What is cd that came with my monitor?

Hello - have new monitor 20 "W207a - did not use the enclosed CD and there was no use/maintenance manual - just a photo how to attach monitor to his"stand! "   -What CD will do - what - to - do I need?   Thanks in advance-

It is not necessary. It is because (Windows, OSX, Chrome and Linux) operating systems have their own drivers for monitors (and displays) included. All you need to do is connect the monitor to a PC or laptop.

Normally, the CD includes the manual in PDF for the monitor (or screen). You can find the same information on the support Web site.

I just click 'ok' and he goes, but, as for what it stop popping up everytime I start my computer.

Can someone help me with this?

    Aprilm,

You are LuLu5119, who posted a question last August?

If this isn't the case, you should have started your own thread.  If so (and even if not), you should have responded to questions about Dell printers.

Assuming that you complain of a "Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll" message that appears when you start your computer, you should know that the DLBUtime.dll file probably has something to do with the software from Dell which has been partially deleted, but could also be indicative of malware as well as partially withdrawn.

In both cases, the best way for start you to prevent the message at windows is to download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Install the Autoruns and let it complete the scan of your computer.  Then click on the "Connection" tab and uncheck the following entry:

Look for an entry that has 'DLBUCATS' in the first column.  If you do not see that, look for "rundll32 \3\dlbutime.dll" in the last column ("path of the Image).

Uncheck that entry, close Autoruns and restart your computer.  You should get is no longer the message.

If for any reason, you find later that you need dlbutime.dll running, run Autoruns and check the box. If you decide that you need never again, run Autoruns, right-click on the entry and select Delete.

As General precautionary measure, in case your entry dlbutime.dll was related to malicious software, rather than the Dell printing software, download the following free scanners:

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware Portable: http://superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html

For MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, download, install, update and run.
For Portable SAS, follow the instructions on the Web page (note that the instructions assume that you use a different computer to download; if you're not, just make a note of the name of the file).

I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a VGA DVI-adapter.  Tonight, my monitor went down.  Brand new monitor works with that? Any recommendations? Can I use an adapter?  If yes should which adapter I?

You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  • The GT630 that came with my HP h8 - 1360t output VGA for my HP w2007 monitor?

I did research on this issue since about an hour and have not found an answer 'solid '.  There is no VGA/DB15 port on my video card and NVIDIA site presents DB15 ports when their 630 s.

    So I ask

    1. Why are there no DB15 port on my card?

Thank you in advance for you help.

With the help of a PC HP HPE h8 - 1360t, monitor HP w2007, Win 7 and I am very grateful!

Thank you for the updated information.  Unfortunately, I can't say that the OEM version will allow the adapter VGA to add or not.  I have found no information about this issue and I don't have access to a review and provide a precise answer.  If someone has done this, feel free to chime.

About the add-in VGA, remember that the back plate will have a slot for him as well. Personally, I do not recommend physically modding any component due to the concern about security.  You might want to consider the limited warranty.

The big problem, as you will encounter, but most computers use DVI - D.  VGA is purely analog and DVI - D is only digital.  Most PCs now use DVI - D, which will not work with a simple DVI - VGA adapter.  The converters that would a DVI - D to work with VGA are generally expensive (even more than a DVI KVM switch).  There are DVI - D to VGA adapters that work, but they are rare and usually not specified.   It'll be cheaper to start with a DVI - D to VGA (provided that the DVI port is DVI - D).  This claims to be a DVI - D to VGA.  Base don this siteand the image, the adapter doesn't seem to be an adapter DVI - D dual link would work.  However, some reviewed said that he is in reality a DVI - I adapter that would work for this scenario unless the video card's DVI - I instead.

The following options would be to use a KVM DVI switch or upgrade the monitor.  From my research, it seems that he had options in two similar categories in the price.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).

  • I have three questions: 1) what can I play the shuffle through my car stereo system? (2) can I download music on Amazon? (3) can I use the a/c plug that came with my Kindle to load form a socket a/c?

    (1) can I play my shuffle through my ca stereo?

    (2) can I download music on Amazon?

    (3) can I use the a/c plug that came with my Kindle to charge the shuffle of a socket a/c?

    (1) you will need to check the documentation for the stereo system in your car for devices supported, to ensure compatibility with the USB port on the car stereo system.  If the car has a "taken auxiliary input" (a mini jack stereo - looks like the headphone jack), you can connect the shuffle (or any device) it and 'play' the shuffle.

