What is "Bytes allocated" to a thread on the Graphics tab of latency JRA?

How calculated the "allocated bytes" on the JRA recording when the tab graphic latency and hovering on a thread?

I see 26,552,065,152 bytes allocated for a server that has only 2 GB of memory segment (JRA recording is 30 seconds), so I'm curious to know what means this number. This is in short the memory usage of all objects allocated in the 30 seconds? If so, the sum of the collected waste bytes and the sum of the additional objects in memory ('objects' tab) must be equal to the sum of the bytes allocated for each thread, right?

Thank you
-Bill

This is supposed to be an exact number in bytes of all the objects (if later alive or already GCed) allocated by the thread during the registration period.

See you soon,.

  • ORA-04030: memory of process when trying to allocate 28872 bytes (Alloc mountain environment, Failover SCH)

    Hi all

    I'm using Oracle 11 g R2 (11.2.0.3.0) on AIX 6.1

A third-party application is faced with the ORA-error below:

ORA-21503: program completed by fatal error

ORA-04030: memory of process when trying to allocate 28872 bytes (Alloc mountain environment, Failover SCH)

I use memory_target (AMM automatic memory management) on my database, I assigned 18 GB for my memory_target.

I am facing this problem on a program that runs every day, but I am facing this problem only on the data for a specific day.

Could you please help me solve this problem?

    Kind regards

Keep in mind that we can only respond to data entry and our own experience.

Since you say that doesn't happen at a given date, it might well be a programming error, the design did not account the amount of data.

We have no idea about the third-party application or process running.

But, Yes, however, you must contact application and check or have checked the usual trace file destinations oracle give you whenever something is not completely false in unexpected ways.

You'll have to debug or buy more memory

  • Merge two threads in the same person into one iMessage

I know that this issue has been addressed before. Most importantly, the discussion was on did not understand what the problem is.

So let me try to explain.

Tarzan has an iPhone and an iMac, Jane also has an ios device.

When Tarzan Jane sends an iMessage with his iPhone, Jane receives from "Tarzan" (the iMessage was related to his phone number)

Now, when Tarzan sends Jane an iMessage of its iMac, Jane receives from "Tarzan", but in a separate thread. (This iMessage was related to his email address)

Now Jane is in danger and she wants Tarzan to rescue her, she grabs his iPhone, opens the last conversation with Tarzan and Tarzan 'Help texts

But Tarzan in the jungle and he has only his iPhone with him.

Jane get killed because the imessage is sent to the iMac of Tarzan and not to his iPhone.

    ====

The problem is, you get two threads in the same person, are sent to the e-mail address associated with the iMessage, one for the phone number.  But you can't see the difference between the two (except when you dig deep into the background-info).

If my suggestion of Apple is, they appreciate Jane's life, fix this problem soon: merge those two threads into one.

    IMessage works as it should.

There is also no apple here to read your thread in this forum for a user to.

You can send your comments here http://www.apple.com/feedback/

If Jane was smart it would always send you an imessage using your phone number and not apple id.  Here again, you can add your apple ID to imessage on your phone.

  • What happens when you specify multiple iterations of the parallel loop that you have processors?

I have an app that does the same things together up to 10 times for different material resources. For example, I have a list of 10 COM ports I want to send orders series. I want that they be executed as close to synchronous as possible, but up to 200 ms sync would be acceptable. Currently, I use a loop set up to 10 parallel iterations and assume that LabVIEW will juggle processors according to the needs, the iterations run it as simultaneously as possible. Experimentally, LabVIEW indeed seems to create 10 parallel loops, even when running on a computer with only 4 logical processors, otherwise you go 10-element inside the loop would only be not able to complete, right?

My question is, I'm doing something verboten with my number of iterations of the loop? According to the help of LabVIEW for loop iteration parallelism dialog box: "If you plan to distribute the VI on multiple computers, set number of instances of parallel loop generated equal to the maximum number of logical processors, you wait for one of these computers contain never.» Clearly I'm violating this opinion and yet it seems to work. My performance will essentially be the same as if I had 10 blocks of code in parallel on the block diagram?

"Reading'how many Threads don't LabVIEW allocates?" links to this page, it seems that, at worst, LabVIEW is hungry for thread and switching of threads between iterations, but my short demand slowing down enough to accommodate this suboptimal situation. At best, LabVIEW has allocated 4 threads per the enforcement system, so as long as I have at least 3 processors, there are at least more son than the parallelized loop iterations. It's all a bit confusing.

In this case (where you're interacting with the external hardware and have an appointment) there will be a delay of inheirant at each iteration.  THUS, "Oversubscibing" or by allowing the parallel proceedings as logical processors, actually improves performance by running another period of waiting during the iteration.  In fact, you're not "Violate the advice" of oversubscibing.  You use this technique correctly! Just may not have read about this.  See Esp PP 4

What happens to my files when I reinstall the os?  they are always there?  are they all us date to reinstall substituted for their creation date?

Because you will lose the lot, you will need to restore from your external backup. If you do not back up your files regularly then it is a good time to review your backup strategy.

You can always back up your files to boot the machine with a Ubuntu boot CD. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult than restoring from a backup disk.

