implementation of WebKit in Chrome on an architexture that corresponds to your operating system. While the bot Webkit implementations, there may be differences in the way they make; all the more up-to-date the implementation on OS 7.0, your implementation of desktop browser is likely.

    That being said, there is not usually very big differences; specifically, you mentioned the word distorted. Could you provide a comparison of the screenshot of what you're talking about?

    In most cases, ripple should provide solid representation, but is always recommended to test on a simulator/device.

  • Passport for blackBerry lock screen stuck

    my passport for blackberry is blocked on the lock screen and does not allow me to enter my password once it comes to enter the characters appearing on the screen keyboard. I tried to restart and reset the phone via the volume and power buttons, but he returned to the same scene. the device doesn't erase itself after more than 10 wrong attempts (since for some reason it does not pass number 6) nor possible to do the same thing with USB connection through link blackberry because I can not enter a password sort (link suggestion does not work due to either http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000035751). the phone was bought on amazon , but on the product support once the PIN code is entered the system responds that this is NOT AN AMAZON PURCHASE. So basically with a new phone (just 3 months) no support what so ever?

    I want to be sure, I understand. You are able to slide up and reveal the password input box. Is this correct? I had the problem (no passport) where dragging up does nothing. But slide up in your case works, to the point where you can not enter the password characters that require you to use the software keyboard. What is the situation?

    As far as being stick to 6 incorrect entries, it's probably safety device that requires the user to enter the blackberry before the device allows the user to try again the password.

  • How to publish a new version of an app for BlackBerry 10

    I had my application for BBOS5-7, and now I've built for BlackBerry 10.

    Should I publish it as an updated version or a new application?

    If I keep the same application but this release as an update, how can I post a screenshot for both applications? I want to keep both versions for the two operating systems in the world of BlackBerry.

    He also tells me that I have a different Package ID when I download the file BAR. What is the Package ID?

    If the two versions of your app do exactly the same thing, I would say just as a new version. Which makes it easier for yourself if you want to update something later.

    If you want to add screenshots for the different versions, you can modify your application. Press the pencil in the provider portal, click on the tab called "Graphics". On the page that opens then you will have the choice between "Default", "BlackBerry OS 7 and earlier ', 'Phone BlackBerry smart, 10' and 'BlackBerry PlayBook. In these sections, you can add the graphics exactly where you want them to be. I think that's what you wanted?

    On the package ID, I find the explanation in this post the best to explain it: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/03/package-id-rejected-by-app-world/

    Keep us informed of what you ultimately choose as your option. I'm curious :-)

  • bar-descriptor for Blackberry 10.3 warnings

    I get under warnings for my bar-descriptor but according to article blackberry, all these permissions are valid for blackberry 10.3. I don't know what is the problem here. Keep it raise warning when I try to export release builds. can someone help me undestand this?

    '_sys_headless_nonstop, system' is not a valid authorization for the 10.3.0 API level

    'read_phonecall_details' is not a valid authorization for the 10.3.0 API level

    'acceses_pimdomain_calllogs' is not a valid authorization for the 10.3.0 API level

    http://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/documentation/Cascades/dev/tools/app_permissions.html

    The warnings are deleted if you generate using the SDK 10.3.1, but they should not cause an error.  Code snippets that you reported looks good, but there is probably a problem where you have placed the lines permission.  Compare where you placed the sample headlessservice.

    But now I have a problem to create the method of the slot to call on the click event of the specific button,

    Here is my code.

    #include

    slots machines
    void clickedSlots();

    int main (int argc, char * argv []) {}

    qputenv ("QT_QPA_FONTDIR", "/ usr/fonts/font_repository/monotype");
    QCoreApplication::addLibraryPath ("app/native/lib");
    QApplication app (argc, argv);

    QWidget window;

    one click = new QPushButton ("Click Me");
    Click on-> setToolTip ("Thanks");
    Click on-> setMaximumHeight (100);
    Click on-> setGeometry (400, 100, 100, 40);

    QMessageBox msgBox.
    msgBox.setWindowTitle ("Hello");
    msgBox.setText ("You Clicked");
    msgBox.show ();
    msgBox.exec ();
    }

    Please help me with this problem. I had started to develop in QT before 2 days only. I'm not familiar with the development of QT.

    Thanks in advance.

    bskania.

    You have the chance, I'm feeling generous today.

    I fixed your code. You should really read the Qt documentation, it's fantastic. Here, it's a good start for the signals and Slots.

    http://Qt-project.org/doc/Qt-4.8/signalsandslots.html

    Mark this message as the solution and give me one as you please.

    main.cpp

    #include

    #include
    #include
    #include
    #include
    #include "myslots.h"

    int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
        qputenv("QT_QPA_FONTDIR", "/usr/fonts/font_repository/monotype");
        QCoreApplication::addLibraryPath("app/native/lib");
        QApplication app(argc, argv);

        QWidget window;
        window.resize(1024, 600);
        window.setWindowTitle(QString::fromUtf8("QPushbutton Background"));
        QPushButton *click = new QPushButton("Click Me");
        click->setToolTip("Thanks");
        click->setMaximumHeight(100);
        click->setGeometry(400, 100, 100, 40);
        myslots a;
        QObject::connect(click, SIGNAL(clicked()), &a, SLOT(clickedSlot()));

        QPalette* palette1 = new QPalette();
        palette1->setColor(QPalette::Button, Qt::blue);
        click->setPalette(*palette1);

        QPushButton *quit = new QPushButton("Quit");
        QObject::connect(quit, SIGNAL(clicked()), &app, SLOT(quit()));

        QPalette* palette2 = new QPalette();
        palette2->setColor(QPalette::Background, Qt::green);
        quit->setPalette(*palette2);
        quit->setGeometry(200, 100, 100, 40);
        QVBoxLayout* layout = new QVBoxLayout(&window);
        layout->setGeometry(QRect(0, 0, 1024, 600));
        layout->addWidget(click);
        layout->addWidget(quit);
        window.show();
        return app.exec();
    }

    myslots.h

    #include
    #include
    #include

    class myslots : public QObject {
        Q_OBJECT

        public:
            myslots() { };

        public slots:
            void clickedSlot() {
                QMessageBox* msgBox = new QMessageBox();
                msgBox->setWindowTitle("Hello");
                msgBox->setText("You Clicked " + ((QPushButton*) sender())->text());
                msgBox->exec();
            };
    };

    myslots. Pro

    TARGET = myslots
    DEPENDPATH += .
    INCLUDEPATH += .
    HEADERS += myslots.h
    SOURCES += main.cpp

    Put all these files in the same folder, run qmake in there, it will produce a Makefile. Run make and it comes out a binary executable called myslots. That and your code works.

    I don't have a lot of changes, I'll let you step through the code yourself to find out what I did. Look at the documentation for help.

    I have not tested this Momentics, nor Alpha PlayBook/Dev. But I'm 100% sure the code works, since I ran it myself.
