What is the best Windows 7 Optimization Guide out there?
I have the head EMC has a very good guide, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice/suggestions? In a nutshell, I have no problem whatsoever resources for my view environment, if something we have more structured, so I want to optimize the image of Win 7 for representation only and not because of limited resources. Thank you!
This is the same guide, Tim just posted, but for some reason, the link that it affected is an updated version of the guide that does not include the commands.txt attachedments, it don't:
BTW: Optimizing your desktop for VDI can be overstated, you should really do this without worrying if everything goes well, you simply burn cycles, IO because Microsoft has activated as controls Tablet without reason of things.
Hi, I want to know what is the best way to optimize a SQL query, call a function inside the SELECT statement, or make a simple join?
It depends on. Could be a. Could be the other. Could be no difference. You would need to compare with your tables in your environment with your settings.
If you put a gun to my head, I was given no other information and required that I answered the question, I would tend to wait that the join would be more effective. In general, if you can do something in pure SQL, it will be more effective than if you call PL/SQL.
Can someone tell me what is the best guide to optimizing XP Image to follow there?

What are the best ways to display HD content from a Windows 7 computer over a network cable on HD TV remote?
I have Win 7 Ultimate and get an Oceanic Time Warner Cable Card and adapter Tuning and have ordered a VisionTek ATi Wonder HD 650 PCI Express card TV Tuner. This should allow to register me HDTV at the office. Now, how to play in HD on the Home cinema in the living room and the bedrooms? It seems that the Media Center Extender V2 are currently abandoned. So my question is to the specifications above, that what would be the best version of windows to run?
Just to make sure on this wireless driver before you buy Windows 7:
As in the Forums of HP's Support.
More to buy 64-bit, but to use it effectively, you must at least 4GBs of RAM; you have only 3GBs
This applies to all operating systems:

I believe that my laptop has a virus or spyware. It is slow and take ages to get up. Also during the use of internet Explorer is very slow in browsing the internet.
During the use of msn chat voice sometimes it freezes.
What is the best way to be sure that there are no viruses.
I already have Norton 2007 with the last update.
> What is the best way to ensure that there are no viruses?
The best way is to use an Antivirus application and some Anti-malware and Trojan applications.
You already use the Norton Antivirus program. It is very good. Remember that this application is always up-to-date.
Additionally, you could install Adaware. It is freeware tool and it scans your operating system for malware.
But the virus or malware is not always a reason for a BONE of freezing.
Please check your processes that are run in the context of the BONE. You can also use the application called CNettoyez.
It scans you BONES of this situation and repair the registry.

What is the best feature of Mac may offer that is not available in Windows?
It is almost impossible to answer without going through every single features on both.
My "Favorites": it has Mac OS - I don't do Windows no matter what flavor (I tried several times and has given rise to a headache each time).

How to uninstall Firefox 17 and install Firefox 16 on my pc or what is the best version to use with the Tablet? Thank you if you have a solution. Using Windows 7 Home premium.
The best version to use is Firefox 17 (this is the stable version). regarding the best applications, it is all up to you on what you want to use.
What is the best strategy to migrate data from Windows to one Mac to another? I use Parallels Desktop to run Windows on my current Mac but want to use Bootcamp on my new.
If it is only the data (not apps) I use Dropbox. It turned out to be the best way to move things between the side Mac and the bootcamped Windows of my iMac side. I don't see why it would not work to move data from a virtual machine installation of Win to a BootCamp installation.
I have Windows XP Professional and see that Windows XP will support ending April 8, 2014. My question is quite simple: what is the best operating system to install instead of XP? Is - this Windows 8, Windows 7 or Windows 8.1? I don't want a touchscreen application. I'm used to XP. I have a desktop computer with a lot of programs running at the same time, am constantly downloading big files and open the three browsers (MS IE, Google Chrome, Mozilla). I can't afford downtime if things stop grinding and safety is an important issue for me. I want to continue to receive updates. Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone had Windows XP Professional and already past to another OS? If Yes, what kind of problems you are having or, at the other end are things runnig smoothly?
I don't have personal experience with Win 8, so take the following with a grain of salt. It is my understanding that Win 8 is really designed for touch screens, although it works without one. There was a lot of vocal dissatisfaction with Win 8, but which can decrease as people get more used is a pretty important user interface change.
I had XP Pro Win 7 Pro change quite easily. In addition, if you plan to use your hardware even (rather than buying a new computer with Windows pre-installed), your old hardware is support Win 7 to 8 win more.
My suggestion: go with Windows 7 Professional
If you plan to install one of these operating systems on your current hardware, run these first:
I have xp pro sp3... and I think to get windows 7. but I read on a win7 problems. so when I get my new laptop, should what operating system I install it? XP or win7? What is the best?
Given that the new laptops do not come with Windows XP (and probably wouldn't support the OS even if you install a retail version of XP), I think that your choice (depending when you are considering buying) will be between Windows 7 and Windows 8.