  • Why almost all javafx methods must be called from the thread of the application?

I have a pretty big 3D scene that is refreshed every few seconds.

It takes a while to update the scene, and I wanted to do it in a background thread.

Problem is that almost every approach I take requires the application-fx thread.

Now, I understand that change the UI itself must be called in the application thread, so I tried a different approach:

Create a new group, add all the nodes (which takes the greatest amount of time) and update the component root of the view with the new group.

I assumed that only the last party required the application thread, but alas this was not the case.

group.getChildren () .add also requires that the thread of the application. Why?

node.setLayoutX () also requires that the thread of the application. Why?

It is a new set of nodes that are not visible and groups yet, so why can't do this in a background thread?

The reasons of principle (I think) that JavaFX is mainly a single toolbox threaded are described in:

    https://weblogs.Java.net/blog/2004/10/19/multithreaded-toolkits-failed-dream

That said, if you manipulate objects that are not part of an active scene, then it should work.  The dream that failed has what to do with the components who participate actively in the molten, interactive GUI.  If you're interacting with only the components out of the screen, then it (should be) without issue.

Please, create and post an example minimum, executable that replicates the question.

(Please ensure that the example is minimal and executable).

In addition, what is the cause as your application "takes some time to update the scene?  Computers are today quite incredibly fast.  Of course, there are valid reasons for some things take time, I wonder what these are in your case.  What is the time?  If your executable example can include something reasonably representative of what you're done which shows something that will take "some time", would be great.

What you have described so far, I feel that, even if there is no problems with threads, your proposed approach would not fix your performance problem.

  • At what level is the store of data latency measured?

    Hello

I have a question about latency of data store. I see that, generally, 20 to 30 ms latency limit before having the performance issue, but at what level is this limit? It is the seat of the latency of the VM? See vsphere?...

In Vcops, when I select a data store and access operation - details see read/write latency: see comments AVG or device AVG? (see image below)

    Latences_Datastore.jpg

When I select a VM in Vcops to see the latency time "of virtual machine", what is the difference between latency vDisk and the VM latency data store?

    Latences_Datastore_2.JPGLatences_Datastore_3.JPG

I know there are a lot of questions in one thread, thank you in advance to those who take the time to answer.

As esxtop counters, you have different counters to measure different parts of the stack. If you have latency at a disk level your queues will be filled and reflected. Latency of disk order is good enough to pick up underlying storage latency, but it depends what resource you are watching. The attributes derived from 'latency' exist here and there which are calculated based on the type of storage/etc to simplify your life and give you one place to search.

When you start to look at the latency of the queue, you must keep in mind that focuses only on the queue. Take a look at the Duncan article (ESXTOP - bricks yellow) on it and your questions will probably be kept clear with regard to what are the bits/s and for the disk counters.

  • messages between the main thread and the FX application thread

I run a thread of the Application of FX for a main thread using Application.launch [described here: {: identifier of the thread = 2530636}]

I try to have the application thread return information on the main thread, but Application.launch returns void. Is there an easy way to communicate between the main thread and the thread of the Application?

So far, I googled and found:
    -MOM (Message Oriented Middleware)
    -Sockets

Thoughts/ideas/examples are appreciated--especially examples ;)--now I try to use Sockets to show/hide the application and data transmission.

What is the preferred method? Are there others that I did not find (gasp) via Google?

    Dave.

Is there an easy way to get a reference to these objects to both the main thread and the thread of Application FX - called via Application.launch () since the main thread? Or what I need to use Sockets or MOM?

Not much to do with the concurrent programming is what I would call easy. It looks easy - but it's not.
You can do kind of what you're describing using Java concurrency constructs without using sockets or a package of Message Oriented Middleware (MOM).
With the Java concurrency stuff you really implement your own form or MOM light.
If you have quite an application is complex with many messages of comes and goes, then a sort of package for MOM such as the camel and ActiveMQ (http://camel.apache.org) is useful.
    ---------
You can find a sample of the various interactions of thread with JavaFX here:
https://gist.github.com/jewelsea/5500981 "Simulation of dwarf dragons using multiple threads to eat."
Related code is just demo-ware to try different competitive access facilities and not necessarily a recommended strategy.
If your curiosity, you can take a look and try to work out what it is, what it does and how it does.
The main reason followed is that of a blocking queue:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/javase/6/docs/API/Java/util/concurrent/BlockingQueue.html
    ---------
Note that once you call launch of the main thread, no subsequent statement in the main method will be different until the JavaFX application terminates. If you can't start from the main thread and communicate with the main thread JavaFX application. Instead, you need to spawn another thread (or a set of threads) for communication with the JavaFX application.
    ---------
But really, in most cases, the best solution with the simultaneity is not care at all (or at least as little as possible). Write everything in JavaFX, use the animation of JavaFX framework to time related things and the simultaneity of JavaFX utilities for when you really need multiple interaction of wire.
    http://docs.Oracle.com/JavaFX/2/threads/jfxpub-threads.htm
    ----------
For additional assistance, you may be better off describing exactly (i.e. really specific) what you're trying to make in a new question, perhaps with a solution of the sample in a http://sscce.org NBS