    (2) music from Amazon is in regular MP3 format.  MP3 work with iTunes; You can add MP3 files to iTunes from any source.  Once in iTunes, you can synchronize files MP3 song for the shuffle, in the same way as a song on iTunes Store AAC files.  There is no difference.  NOTE: Amazon has a Mac app to add songs purchased directly in the iTunes library.

    (3) may, if it provides sufficient power, and it has a standard USB port on this subject.  We recommend that you use USB port on the computer or an Apple power adapter.

  • can't activate windows xp with the product key that came with the computer

I got a computer of 510N HP Pavilion from a friend who was absolutely riddled with viruses and malware of all kinds.  Every thing I did to clarify apparently nowhere got done or made it worse.  At the end of the day, the computer would only begin to restart, stop after the start of the HP logo screen, then start to boot, etc and more.  All I could do was to install the hard drive in another computer and format, from scratch.  Now, I'm trying to install the system to XP op for the disc that came with the computer.
the problem: the code the product key on the case went wrong with the disc.  After searching for solutions, I found a code on the disk by searching the files it contains, tried and it worked!  Problem is when I try to turn it on, it says it's an "unauthorized product key."  I tried to enter that code on the box and who says he is "invalid".  The Cd look authentic; are for distribution with new pc HP and Compaq.  After a further inspection drives are XP Professional SP2, while if it is XP Home Edition.  What gives?  Activation does not anyway. It is any use that will not make me buy a new set of disks?

Please let me know if more info or detail is necessary.

PS - only a single piece of hardware has been changed - the cdrom initially provided with the computer was bad, so I went out to perform the installation.

When you perform a restore to the factory on some HPs condition you have two choices: 1) a restoration which keeps your data and programs (in a repair installation); (2) a full destructive restore which brings back the machine to the State, it's when you first opened the box. In your case, you have already wiped the drive, so the question is moot. I would call the HP technical support. Normally when you use an OEM recovery media (HP, Dell, etc.) a product key is never required during the restore. If you have used the media to restore HP shipped with your system and are always asked for a key and one on the sticker machine is not accepted, then something is certainly. • Lost windows vista cd that came with the laptop

    Hey guys,.

I own a t500 and I lost my cd of windows vista that came with it. I had planned to reformat my computer. What are my options to get a new copy of this cd? and lets say I wanted to upgrade to windows xp or 7, so which version should I?

Thanks a ton guys, I appreciate it.

Microsoft's XP cd won't work, unless it's a XP OEM disc (that microsoft not distribute themselves). Also, you would need XP series No. to activate the XP operating system which you do not have.

Try to call Lenovo and they can send it to you for free, as long as you have the remaining warranty.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • Uploaded image of Windows 7 Professional will not accept the product key that came with my computer.

I have a Dell laptop, Studio, approximately 1 year, delivered with Windows 7 Professional installed - the label with the genuine product key is located at the bottom of the laptop. Shortly after I got it I deleted the recovery partition to make room for Linux installed next to Windows. I had problems with Windows system (mainly caused by me bad installation software and drivers without proper backups) so I decided to reinstall Windows. I had already deleted the recovery partition and wouldn't use it anyway because I prefer a clean system without unwanted from the manufacturer in this regard. I did not receive a Windows operating system installation DVD with my computer, so I downloaded a (64-bit Windows 7 Professional, the same as the original operating system) which already had SP1 on it (the version of Win7Pro installed Dell's not SP1). I installed Windows on this drive and attempted to activate using the product key that came with my computer, but it would not accept the key. I don't have time to try to solve this problem, but now the period of one month is up and my computer does not work correctly.
I suspect that the problem may be due to me using the SP1 disc. If this is the case, should I reinstall Windows again? I have * NOT * GOING to buy another product key when I have already paid for a genuine version of Windows. I just want to be able to use my computer without the ridiculous slowdowns caused by pre-installed software and the way I chose.

Thanks for any help with this problem, I really need fo fix my computer.

but the key I tried to use is what I copied on the COA the day I got the computer of the book where I put all the information on my computers.

Is the product key in your book is the partial key in your report?
You must change the product key to the one on your COA.
Check your compartment of the COA.
The other solution is to reinstall your Dell OEM recovery disks or recovery partition. This self will activate your computer.
    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

    (A) OEM SLP: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

    (B) COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

I bought asus n55sf notebook, The OEM OS (Windows 7 Home Premium) it comes preinstalled without any image or cd and I want to ask to download an original copy of Windows 7 Home Premium from microsoft using the key provided with the laptop

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.
