What is the difference between DataOutputStream and OutputStream?

Please don't say no red lipstick.

OutputStream accepts bytes or arrays of bytes and writes a stream of bytes.  DataOutputStream accepts other primitive types (int, long, float, double, etc.) and writes a stream of bytes.
